To be clear, the Dotson trade has close to 0 impact on McLaurin. Dotson was already competing with Dyami, so this is basically just Dyami winning that job. I suppose the risk that Dotson becomes good again is gone, but idk if that really existed to begin with. This also opens the door for that third pick to be used in a trade for Aiyuk (which I don't THINK will happen, but still could). Overall, McLaurin is still first (obviously) but Dotson being traded to the Eagles doesn't make him some epic pick now.
I do not get the hype for Ridley as a target. He is going to be a complete bust.. He going to a less proven QB, playing opposite of another WR target hog now and did not meet expectations as the true #1 last year... am I missing something?

If you look at the past history of the WR1 on a team that starts a rookie QB. In the last 13 years only 7 WRs had 1000 yards with a rookie starter and none of them had 10+ TDs. In the last3 years, only 10 WRs that have been able to be top 24 WRs without 1000 yards, and half of them had 10+ total TDs. Of the 10 non-1000 yard top 24 WRs, only two managed to be top 10 WRS, and both had 12 TDs. The rest were WR18 or worse. In his career, McLaurin has only surpassed a WR23 finish once, and he was WR14 that year. McLaurin's ceiling looks to be a middle to low end WR2 this year. My rankings would be Diontae Johnson>Chris Godwin>Terry McLaurin>Calvin Ridley>Christain Kirk. And Kirk is only last because I'm worried he won't play in 2 WR sets.

With TE, I'm thinking of passing on the top 5 and going with the Engram/Ferguson range. I think both of them will be featured in their offenses. That means I could take a top QB in round 3. My draft will probably look like (each round) WR, RB, QB, WR, WR, TE/RB, TE/RB, etc.

I think Hollywood is clear league winner from mid rounds by far best situation of his career. He had lowest catchable pass rate in nfl last year. He chose to sign with chiefs for less than other offers on table to raise Value next year. A talented player playing in good situation for first time in career betting on himself is guy I wanna bet on. People are unreasonably scared of minor injury outside chance he's out there week one not injury that lingers and play he got injured was mahomes first preseason pass a first down completion to Hollywood on great route
For me personally the ranking looks as following: 1. Ridley 2. Godwin 3. Terry 4. Diontae 5. Kirk - Ridley is the high Risk high Reward option of the group. TEN could be as bad as last year, but if they let Lewis loose and he takes a step forward, this could lead to great upside for Ridley. - Godwin should get more TD's as they are the most volatile Stat in Football and there should be a regression. But at the same time i don't see big upside with the Bucs and although his TD-Rate might improve, the sheer lack of TD's overall might hurt him. At the same time he should have a safer floor as Ridley. - Terry should also have a very safe floor, but i'm not sure how high the upside with Daniels really is. The Offense might get a little faster and better, but they will run a ton and Daniels might not be the best passer in his Rookie year. If he hits, he's got the most Upside, but i'm afraid of the risk. - Diontae has the safest floor and should easily be the clear cut #1 in the Panthers offense. But what is that worth? Bryce Young was horrible in Year 1 and would need to take a giant step forward. I think he will be better, but i don't think that it provides enough upside for Diontae. - Kirk lacks upside for me. He can be a WR 2, if he gets elite volume, but even then his Upside isn't any higher. If Nick is right and he could even loose some Snaps and his competion increased, that's no Pick i want to make.

There were a good amount of players were top 25 ppr wr that were drafted from teams that weren’t considered “good” octane offenses before the start of the season.
@johnjacobs3601 true, but his QBs have been very mediocre to bad. Daniels has a chance to turn that around. But honestly, getting him in the 7th means he'll be a WR2 most likely unless I want to draft only RB and my TE and QB beforehand.

Another thing for Mclaurin is not only are they going to be fast paced but the Cowboys and Eagles are all expected to play fast and score points. That's 4 potential monster games for fantasy points. Then add in games against the Cardinals, Bengals and Bears.

I have no issue with Terry being my WR1 this year, if i go RB heavy the first few rounds. I have high hopes for him!
Pretty aggressive for a guy that has never finished as a WR1, but has finished as a WR3 three different seasons out of 5
