bro it's crazy to me that people judge the GOAT convo so hardcore by championships. I get that it's all about winning, but like he says in this video essay: it's a team sport. drives me crazy because they do that kind of nonsense with the regular season MVP stuff too. you can have the best stats of anyone in the league across an entire season and still lose MVP to someone else who had just "good" numbers and was on a team with the best record. MVP = Most Valuable PLAYER. GOAT = Greatest Of All Time.....greatest what? it's not team. they're talking about the greatest PLAYER. who is the best INDIVIDUAL in the sport. and the biggest arguments anyone ever uses with MJ is PPG and Finals record. well LBJ has the scoring record with around 20% more points than MJ finished with and if you're looking at the scoring record as a competition, MJ didn't even podium (he's in 5th place), yet he's the assumed greatest scorer of all time....and LBJ does more than just score as well. he's 4th all time in assists. MJ is 51st on that list with about HALF of the assists LBJ has. even with LBJ being 35th in all time rebounds, he still destroys MJ who is ranked 147th. so........LBJ has WAY better all time numbers across all major stats but somehow he's not as good at basketball? and don't come at me with "BUT MJ DID IT IN LESS TIME" blah blah blah. he quit. that was his decision. you can't come at me with what ifs to win the argument, and btw you DO NOT want to play that game with LBJ because you might not like the way it improves his argument. but that's just it: a what if scenario is not an argument because it's not reality. it didn't happen. add to all this the level of competition that LBJ has had to face vs MJ and it starts looking less and less close. LBJ is the GOAT and I don't think any player is really that close to him, including MJ. and no I'm not a young delusional gen-z kid. I was a big MJ fan and grew up watching him. stop bringing emotion into it. crunch the numbers. look at the facts. LBJ is the GOAT. and I'm not emotional about that like MJ fans are. if someone else comes along and puts up a better case for GOAT, then I'll accept them as the new GOAT.

LeBron James is definitely a great player but he's missing that killer instinct that Jordan and Kobe had. His toughness isn't up to par w/ them either.
Jordan and Kobe are missing that “all around” game. Toughness is subjective.
His lack of toughness is just your minority opinion. His clutch time stats (which are facts) overwhelmingly prove the opposite of what you believe
