A thing to note is when newjeans do 2 part videos it means its going to deep in story and lore.. newjeans lore focuses on para-social relationships between fans and idols and this video is no exception its actually very deep in metaphor... newjeans themselves are the supernatural beings/aliens... this is a metaphor for being idols and idol life.. they have lived on earth for 40 years (not aging is possibly a metaphor for idols having to look young for as long as possible) the argument early on is about how the humans have found out that they are aliens and are now after them so they have to leave back to their planet for safety.... this is probably metaphor for when kpop fans find out something they don't like about their idols and are immediately attacking them with hate comments (this para-social aspect is in a lot of their videos). However the one girl has fallen for the boy and is reluctant to leave earth because of this.. so the other (minji) is trying to split them up and in the end she reveals to her that he has a drinking/littering problem and is a bad apple... so she sees it for herself and is shown leaving earth on the ufo hand in hand with minji.. Theres actually way more going on with dani controlling the weather with her storm powers and more storyline but i'll leave it here so its not too long... and yes you should watch part 1 :P Th animals all have the same black and white striping and are actually animals from their home planet
Lisa is from Blackpink... and Blackpink are VERY different to newjeans.. they have a much more modern 'trap' style which to me is pretty much loud noise and shouty raps... newjeans music is polar opposite.. Nostalgic 90s sounds centering around RnB and its 90s club and dance derivatives... This is late 80s to early 90s 'New Jack Swing' and i can see why you get MJ from it but its actually more Janet Jackson who was way more New Jack Swing than Michael was.. this song actually reminds me of a classic in the genre in Bobby Browns 'Every Little Step'.. the double kick thing they do is even one of his signature moves.
