Few people bring a truly original sound to house music. It’s all very well making some nice grooves and working the dancefloor, but when it comes to longevity and leaving an indelible mark on the genre and the wider musical sphere, you’ve got to bring something new to the table. @@zhon8277 I actually had a conversation with one of my older friends about music we grew with vs. music we got to know about through research but was before our time. I actually understand your comment about not understanding the music because at that time period that song may have meant something completely different and was probably a turning point for a lot people (especially if was popular).
But for me its kind of confusing because with the internet I am able to relive and experience things that I wasn't intially apart of because I wouldn't have been old enough. The problem is that things that are current now seem meaningless therefore I feel like I'm stuck in the past ....
