Landscape Photography | Difficult Seascapes

- I think the best thing about taking photographs, other than the experience, is making an image when you think there is no way, one can be had. That can often be in difficult conditions, when it's raining and your kit gets wet. It can be when it's windy and your tripod isn't playing ball or in can be when. your hat falls off and you think ...... why am I here?
Shooting at the coast will bring you many of those challenges and more.
Peace x

Love your black and white seascapes Paul like the high contrast with the black rocks
Thanks Martin
Really enjoyable watch Paul. So helpful the plain way you explain your thoughts before taking a image. Beautiful Mono photographs to boot. Thanks for sharing.
Many thanks for the lovely comment Shaun. Thank you .
See you had some lovely Cornish weather. Usually rains on me'n all. Hope you all had a good weeks holiday. Stay safe & well my friend.
it was rather wet lol. Thanks Nicky
Wait for a bus all day and then two come at once. Another great vlog Paul and some fab images. Love seascape photography.
Ha thanks John . Things will be a bit more regular from now on
Nice images Paul. Love the b/w, wish mine were as good. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Ian very kind.
Love the contrast in the black and whites.
Thanks Neville.
Nice video Paul. Lovely images.🙂👍
Cheers Mark
Very pleasing. I think black and white/mono can be every bit as satisfying as colour.
Thanks Chris
Excellent as always Paul, B&W work really well on them sort of days anywhere and sometimes are the only images that are worth taking
Thanks Mark
Some fine mono seascapes, good to see another video from you!
Thanks Neil. Glad you liked them.
Hi Paul love the black & white shots they bring out something more in poorer weather and especially by the sea, I just done the NC500 and had a few days of low cloud and mist which colour just couldn't capture properly but different black and white tones was perfect, great Vlog again Paul 👍
Thanks Andrew. Hoped you enjoyed your trip.
2 videos in less than just over a week. You spoil us PJG :)
Ha thanks buddy. A bit like buses
Wish I could find a beach with so few trippers about just now! Love your work though 😊👍🏻
Thanks buddy. I think this time next year there will be a rebound and UK will be a lot quieter.
We are lucky living 40km from the Wild Atlantic Way. The disadvantage is being relatively shallow, the waves crash creating a lot drama, and spray! The strong wind whips it about wicked. I can get through a lot of Zeiss wet wipes on a good day. Great vlog and a cracking image at 6.20 Paul.
Cheers
Diz
Thanks Diz. sounds like a great place e to live :)
@@PaulGJohnsonphotography The offer of guided tour still stands😁 Cheers Diz
Thank you :)
Great video Paul showing us the lovely Cornish landscape. I love your images especially the first shot of the serpentine with the gulls perched on the rocks in the background. The reduced colour palette really brings out the textures and creates a beautiful ethereal picture.
Thanks buddy
Awesome Paul, good to see you are still hanging around. Love the images, keep them coming.
Thanks John
@@PaulGJohnsonphotography My pleasure and thank you.
Class mono shots, beautifully processed….I’d love to see a bit of your processing on a video
Thanks Howard.
A few spiritual moments and I felt I was with you in heart as well as mind. Wonderful photography Paul, a very enjoyable watch as always friend. Take care and sithee soon.
Thanks buddy
Lovely images Paul, the colour one was nice too.
Thanks so much
Great video mate, I’m not usually a fan on mono but these ones a really good. Maybe it’s the subject of the shots I like , I really don’t know lol the colour one was great too 👍🏻👏
Thanks buddy
Yeah, those rocks are well suited for B&W. :)
Thanks buddy
Always love your videos Paul and this one did not disappoint! I am normally not a fan of mono but you may of changed my mindset on them, good job as always!
Thanks Alan

Brilliant Paul, oh yes kynance one of my best loved places in cornwall, loved the images b&w is my favourite genre in photography
Mine too Jim. However I think its an acquired taste. We are in the minority.
Looked like quite a flat sea day Paul. Still you managed to get good images.
Looking forward to seeing more.
Stay safe 🇦🇺😷
Thanks John . It was a flat sea week :)
Sehr gut, dankeschön. 🇩🇪
Thank you too
Nice one.
Thanks Paul
...but the bag's 10yards that way... 😁. Thanks for another video. How can we get more...
A perilous 10 yards 😂
Perfect conditions for mono, excellent set of images paul
Honoured buddy. Your mono shots are inspirational
@@PaulGJohnsonphotography thank you paul keep your vlogs going
Beautiful photos again, that crescent moon was amazing,
Just wandering if we will ever get to see you up at the Fairy pools in those waders that you purchased off Ebay but never used? 😁😆😅
Hi Graham. I'll have to dust those off. ~Glad you liked the shots.
lovely shots once again paul. i love the slow shuttered water shots have a few myself, but not as good as your ones lol
Hi Paul , thanks for the kind comment.
You should go on holiday more often so we get more videos 😉
Ha I should Oswald :)
Great set of images Paul. Love the mono, something I never seem to get right myself. My colour ones aren't great either!! Lol - Next vlog please! :-)
Ha thanks Alan .
Beautiful set of images Paul, absolutely love mono as you know. Was wondering if you were using split toning then you mentioned it further on in your video. Hope you have a good holiday 👍🏼
Thanks buddy. My favourite genre but no so popular these days.
Paul, may I ask why a two second timer and not a remote or cable release if timing is important?
I should have used it for the wave shot . However it was in my other bag 👍
HI Paul, having a cool moment as being totally honest, mono has never really done alot for me. But, I'm now started to get it & look at it differently which is definitely a bit of a lightbulb moment for me! Yes of course I absolutely love the colour big vista image , it really is incredible. But I equally love the mono ones so much, those wet rocks just make it pop & so atmospheric. :) x
Hi Debbie. Great comment. A lot of people aren't fans of mono, I'm a bit strange that if I had to chooses to shoot colour or mono forever, I would choose the latter. Thanks and glad you liked the shots. x
something ive never really done shot black and white at the coast consdering i live on the coast ive only shot roker pier in mono, gonna give it a go now :)
Top man
Great video and images! Really liked the last image. I took an almost identical one the other day 😎
