Note: use of watercolor paper is critical for creating this effect. I used 90lb 8.5x11 in watercolor paper (any brand - I tried both Hilroy and Canson).

Great Video, Betty you are so talented and I hope we will see more videos in the future because I learn so much from them...BUT I read a comment about the paper....I always say it's the artist not the materials. I have found the paper works perfectly. Personally I'm fed up with complainers. Get a paper that's heavier if you don't like an artists suggestion. I wouldn't presume to tell an artist what to do so why do people think they can make such negative comments online. Again thank you Betty for the time it takes to make these videos. You're the best!! ❤️

WOW is right. Maybe I will give markers a try! I love your artwork. I had no idea you had your own. No wonder you can draw in extra leaves etc. so well on coloring book pages.
I do this with any old Crayola's. They work great and are super bright!

Wow! they seem to stay open for a long time. I was thinking of investing in kuretake clean color , but these are much cheaper and appear to blend better with water. The results are stunning!

I have this but when I use a water brush they don’t blend. Is this a special brush you are using?
Edit: It was the paper, I used the normal one to try but it worked on good quality watercolor paper.😅
Finally can use these, I had them for a two years without knowing how to use them properly.
