I just got diagnosed with keratoconus today and i felt like my life is over, i feel like im going to gradually go blind. I am hopeless, devastated, and more depressed than I've ever been. To know that curry, the greatest shooter of all time has the same condition as I do, and lives with it, gives me a lot of hope and is bringing tears to my eyes right now. Thank you curry.

I have severe keratoconus in both eyes (basically legally blind), had it for many years. I use scleral contact lenses, can wear them all day long with no discomfort and my vision is 20/20. I also ride a motorcycle at night to give you an idea that you'll definitely be okay with your vision.

I've been wearing them since 2013, even after a transplant (once it healed and stabilized). I could not wear RGPs and glasses only worked for a few months. I'd be visually-impaired without them. Get a really good lens fitter as I saw some bad ones who couldn't fit me or correct my vision and took my yearly benefit anyway.

I have the condition. It is mild for me, but it’s noticeable in my left eye. You can slow it down or stop it by wearing glasses, contacts, or eye surgery. It’s not the end of the world to be diagnosed with it, they are constantly updating and advancing the tech for this condition and even finding ways to reverse the damage already done to the eye.

Been fighting it for about 8 or more years. I'm in my 30s. It can get better. Try scleral lenses. Take care of your body and allergies. Try a diet change to reduce inflammation. It will help. Walking alone for 4000 steps or 3000 steps a day will help too. Don't forget about multivitamins especially for things like phosphorus and collagen to help reinforce the strength of your cornea. It won't do a lot but any little helps.

Luckily i only have it in my left eye. Been wearing Scleral Contacts for a while now and they have worked wonders. My left eye still isnt perfect ( im at about 20/60 in my left eye) but my right eye is 20/20 and he said it's about aa good as its going to get in my bad eye

The fit could be off or if you have dry eyes or they fog up, your doc can have them made with a special coating that makes them like butter and more comfortable. I went in to get lasik had my appt early in the morning but they had to run some more tests prior to surgery and concluded that I have keratoconus and that I am not w candidate for lasik. Dr scheduled a 1 year follow up to see if maybe I could get the surgery if my cornea wasn’t deteriorating too fast but unfortunately it was and he told me I will never be able to have lasik. He did mention another surgery that would slow down the deteriorating process of my cornea. Forgot the name though

Overall the surgery was a huge success, I’m very privileged I live in the time period and country I do. i got 3 cornea transplants , i live in a normal country (Canada) so they were free ..i can see a bit better, i tried the lenses (if he is talking about the inflexible ones) and they do let me see better ,but the hassle of putting them and removing them (making sure there is no air using a small suction thingy to put them and remove them while putting a special liquid to remove air....) was just atrosues so i d rather see less clearly with glasses,,,my biggest fear is that my 5 years old kid has it
