Hi Nicki! What a phenomenal audiovisual treasure you got here! Im making a video in spanish about the story of the C-Klasse DTM. Can I use part of this footage giving you credit in the video description? Thanks in advance ^^
This video is such a gem ❤. As a 10 year old kid back in 94, the Promarkt C-Class really caught my eye and heart. Still in love with the W202 after 30 years, such a great era in DTM and in Motorsport indeed. Thank you so much for this, and knowing your dad was the one's that raced the yellow car is just mind-blowing to know. Good times for motorsport👌🏽
This is unfair Nicki. You have taken me down memory road, and it has been wonderful, to the point I have teared up at times. I am old, and in my youth the only contact I had with racing was a one page article in a monthly car magazine. And since the editor had to squeeze in a lot they left out almost all the ugliness, what this 13 year old kid sitting in a corner of the library read transported him into a romantic era. That was over fifty years ago, and my love and passion for all things racing has not diminished. It all started on the lead-up to the Virtual LeMans, after I saw your first DTM video. Princess Charlene of Monaco was making a small speech, and my wife interjected "my mom knew Grace". She explained how her mother was a hat-maker, and Princess grace bought her hats, and also became a close friend. When Grace married, my mother-in-law (now living in Canada) had a gentleman in formal attire present himself at the door one unexpected morning, with a hand engraved invitation to the wedding. So as My thoughts turned to LeMans, I thought of one of my favorite drivers, Teo Fabi. I was more than impressed wit him when I watched him wipe up the field in an IMSA race. He was a VERY good driver, competing in many disciplines. The racing world is a small community, and we do not need six degrees of separation in racing. Someone you know has access to anyone in racing. Two degrees of separation, and this makes the racing world a small and wonderful place. These DTM videos have brought back a powerful wave of emotions, and darn you Nicki, now I am going to cry again.
This production perfectly captures the early electro-mechanical romance of the 90's DTM cars. A short but intensely exciting period in circuit racing which is unlikely to ever be matched, unfortunately.
Waooow!!! 👊Baam...So great year for DTM!!! Opel Calibra V6, nice racer!!! But the Mercedes was really awesome, with the model C-Class, love this C-Claas much!!! 👍✨👀🥇🏆...Danke!!!
