Carey Mulligan is one of those actress where she really deserves to win an Oscar. Please for the love of god, let this be her win! I'm sad that she didn't win for either An Education or Promising Young Woman so this might be her chance to finally win one! Edit : So far, not looking good for her. Sorry Carey, but that doesn't take away how brilliant you were in this movie. You will get that Oscar win, just the matter of time
Carey Mulligan is extraordinary in this film. Just extraordinary. She is a true artist. Her acting in the scene we see at 3:20 made me burst into tears. The maelstrom of conflicting emotions in her eyes floored me. Take a bow, Ms. Mulligan.
I did not care for Carey Mulligan for a long time. She felt so serious to me, and like she took herself so seriously, and that was all I got from her. Then I saw her in Paul Dano's film Wildlife and she won me over. Then, this film. I was completely overwhelmed. Her performance was so magnificent, so human, so vivacious, pure and true and good and respectable ... I loved it, undeniably. Very very very special. I realized what I had been looking for :: A role where she could show joy. And her joy just lit up the screen. It was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a film.
If we're just talking about acting, this movie is just as much Carey Mulligan's as it is Bradley Cooper's. They were so smart to write her character as basically a second protagonist so that more of the weight is on her character's shoulders too. It worked beautifully and both of them are just fantastic.
Well, it’s a different type of biopic. Not a lot having to do with Lenny’s music career, but the movie focuses on the complicated relationship of Lenny and Felicia. Carey Mulligan is fantastic. She even has top billing.
She-Carey Mulligan should receive the acad award -as best actor. She was BRILLIANT. No one can compete with her...performance. It was real, sensitive, and beautiful.
I actually had to laugh a couple times halfway through just how many cigarettes are in this movie. It’s equivalent to F-bombs in Wolf of Wall Street lol
I mean, if the children of Felicia Bernstein even says that Carrie is amazing in portraying their mother, then who are we to say it the opposite! That must have been a big responsibility on Carrie's shoulders, making sure she got their stamp of approval.
I don’t give a damn about awards. It was the extraordinary performance that moved me. The look that she had when the doctor told them what they were going to do to her. My wife died of breast cancer and I know that look. 4:12
Loved the movie a slow burner, but once you get involved with the characters your immersed completely and carried away by the complex relationship of this marriage. Both deserve Oscar’s for their performance 🎭 bravo 👏
Such a shame that all the award campaign was all about Bradley and not Carey which is weird because the movie even feels like a tribute to Felicia..... She made this movie work. I'm a huge Bradley Cooper fan since 2012, he's one of my favourite actor, he just disappears in his roles and he always can surprise me. Carey's movies fell under my radar for a while even though I loved her performances in Education and Never let me go but there was a gap when I haven't seen anything from her then PYW came along and it made me a fan of hers. She totally should have won an Oscar for that performance.....
Carey Mulligan is a genius. She knows how to inhabit a character. Also I feel Bradley Cooper should have won. I can't stop thinking about this film and the performances.
I have really enjoyed your video it really helps me with my recovery from my brain tumor and stroke as I try to get back to my modelling i I mentioned my so you know who is watching and why Thank you 😢
I remember when Bradley Cooper was on Alias. I don’t think he was even a second-string character with his role, and I doubt anybody paid much attention to him back then. Who’d a thunk it that he’d be where he is today?
Saw #Maestro at the Egyptian theatre in Hollywood Calfornia, with a double feature screening of All That Jazz with #Netflix and #American #Cinematheque.
This movie would have been so much more if it focused in on the incredible achievements of Leonard Bernstein instead of his sexual struggles as a bisexual male. I would rather have seen a film depicting some of his greatest accomplishments and process he took to create Westside Story beautiful music. The cinematography and the performances by the cast were all there to create something truly special but instead we saw another version of Broke Back Mountain. At least with that movie it breeched a topic seldom seen on the silver screen. Nowadays we get an endless gauntlet of this kind of subject matter from Hollywood. So disappointing!
She’s not “supposed to be Hispanic”. She grew up in Chile, Spanish was her mother tongue. Her mother was Costa Rican and her father American. She moved to the USA as an adult and spoke English exactly as Cary Mulligan portrayed (and in the film she speaks Spanish twice). Watch Felicia’s performances and you’ll see. There’s some on UA-cam
What a dreadful boring film. If you didnt know as well as being bisexual Bernstein was also a brilliant musician. But of course the movie hardly considers that. The movie is nothing more than gossip, a soap.
Please give this woman an Oscar. Carey is just brilliant in this picture.
When Bernstein's children say Carey acting was exactly like their mother, that's brilliant acting!
Oh my How much pain it must have caused for them watching this 😢😢😢 it’s been a while since I cried this much as I did for this movie….
I don't know how Carey will ever top this performance. She was brilliant.
Oh she will, this is the exciting aspect of CAREY MULLIGAN- made to Act on Stage and Screen. x!
Yesss she will! The way this woman has GROWN as an actor has been beautiful to see.
Here’s to more roles where she can show us what she can do! 🥂
She even topped her performance in Promising young woman and that was one of the finest performance of the decade.....
She will. She’s like Cate Blanchett in a way
She was amazing this and Promising Young Woman her Mount Rushmore of performances
Carey mulligan deserves an Oscar for this performance, some of the most devastating, yet mostly subdued acting I’ve ever seen
Carey Mulligan deliver the most beautiful performance , I ever seen this year ♥️♥️♥️ .

It should have been her movie. The Leonard story line was a disappointment. He could have been a lawyer for all the movie said about his music.
Well, it’s a different type of biopic. Not a lot having to do with Lenny’s music career, but the movie focuses on the complicated relationship of Lenny and Felicia. Carey Mulligan is fantastic. She even has top billing.
@@danielalford4835 It's a "different type of biopic" alright. It's an example of what's wrong with Hollywood right now.
I love how she isn't afraid to take on the toughest roles. I really hope she gets rewarded for them.
She does get paid pretty well
She-Carey Mulligan should receive the acad award -as best actor. She was BRILLIANT. No one can compete with her...performance. It was real, sensitive, and beautiful.
I love Carey! What a wonderful actress! ❤
Carey stole Maestro and deserves a Oscar nomination.
And the Oscar is awarded to... the cigarette, for its remarkable performance in every scene throughout the movie.
@HerveAttia Could it be the cause of the death from
lung cancer of Maestro
bernstein and Felicia ?
I actually had to laugh a couple times halfway through just how many cigarettes are in this movie. It’s equivalent to F-bombs in Wolf of Wall Street lol
But that is historically accurate, unfortunately.
@HerveAttia
You are dam right. The cigarette is in all the scenes. I was sick 😷to watch smoking 🚬 and smoking 🚬 . Maybe she got cancer for smoking.
I wonder how many cigarettes they used along the two hours film,
She's the best part of the movie! Top tier performance!
Wish there was more of Carey Mulligan / Felicia in this movie ✨️

@@herschelhoffmann just reading your comment telling the scene already made me cry. The power of good cinema
@@herschelhoffmann and I’m so sorry for your loss.
Specially the accent😂😂😂
Carey was the highlight of the movie. Even when portraying angst, she’s radiant.
I love Carey Mulligan 👠👠 in Promising Young Woman.
She was AMAAAAAAZZZINGGGGG 🌟🌟🌟✨✨✨!
SHE WAS AMAZING!!!I HOPE SHE WINS THIS TIME!!
Carey Mulligan yeah 🙌
During a South American vacation in 1968, my parents attended a party hosted by Felicia. My mother always remembered Felicia very fondly.
Loved the movie a slow burner, but once you get involved with the characters your immersed completely and carried away by the complex relationship of this marriage.
Both deserve Oscar’s for their performance 🎭 bravo 👏
Carey was amazing. She has my vote!!!!

I want her so bad to win an Oscar for this….!
The performance of Bradley and Corey is awesome 👌👏. They deserve the Oscar. The movie 🎥is ok nothing more.
Yeah, the movie drifted off into tedium. The acting itself was excellent.
I asked my husband to handcuff me during the Oscar ceremony in the event that she doesn’t win for this extraordinary performance.
Carey Mulligan is a genius. She knows how to inhabit a character. Also I feel Bradley Cooper should have won. I can't stop thinking about this film and the performances.
Brilliant casting. Deeply moving experience
Honestly, I feel like Maestro is HER movie. She steals every scene with her brilliance.
Nice to hear and American call Carey a national treasure. She is a beautiful actress.
Carey is GOAT 🐐
I have really enjoyed your video it really helps me with my recovery from my brain tumor and stroke as I try to get back to my modelling i
I mentioned my so you know who is watching and why
Thank you 😢
She steals the show
That's a great film
I really sense she will win an Oscar
Felicia Montealegre from Santiago Chile 🇨🇱 is beauty
I still love him . Even after his death 🖤🌹🖤🌹
She DESERVED the acadamy award. Her performance surpassed all others-------to me, she is the winner.
Carey Mulligan is brilliant! Similar calibre to Jodie Foster! ❤❤❤
She should've won the Oscar!
Sarah Silverman was fantastic! I have seen her before in Film . . . Amazing talent. Good choice for Shirley Bernstein role.
They need to shake it up this year.....Carrie could and should be the dark horse and Wild card at Oscars.
Carey has been robbed before of a Oscar, let's hope this time she isn't
Carey did an amazing job but let me tell you something, why a British actress? Felicia was Latina she was COSTA RICAN🇨🇷
I remember when Bradley Cooper was on Alias. I don’t think he was even a second-string character with his role, and I doubt anybody paid much attention to him back then. Who’d a thunk it that he’d be where he is today?
Jamie, Alexander and Nina bernstein to from Santiago Chile 🇨🇱
3:22 ouch Lady gaga 🤣💀
Saw #Maestro at the Egyptian theatre in Hollywood Calfornia, with a double feature screening of All That Jazz with #Netflix and #American #Cinematheque.

That's it, I'm watching this today. Gonna be sure to get a glass of scotch or wine & something to eat on to enjoy it with.
I really hope you took yourself to the Cinema to see MAESTRO. It is a masterful big Screen experience x!
@@anonamouse.p4115 unfortunately, I cozied up in my living room. I own a projector tho, so it was still a pretty good viewing. And it was fantastic!

Carey Mulligan is amazing. Only she could save a shitty Bradley cooper movie
Is this the great indian actor
" long nose "
I don't understand this movie
What a horrible movie. One of the most interesting people of the century and all they gave us was a movie of gossip.
This movie would have been so much more if it focused in on the incredible achievements of Leonard Bernstein instead of his sexual struggles as a bisexual male. One too miss
Only saving grace for this obvious Oscar baity film.
Why a british portrays a latinoamerican?
Why she doesn't speak her native language? She had a too English accent
Because Felicia more or less sounded/spoke like that, Felicias children told that Carey incredibly portrayed their mother, with so much veracity.
I found this film quite boring sorry
This movie was so awful!! I watched the first hour and literally could not stay awake. One of the worst movies ever !
Who is Carey Mulligan?
Her character was supposed to be Hispanic? They mentioned that she speaks Spanish but she never does, cause the actress doesn't 😠
