in an exciting new first for DSI TV, we were allowed to have our camera's on the prestigious Royal Albert Hall Floor so we could get closer to the action than ever before at these championships. We absolutely love the Professional Ballroom events every time we get the opportunity to film them but seeing them up close in this true auditorium for gladiators is one of our favourite moments. Enjoy this Tango from the 2019 Final.

Is it just me or they are starting to look like wdsf style couples?
Sadly internatinal style tango has become all about barge and charge and has lost its true character and feel which is why this dance has such a profoundly beautiful history and character. and why other that waltz is the most loved and danced partner dance around the world. None of these couples moved me emotionally at all.
Me neither, Joe. You should try REAL tango (Argentine). So much more emotion, but not rough. Soft and much more gentle...
They dance like cyborg machines, all technique-no originallity. Their movements are mechanical, not fluent with the notes, or pauses of the song. They need to move graciously, not violently. Each participant needs to apport their OWN interpretation of this TANGO tune; not to be danced like a MATRIX group, from the same DANDCE SCHOOL. They need to watch videos of the REAL TANGO DANCERS in their "Clubs", to try to upgrade their STYLE. * A high feeling attitude to this music-without an arrogant face. Smile! Only a constructive observation from a person who "pays attention to details..."
You don't know what you're going on about, and you need to do some homework and read about this type of tango. It is deliberately stylized with classical moves such as the sudden whip of the neck, exaggerated poses, swift and smooth gliding. It's not for everybody to appreciate, I know. Argentine tango is livelier and more exciting. But you
