    I've been a master reloader and bullet caster for over 30 years. I don't watch TV, play the radio, or let anyone talk to me while I am doing it. I'm "that" focused when I am doing it and mistakes are costly! You can't possibly be the best with all kinds of distractions going on. I see it all the time with other peoples squibs, KABOOMs, FTF, FTE and various other problems.

    Thanks for the info on the 62gr bullets! I order 1000. I got 1000 from Bob's but they were 55gr. When I worked in the coal mine in 1970's an old man told me "easy on the steady". You could work like a fool for an hour, or you could work steady all day! Great video!

    The older you get the more you need to stay in that "no distraction" zone. The mind does not want to multitask when you get older.

    You used the word cadence which is exactly the correct word. A personal rhythm or step by step process is a certain way to accomplish a task to ensure success. Veering away from a personal cadence can be risky especially when reloading.

    You get in the zone and you just have it together. Everything works and your super focused on loading your rounds. That's why I don't listen to music or talk to anyone. I like to be away from everyone. I turn the music on when I'm cleaning up or casting bullets or powder coating. I usually am able to size my bullets before the next batch comes out of the oven. Happy Safe Shooting 🇺🇸💪.

      Everything that you just said is a perfect example of how people reload. They have all of their nuances. They do the same thing over and over. Music, no music.Sometimes we just want to hear the mechanics of how everything is working how we see things, how you feel things, what everything sounds like. This is how we know everything is working perfectly. Great to hear from you brother. Hope everything is going great for you!👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👊

    Hay Elvis my scale like that started losing its tar. It wood not return to zero off by same amount every time tried new batteries I had ordered it before seeing your video on it ! Works good for for about 10 minutes the have to recalibrate !! Any way I liked it so good I ordered another with 3 years warranty lol !! Hope your still having good luck with yours !! Carry on brother ( :

    • @elvisammo

      Did you order it recently? I’ve not been able find the same one that reads with decibel then single digit (tenths) instead of double digit tenths and 100. It can be distracting. If so send me a link?

    • @elvisammo
      @elvisammo  3 роки тому +3

      That’s actually a good question. Some folks don’t use the cantelure they insist on crimping it elsewhere. They get better accuracy with a different overall length. I believe it’s the place where the bullet designer thinks it should be crimped? May be based on there load data. It may also be a place to crimp the bullet without distorting it. Also it is designed to crimp so that the bullet doesn’t slip out or in. Our semi auto loaders are pretty aggressive. That part should be observed for sure in my opinion. Good question. I may not have fully answered it even. This would probably make for a good video on its own.👍
