In general, Garrett has to defend with at least 55% of his range on the River. - It is just that T9s is really at the very bottom of his distribution; not blocking either of Danny`s AK/AA/KK. A9s instead is probably still a fold, but could be a "maybe", against a bluffy opponent. Having a K as a blocker is "best", though, with KJ likely being a snap, as most of Danny`s bluff range likely consists of Ax hands (and AQ specifically).

Garrett is an awesome poker player, however 95 percent of the time, he is the best at the table, with the exception of Andy and Dylan giving him problems on Hustler. Most of these people at this table has his net worth covered, which makes a difference when playing high stakes. Breakdown was excellent and I enjoy seeing Dnegs and Garrett play.
Great stuff Daniel! 👍 Long time fan. I wanted to express how effective your breakdowns are. You do a great job explaining your thought process citing elements of advanced poker theory which advanced players can appreciate AND you explain those elements clearly enough that even those new-to-the-game can understand! PS: Wish you showed the bluff lol
Even if people are in position on him though, he usually has stacks on stacks to cover them, and plays a different game. This game everyone is deep deep, and it allows actual play against him where he doesn't have 10-15x the chips as he did on the other shows he was doing.
Garrett, about 80% of the time, sniffs out these bluffs. I think Daniel's betting size and aggressiveness convinced him Daniel wasn't bluffing and I think Daniel knew this by betting so big. If he had bet $100-135K, I don't think Garrett would have taken too long to call.
you are hands down the best poker player I have ever seen play the game. been learning from your masterclass and all your free streams here. it is gold, I hope to become like a fraction of how good you are.

This was a good breakdown. What players like about this is who is at the table. The quality of players! IMO, this hand was all about Dnegs realizing Garrett’s range bc of isolating the girl and being in the lead. It would be cool to hear form Garrett, I think by Dnegs betting so much on the river, Garrett knew he couldn’t beat JJ or QQ bc of the 4 bet? The same reason Ivey folded A-Q.
