    Love how Dwan was following the hand and read it like a book. Garret has been having a rough time facing monsters and Daniel knew that. Wouldn’t be so sure Dwan wouldn’t catch the 3 barrel

    • @Badbentham
      @Badbentham 2 роки тому +5

      In general, Garrett has to defend with at least 55% of his range on the River. - It is just that T9s is really at the very bottom of his distribution;
      not blocking either of Danny`s AK/AA/KK. A9s instead is probably still a fold, but could be a "maybe", against a bluffy opponent.
      Having a K as a blocker is "best", though, with KJ likely being a snap, as most of Danny`s bluff range likely consists of Ax hands (and AQ specifically).

    I been a fan of Dnegs since i met him randomly walking in a hallway at Rampart Casino during my first trip to vegas for business in 2004. To watch his amazing evolution and humble approach to the game is inspiring regardless of your profession. I really like G man, think hes a genuine human from all i have seen of him, root for him in all live streams, but I always root for Dnegs. Great content man

    Thank you Daniel. For taking the time to better others. Your thought process allows me to discover realms of the game in which I didn’t know exist.
    Studying and understanding these realms makes me a much better player and the more realms that are unlocked , the more complete I become as a player .
    Thank you 🙏🏼

    Hi Daniel, regards from the Philippines 🇵🇭. Great break down of the hand. Glad you won it. I followed you since you won your first tourney. You’re also one of my favorite poker player. I also lived in Vegas in the late 80’s. Lived mostly in California until 1990 then moved to New Jersey until 2016. Unfortunately I got very sick while vacationing in the Philippines and just decided to stay here. Anyway, I enjoyed watching you played specially on high stakes poker. I loved your bubbly personality. I’m also a hockey fan like you. I always wished you the best of luck in whatever you do. Great video by the way. See you on your next video. Peace🌹

    Ah yes, Master Jedi Negreanu back with another fantastic high stakes break down video! Alongside your breakdown videos, I've been reading your Hold em Wisdom for all Players book, which has been helping me improve my own game. I already enjoy crushing my friends at home, and now I'm starting to go play more cash games at my local poker room. Bluffing and ranges in 3 betting spots are topics that I am currently studying more frequently. Thank you for giving me the confidence and insight on the game of no limit hold em. I hope to get the opportunity to play with you at the Club GG freeroll on May 7th, and perhaps one day in person at WSOP!

    I like the assessment at the end and agree I never saw Daniel in "uncomfortable" situations in the past 20 years (always had the goods, had the opponent mind f'd, or checked for showdown)

    I've always had tendencies (like a lot if us probably) to think I'm a much better player than I am. It's nice to see these videos that are broke down in such a way that theres no doubt I'm not as good as I think. Excellent analysis. I think you do a better job at breaking the hands down and thought process than other pros.

    This was a good breakdown. What players like about this is who is at the table. The quality of players! IMO, this hand was all about Dnegs realizing Garrett’s range bc of isolating the girl and being in the lead.
    It would be cool to hear form Garrett, I think by Dnegs betting so much on the river, Garrett knew he couldn’t beat JJ or QQ bc of the 4 bet? The same reason Ivey folded A-Q.

    I've aleady learned enough just watching you play, but when you break the hands down like this, it comes across as supremely educational without being condescending. Daniel, you're like the Neil DeGrasse Tyson of Poker
