@ProtectionDogsWorldWide came to my house to show me how my German shepherd (Uzi) will protect the family should someone try to break in. Uzi roams free in the newly built house playing with the children, enjoying the garden and eating like a king, but when there's a sign of danger he springs in to protection mode.

We have a 3 year old German Shepherd. She was laid on the sofa next to me when Uzi started barking. I looked at her and….. nothing 🤣 She was well in the land of Nod! After Uzi was barking some more she opened her eyes, looked at me, and pretty much told me to turn it down 🤣
If we ever get burgled, I’ll set the Cat on them 🤣🤣🤣

I've owned German Shepherds all my life, the most incredible, friendly dogs, but also the ultimate protector. Best of luck with Uzi, he's beautiful.

Uzi even realised there was someone coming before the burglar came to window… he is not a joke and wow I have been a dog lover but uzi has made me even loved dogs more😻 what a beast 💪🏿💪🏿

It's good to have a guard dog but to be honest if someone is going to come knowing you have a dog then they will come prepared for the dog.
The dog is one thing, Cameras, Alarms, 24 hour monitoring systems, police panic buttons. The dog is to buy time not to stop every scenario.
I would would train that dog for every possible scenario. So try fire extinguisher attack, gun water etc. Plus the dog should attack the hand or arm that holds the weapon not the other hand. To get a bomb proof dog then it will require so much more training

Would be good to see how he reacts when you are out in the garden with out a lead and someone walks in.
When i took my cane corso for training the one thing the instructor kept repeating and we made clear is release. A dog will bite regardless of training, it's their first/main tool they have. Getting dogs to let go, especially mastiffs (they're far lager than shepherds with much stronger jaws) is imo the key thing i instill daily when at home, from toys to ropes to even food.

Mate people with this sort of training on dogs only a handful & I mean a handful can do it to a super high standard like yian’s phenomenon give the bloke credit he Noe’s his S**T I’d be nervous with a dog that goes from 0-100 quick! One command and he’s off no mercy protection at its best!!

Yianni, Such a warm and loving video - really gave me Goosebumps seeing the bond between you and Uzi and the last photo of the little one, melting my heart! Keep up the amazing work and content, seems like all the hard work has paid off.

@@Y14nny Doubt anyone will. But, a stong bloke who knows what he's doing could overpower it, seen it done. Sometimes even let the dog bite, then lean on it's neck. Bit like what a fella did in the US with a pitbull. Obviously if anyone had a knife etc, then it's pretty much impossible for the dog. But the deterrents (the dog, camera's, alarm etc) make it not worth while for criminals.

In Islam we're allowed to keep dogs as pets if they have a purpose (eg guard dog, seeing eye dog etc) so it's very interesting to see a guard dog in training. I know Uzi is very young (albeit massive) but he seems very obedient

How would you even train without the sleeve? Just straight up teach a dog to go for bare skin from the start? OK then 😭
The hole thing is , doesnt matter if you feed him on lead or not , with stomach twist is always never let your dog do any type of exercises afther eating pretty simple thing , let him rest for a while then let him free again

I literally don’t understand how you think it’s ok to put a dog in a potentially compromising position 😂😂 I’m not an expert at all, you don’t need to be to understand that a dog is being used to protect you, and if the attacker had a knife what the hell is a dog going to do?
Would be really good to see your wife doing some training also out of curiosity do the boys have any training if there's like an emergency not necessarily a break in more like a medical one like if you or your wife was ill??

Well trained dog. Doubt anyone would try and burgle Yianni and the dog will be a deterrent but it's actually not difficult for a strong bloke to pin the dog to the ground and kneel on it's neck. Deterrent probably enough though.
You would be surprised once he has his bite on the pain will be crazy.
@@Y14nny I agree and I definitely wouldn't want to be bitten. The deterrent and the threat of being bitten, plus all the other stuff you have (cameras, alarm etc) make it not much point for a would be burglar.

The people that train these dogs are incredible and obviously the dogs are too. But what happens when the intruder isn’t presenting their arm to be bitten or in fact trying to stop their arms from being bitten? Will the dog just find something to grab?

Lot of people don't realize what's actually gonna happen when someone comes in WITHOUT a sleeve. That's shredded skin, blood everywhere, screaming agony, begging for your life.

Just a general curiosity question yianni but won't Uzi if someone comes and knows the exact command. Will Uzi stop? because he listened to you the first time he met you so won't it be the same for somebody else who uses the command . I'm not saying I know as I don't but was just wondering 🤷

I have a 7 years old German Shepherd. Super chill and friendly dog. Had him trained by an ex-army K9 trainer.
Question : why did the trainer in the balaclava "offer his arm to the dog" when he opened the door and then in the garden? Surely this would not happen in a real life situation?
Better to offer your arm than let the dog decide hed rather go for your leg or…..balls

Looks like the training is going great! My only concern if getting a protection dog would be how the dog would react to friends coming over etc. Is there a command used to let the dog know this person is safe?
