very true in some colonias but its the one thing i miss out in cholul/conkal, use the a/c all day and the electricity was less than $700 pesos for two months!
Coming in the new year, definitely want $500 max. Should we book a month on Airbnb somewhere, and then look around or could we find a place we like sooner
I’m coming to Merida this month, what is required when you rent? Do you usually sign a 6 month lease and pay 1st & last month rent? Are there any other things I should be mindful of?
Everywhere has the potential to flood but Centro has the least issues by far. Most of the money in Merida is concentrated in Centro, and as in the rest of the world where the money is is where the issues are fewest.
Hola! When you meet the realtors are they on time? Have you ever been stood up? Would you suggest having a car/driver when looking at several apartments in a day? Do they ever change the rental price once they see you are not mexican?
Hi Tracy! I've never been stood up, most realtors are on time if not only 5-10 minutes tardy. If you're seeing multiple properties in one day then yes a car and driver would certainly help. I had a rental car during this time. And no, I've never had anyone try to raise the price on me. 😁
@@MoTheTravelingJamaicanlmao, about three years ago they were going for $400-$600, the negroe is so unsophisticated, they blew the spot up and now y’all paying tripple or more
I am older retired. I am getting dizzy trying to watch this. Please sliw the camera way down. And if you mention outside area or a pool, please pause. Like really pause so we can SEE it and be able to take a breath. Good luck. Slow down. Way way down to include STOP for a count to five or ten.
This video is very helpful for those looking to live in Merida! God bless you and I know your channel will blow up, namaste!
Thank you 🙏🏾
hello, how much was first condo? it looked amazing!
it was $24,000 pesos so maybe around $1300 USD or a little more depending on exchange rate
@@MoTheTravelingJamaican dang mexico 😂, it is a nice apartment though
That first spot was nice!! That’s my style.
you bougie like me yah lol
Wow 😲 great place 😊
If you are not somewhat tolerant of the heat, the cost of electricity can easily double that of your rent ,if not triple.

Just buy a big plug in fan
I believe this is really helping people. Me and my children are traveling soon. Maybe we’ll check out Merida. I like the first apartment you showed.
Appreciate you sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Hi sista. Just came across your channel. Just retired, plan on visiting Merida in a few months. New sub.
I haven’t lucked up yet getting something for that amount. I’ll have to keep looking!!
They're out there! good luck

i think its definitely advantageous to book an airbnb first to get a feel of the neighborhoods and to look at the properties before you commit
Thank you for the website info.

I might have to link you when I come back to find a place! I liked Las Americas... very nice community. Great video!!
I’m here for it. Thanks 😊
Sorry about all the comments. Can you share your agents contact? She sounds great
I love these type of videos. Does all or part of Las Americas flood?
I’ve been hearing that you know and I’m very interested to see. But that’s one of the reasons I wouldn’t live in centro, the flooding

I am currently seeking a rental. I seen a rental I think I like. Great content.
Awesome happy to help! Thank you
The rental website you mentioned is it only in Spanish (Vivanuncios)?
Yes but if you use the chrome browser it will translate it for you

anything you see in my videos are probably long gone. FB marketplace or the websites I mention in the video are your best bet
