When I visited Blackpool in 1992 the water was so polluted and the sand was like mud . The national trust must have cleaned up this beach. The sand looks golden now and the water is blue . A job well done .

Wait...can you not fish off the pier anymore? Is that inflatables at the end of the pier? I always liked watching to see what the fishermen are catching from the sea. A trip to Blackpool has to include a walk on the North Pier! Thanks Neil for bringing back fond memories! Love the carousel there too! As you have notice I have a passion for old ornate carousels! Double-decker ones are so cool! The Irish Sea looked exceptionally blue this day! :)

I love the North pier best of all. No hassle from sellers. Very relaxing. Great views. No undesirables hanging around making u feel uncomfortable. Its a place to escape to from to hussle of the town. I do like to go on the central nd south piers but my favourite is north. I'll be on there in just under 2 wks. Staying at the ruskin Hotel for 1 nite then onto the lyndene Mon to Fri. Praying for the sun to stay out too

I’m going to book a few nights in Blackpool soon as it was my mam’s favourite place and she died at the end of March!! I will be there in her memory!
