@@esbek2 Thank-you for that. It seems an awfully small depot - or is it simply 'an awfully small system. Personally I like depots as that's where the 'works cars' tend to 'hide', - unfortunately only coming out at night, - (making photography difficult), and they are usually much earlier trams that have been converted. We have one on our system where they have put an 'open top' bus body on an old chassis and retained it's diesel engine to drive an electric generator so as it can still move - even when the power is turned off. Out of curiosity what is the round item on the river bank opposite that looks like a 'turntable' with 3 'dotted' tracks leading away from it to the road.?
Nordhausen is a small tram system. Behind the river was a narrow gauge railway engine house. In the picture www.google.pl/maps/@51.5036361,10.7809778,282m/data=!3m1!1e3 you can see the trail of the railway.
@@esbek2 Thank-you. Where the old track ran is actually quite clear, - especially the long curve that goes to the 'Standard Gauge' (to the left of the picture). Was it (indirectly connected) with the 'infamous' goings on at Nordhausen during the war, or did it have a more 'peaceful' purpose, their looks to be quite a few tracks that came from that turntable indicating it was a 'busy' little system.
