When i rebuild the engine mine sure have the knocking sound but i let it idle and for like 3 mins it when away and also if changing the clutch plate, dip it in a bowl of engine oil let it soak and before starting it up to make things easier switch off and on the bike like 3 to 5 times to prime the fuel so that it will start easily

After rebuiling an engine please put it for cooling for 2-3 hours in idle condition Do not run the vehicle coz the oil should circulate whole engine and some new parts should seat properly.... That's why the rattle sound is coming!!!
