Thank you my favorite spectator❤
So beautiful!!!!
Thanks!!
a beautiful video!
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
Great song choice, love it👍
Thanks! Yes it's a great song :)
I think people take for granted how great the video quality as improved in the past 10 yrs for a device selling for $1000. 10 yrs ago $1,000 would get you a 1080p Camcorder with a small ass sensor and crap low light performance.
Yes I think people underestimate how much power there is in such a small camera. I'm still often surprised about the kind of shots I'm capable to pull of with this set-up.
Absolutely amazing. Great job 👍🏻
Thanks a lot! 😁

Awesome!
I've been shooting with the A6400 now for a few months and I love the results so far. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! I would love to have the extra benefits of the a6400 like the HLG profile. Have fun shooting with it and looking forward to your videos!
@@KaspervanDijk But you have benefit of in body stabilisation unlike a6400 (which I own)

Thanks! That's awesome
Congratulation on the video. Nice video. The soundtrack is inspiring.
Thanks! Yes the soundtrack is amazing :)
@@KaspervanDijk Yeah! I want to buy this camera. The lenses you used are excellent. But do you think that the 16-55mm could make a shoot as good as the lenses you used or even with a similar result?
Do you mean the 16-50mm or the 18-55mm? Even so, my video is mainly shot at low light. So for these kind of shots it's preferable to use fast lenses with an f/1.8 or better. In perfect lighting conditions you can make good shots with a kit lens, but for conditions like in my video i would recommend a fast prime lens.
@@KaspervanDijk Ok. Thank you for the suggestion. Hugs!
I bought yesterday the Sony A7RII and sony 28mm F2. Your video inspired me.
Looks great 🔥📷
Thanks a lot! 😃
Best vid on youtube showcasin the a6500.. If u would have told me this was shot on an a6500 i wouldnt have believed u lol
Wow thanks! It means a lot :)
I love this!
Thanks a lot!
MovingPixels Your welcome!
i enjoyed watching this video. keep going 👍
Thank you! I'm glad you did :)
The ambiance of Amsterdam in the evening was lovely. I use a6500 too for my video...it was great camera, except the battery life was too short for shooting.
Thank you! Amsterdam is a great city to shoot at night. The battery life is definitely bad. That's why I usually take 3 or 4 batteries with me. 🙈
@@KaspervanDijk yup I have 3 batteries but sometime still not enough. Never shoot Amsterdam at night, will try … hopefully this weekend.
Dear Casper! Absolutely amazing video!
Please tell me in what mode you shot at night and with which iso, and if in manual mode, what is the aperture and shutter speed? Thank you!
Thanks a lot! It's mostly shot at iso 200, sp: 1/50 and between f/1.8 and f/8 depending on the shot. ;)
have a good atmosphere good~*
Great Video :)
Thanks! :)

Wow nice video
Thank you!
Amazing work. Was this manually graded or you have your own luts?
I❤️DAM
Sorry if you've answered this already, but along with cine4 what color mode did you use for this footage?
Awesome. Which picture profile and gamma you used?
great video, keep it up! :)
Thanks! :)
nice video
Thanks!
Good
Super gaaf gedaan.
Awesome shot.Could you share your render settings?
Thanks! It was rendered in the UA-cam 4k preset in Premiere Pro.
Nice video, subbed.
Thanks I appreciate it a lot!
Mooie shots! Uit de hand gefilmd?
Dank je wel! Ja alles is handheld
Love it! Any guidance on how you graded the color? It has a very rich color look that I love. Any advice or luts?
Thanks a lot! I often use Osiris luts. For me color grading is more about making subtle changes and adjustments. I think properly exposed images and searching for beautiful light is much more important.
I agree completely. Did you use anything here as a starting point or it's just hand grading some small adjustment? I think I saw a comment it was in Cine4 so it was flatter to start in that case.
I first correct the footage so the colors and exposure are balanced. After the color correction I used osiris luts and made some minor adjustments depending on the footage.
Nice video! If you suggest one single lens to use in every situation, what would it be? I mean, one lens that can do a good job in low light, to have a pretty good zoom... that i can use in every day situations. thanks!
The lens that I use the most is the Sony 18-105 f/4.0 because of it's range and as long as you shoot in decent lit environments you will be fine since you can crank up the ISO to about 1600 or 3200 without degrading the footage too much. If you want some more flexibility in low light and you like shooting wide, the Sigma 16mm 1.4 is amazing. For portraits I really like the sony 35mm 1.8. But I have to say there is no perfect lens for every situation, so it really depends on your needs.
wow that's really good, would you recommend the sony a6500? I'm not sure which one to buy, and I want to do photo/video
Thanks! It depends on your needs. I love the image quality, but the downsides are battery life, rolling shutter and a dimmed screen while shooting video. I don't use it for photography so I can't say much about that.
I just got one myself as I'm super impressed! Haven't tried 4k though yet
Great video bro.
What is the lens that you use in this video?
Great works!!!
Can I ask you? Did you use gimbal?
Thanks! No, it's all handheld.
nice video~:D
Thanks! :)
Cool video, do you think amsterdam is worth to travel to in terms of filming a travel movie there? With like a week of filming
Thanks! It definitely is a beautiful city with an interesting history and iconic architecture. It is not a huge city so you can probably make a travel video in a few days. But it really depends on what kind of city you are looking.
Great video! Is rolling shutter really an issue?
Thanks! It's an issue when you have big movement in your shot. Often it's fixable in premiere pro, but in general rolling shutter is one of the weakest points of this camera.
Beautiful images! Congratulations! What lens and setting do you use? I have a Sony a6600 and a Sigma 16mm f1.4 lens. As I am starting now, and, for admiring your productions, I would like to ask for some tips. Success!
Thanks a lot! 35mm f1.8 oss I use most of the time to get a cinematic look. Since it's good for portraits and semi wide shots. For traveling I use the 18-105mm f4 most of the time for it's versatility.
I always shoot in cine4. Since I find Slog2 too flat for an 8bit codec. Cine4 is the best compromis for me. Although on a Sony a6600 I would use HLG3. Too bad I don't have it. 😅
@@KaspervanDijk I thank you! I hope you can have the sony a6600 soon. Success!
@@KaspervanDijk Mooie video Kasper.
Thanks!
You have captured amazing imagery out of the a6500. What was your ISO for the night scenes?
thanks a lot! iso 200
ua-cam.com/video/R8uasOvh7dg/v-deo.html
This is my cinematic video from Amsterdam! I'd love to give me feedback
Cool video! Which is frame rate and iso used? And what about color grading?
Thanks! I used 24fps and ISO 200 (mostly). Color graded with Lumetri color in Premiere Pro.
The quality is so nice with the a6500 in your im looking to upgraded to the a6300 do you think it would be better to save up and buy the a6500 or stick with the a6300?
Thanks! I think the image quality is pretty much the same. But since the Sony a6500 has image stabilization I chose it over the Sony a6300. So if you like shooting handheld, I would pick the a6500.
MovingPixels thank you didn’t know the a6500 had the stabilization I’ll save up for sure then!
Hola! Yo lo llamaría una secuencia cinematográfica.
I can only get 1 lens. What’s the best all rounder from your list for video and photos
The 35mm 1.8 is my favorite from this list. It's the best compromise for me since it's not too wide or too tight and it has optical stabilization. If you want to get wider the 16mm 1.4 is great, but it has some barrel distortion and no oss.
4k 24fps.. What was the shutter speed? 1/50?
What settings do you have Picture Profile?
Was trying to find noise on a 55 inch tv, and I couldn't :)
Hey. What settings (colour profile) are you using? Amazing
Thanks! It's completely shot on Cine4
What configuration using? My lens is a 18-105 of sony and i need the configuration for record night... mmm i have a f4.0 but the iso? And light? 1/40 , 1/50?
Hello I have 6500 and Sony 35 + Sigma 30 + Sigma 16. How I make video like your great video
You have some great gear. It's a very general question. The most important thing is to make videos that you love to make. If you really want to learn filmmaking I can highly recommend following "Unscripted Studio", which is an online film school by Brandon Li. Just learn the basics and keep practicing and do what you love to do.
@@KaspervanDijk PP8 Cine4 24fps 1/50 ISO 200 All right? Thank you
@@ThangPhamArchitect In general, yes!
🙏🏾🙏🏾
I usually export in 4k with a bitrate around 35 or 40 mb per second.
do you recall what microphone you used in the video? was it the built-in one or external?
all built in mic
This is nice what were your pp settings
I used pp8 Cine4
@@KaspervanDijk cine4 / cine did you leave the rest factory
Yes the rest is factory.
Thinking about getting this camera.. how difficult do you think it is to get adjusted to this camera coming from a canon?
I never owned a Canon. My previous camera was a Nikon and I adjusted to it very quickly. The auto-focus is very usable in many occasions, Image stabilization is pretty decent and there is even a third-party EOSHD picture profile, but I never used it. You do have to consider that the battery life is quite poor and the screen is dimmed when shooting in 4K (hard to see in sunlight).
MovingPixels thanks for the response
What lut and camera settings (picture profile)? Tnx
I used Cine4 as picture profile and graded it with Filmconvert.
Kasper van Dijk we’re beautiful! Can you have screenshot with setting? aezhov777@gmail.com
Thanks! I'm not home now. I will send you later.
Kasper van Dijk ❤️
I don't have the project file anymore. So I don't know the exact settings of Filmconvert I used.
What did you use to colour this ?
Hello, i have a sony a6000 and want to buy a new lens. What da you think would be better: a 30mm 1.4 or a 50mm 1.8? Because 30mm in apsc is 50mm in fullframe, isn't it?
Greets
I think a 30mm 1.4 would be more versatile. It really depends on your needs. Personally I would pick the 30mm 1.4 since it has more range and it's better in low light. APS-C has a crop factor of 1.5, so a 30mm lens would be the equivalent of a 45mm lens on full frame.
What SD card do you use to record at 4k?
I use SanDisk Extreme SDXC 128GB 90MB/s V30.
wth, you know what, im going to get this camera over a7ii
Have fun with it! I'm still enjoying it a lot after 1,5 years :)
What software do you edit and upload with? I have the 16500 and shoot 4k but when I watch it on my mac the image is kinda fuzy, any suggestions?
I use Premiere Pro on a windows pc. It should look great on a mac too though.
slog2?
cine4
Which one of these 3 lens have best low light?
Sigma 16mm f1.4. Since it has the widest aperture.
