  • This crucial webinar aims to empower North American businesses to understand and navigate the European Union's mandatory sustainability reporting standards and the IFRS climate standard.
In the evolving landscape of global sustainability reporting, the introduction of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) represents a significant shift - the rules will not only affect companies within the European Union but also have far-reaching implications for North American stakeholders. At the same time, countries covering nearly 55% of global GDP are set to make ISSB’s standards mandatory.
This webinar aims to guide companies through these implications, on the back of the recently published joint interoperability guidance by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and EFRAG, the European standard-setter.
With global mandatory climate disclosure legislation on the rise around the world, CDP has launched a new questionnaire that is aligned with the ISSB climate standard (IFRS S2) and strongly aligned with the SEC’s new climate disclosure rule. Through official partnerships with EFRAG, CDP is expanding its alignment with the ESRS. A record 75,000 companies - including more than 18,000 headquartered in the US - were requested to disclose this year through CDP.
