Mage main here and I can assure you Frost is killing it right now on live and in beta. Once Sunfury Arcane ST gets nerfed, it for sure will, Frost will be our top in raid and M+. I am an arcane diehard so will still be repping but Frost is tempting given that it is insanely powerful, has the best barrier of all mages, and has crazy control. Fire on the otherhand is horrific. On live I sim 131k less in ST as fire than I do as Arcane or Frost and on beta fire is doing less than tanks in raid. Blizz rebuilt our entire identity around Lit Fuse and Bomb then obliterated both of those to irrelevancy with minor ST compensation. It's a tier below F tier because even F tier still has something to offer a group.
He keeps making tier lists knowing they will mean nothing in a week when everything gets re-tuned for the 10th time because he wants the sponsorship money
If you're out in the world and don't do dungeons/raids then here's a list for you: Affliction Warlock (all warlock specs) are great when out in the world; BM Hunter (easy to learn and you can swap out pets for different encounters; Mages (all specs but practice at the training dummies to get your casts down and your buttons in the right place); Elemental Shaman. For melee: Warriors, DK, and Paladins. These classes and specs are pretty easy to run around using. I like Feral Druid but I don't know what's going to happen to it for War Within but I will give it a try.
Fire mage started out looking pretty good then they gave living bomb a 75% damage nerf just before everything was about to go live, then nerfed everything else about it. So yeah keep in F (Fail) tier. Honestly it's what's making me hang up my mage, or at least heavily consider it. Yes Arcane and Frost are really good, but they're always really good, and I want to blow shit up! So yeah leaning towards shelving the mage.

Sad that druid is still so low on these tier lists. I don’t play it but man I love their tier set this season and I want to grab it but if balance isn’t fun idk what to play. I guess I’m fine with bm being so low. I’ll play it but I’m used to it being middle of the pack. Yeah I agree with people that augmentation shouldn’t even be in the game because of how it’s constantly meta and even with so many nerfs it’s still being taken. But since they released it it’s probably the only way I want to play evoker so I don’t actually want them to remove it.

@BancheeWoW I really wish they'd take some utility from other classes and spread it around. It's weird mages are supposed to be the squishy caster but have both an immune and a group shield. I feel like they could have had warlocks sacrifice a demon to shield the group since they're supposed to be tankier

Sorry but seeing Affliction at A with almost NONE of its utility mentioned, like skipping packs and cheesing mechanics with gates, while putting battle rez as a negative had me stop right as War Thunder was getting shilled. How did Affliction (hell any of the specs) get completely ignored on what they bring with high survivability, an interrupt, a near instant AoE stun on a one minute stun, HEALTHSTONES, horrify, AoE Exhaust from Vile Taint, and still offer high damage output for both ST and trash (not for Destro). Are we playing the same game, do you not know how much a warlock can bring to Mythic+, or was far more research needed before hitting publish?
Okay lets get it clear - other specs bring a BUFF, they bring funnel dmg, they bring dispells, offheal, more stops, shorter cds on kicks, etc. Battlerezz is almost no-utility bc of engi and other classes that can rezz way quicker, healthstone dont get used by players a lot and is not preemptive def in order to prepare for big Hits (like mass barriere), Gates are super niche and get outclassed by MS from sp / shroud / nelf skips, curses are gcd based and are not applied aoe wise, their aoe stop is casted so not really that reliable, horrify is not utility more QoL, their dmg profile is usually stupid pad aoe dmg not funnel dmg, they are usually locked into felhunter (so no imp magic dispells Support), and so on Unless blizz decides to finally give this class some m+ utility it really has to outdmg any other dps class by a loooong shot in order to get invited into high keys.
@13:48 You should probably rate specs based on how they are now, and not what you predict Blizzard will change them too. Blizzard has a track record of not fixing 'wrong things' before the release of a new xpac.
Question - Off topic - Why aren't we hearing about the new race Earthen? Usually there's more info and hype for a new race coming for both Horde and Alliance. I looked back at y'alls previous videos and don't see anything about the Earthen.... guess there's no interesting racials or whatever about them?

9:59 sorry but you talk about BM the reality is that BM is not above average most of the time. It has less then 50% of time above average. And the whole second most played spec thing for BM that you can blame blizzard for as we are coming out of an expansion where BM has been top hunter dps every single patch of the expansion. (of the ranged specs) so hunter as a class is played a lot but thanks to MM being worse then bm for the entire dragonflight expansion everyone moved over to BM)

It’s not a healer at all, other than the healing it does via buffing the healer. Aspect’s favor talent was killed off (thankfully), you don’t really have much utility that dev and pres don’t have. Nobody’s gonna take you seriously as an aug, so have fun with that

I feel like elemental shaman is really more B tier then A tbh. mainly because even after the massive changes they got, one thing blizzard didn't completely address is the survivability. survival is a big thing to add when ranking them and if you do ele goes down A rank or 2.
@@flexterex6915 yes one of them is on 3min CD that's only good the moment you put it down ( I believe it's 40% absorb shield ) the rest of the duration ( 30 seconds ) give a small shield that doesn't help like at all. The other small changes didn't exactly help.

Tier lists pop off big time going into a new expansion because players don't know what to main yet, and a lot of new people come into the game wondering what they should play, or returning players. Nobody wants to be stuck with the bottom tier class. It has nothing to do with the UA-camrs themselves but the WoW community which fosters a culture where the worst specs end up having an extreme difficulty finding groups outside of maybe their friends, if you're lucky enough to have friends to play with.

Mage hasn’t been mandatory except maybe season 2 was it? But that was just because it did alot of dmg not because your group has extra defensives
