Wow! Can't believe I've never heard of Toss Panos til now. Was binge watching videos in tribute to the late great John Goodsall r.i.p. and ended up here. What a drummer and Spectacular playing by all. Sound engineer deserves nobel peace prize for audio. Superb.
Man! I saw Toss play live at the Blues fest in Portland in the early 2000s.. he's never left my memory. Saw this thumbnail and said "IS THAT TOSS behind ROBBEN!?!?"
One can only dream of a night like this. The feeling is well beyond anything most mortals will experience. Toss and Travis are the most groovy thythm section anybody could ask for. And scripted solid arrangement allowing Robben to venture beyond the lines. Its possibly the best example of true musicianship captured.
Robben Ford at his best. The musicianship during this cut is fantastic. Wonderful to hear such talent in one place among three suberb artists. Get the DVD.
it's probably the 100th time I've watched this clip... but I can't get enough. In this 3 men, there's all you need to figure out what's the music is... I've never seen another trio like that... Robben is an Alien, Vinnie is a killer, and and bass guy, I don't know his name, but he's definitely into the pocket. Really, I can't say more than "I'm totally satisfied."
Robben Ford is such a creative guitarist. His style is unique and impressive, his use of harmony and voicings, his melodies have such an influence on me. God bless him.
For anyone interested in the original version of this song by Little Walter, it can be found under it's name "You Gonna Be Sorry (someday baby)". Of course Robben is doing his own cool treatment of the song here....much different from the original.
That drummer was killing that stuff man he was wearing it out he took the strap to it
Robben probably one of the most underated guitar players ever

incredible player.
Best Robben Ford ever!!!!
I listen to this album all the time and this track is one of the best on it... Toss and Travis are amazing musicians

The way Rooben blends in at the end of the bass solo is awesome and the way he extends the tone to let Travis get credit for the solo is just great
underrated
The rhythm boys are rippin too

On my top 5 favorite guitarists of all time. I can't get enough of Robben Ford. Met him before a Vegas show one time. Awesome guy too!
Greatest jazz/blues player in history.

The best trio for Robben

3 people don't like this. I wonder what they like...hard to hear this and not appreciate it. Real great music!
They probably thought those licks were "out of tune" for blues. They got candy ears from a Bonomassa show.
cookin....!
My brother snd I saw him in Az a fdwnyears ago. Too bad Toss wasn't with him. It was totally awesome show!!
Fender to Gibson in one song. Toss & Travis are absolutely sublime players and bring out the best in Robben in my humble opinion.
Great drumming.
As good as it gets, Robben Ford is "Pure" Gold!
A masterwork. And good gawd the sparkle and chime of that dumble with both guitars but that tele is just astounding. Oh yeah the 335 too.
Beautiful music toss panos!!!
Perfection
Bass is holding that pocket down tight…whole band blended together great 🔥
All bow to Lord Robben!
Hi there just love your drum solo...cheers to the group
Great performance! Love how Robben installs that Jean Pierre melody in there :-))
best trio on the planet
Rush?
Great -- but his Blue Line Trio may have been the one -- w Roscoe Beck on bass and Tom Brechtlein on drums
Don't git no better 'an this!
This session is just a classic...how much we can learn!
Holy crap Toss!!!!
That was unbelievable
So good!
What a trio they are so tight. 5:21 after Travis' solo RF stretch the tone so Travis gets his credit from the audience thats so cool
That was the coolest bass solo I've ever heard.
God, that guitar tone !!! :-) ♪♫ TASTY!!!
One of his great performances
I met this cat in 1981 at Donte's in L.A. like always throwing his best out !
love this song and the instrumentos interacción ! dedicated to all my ex girlfriends 😂
Will all right you boys got me on that one sure enough
Fantastico toss
Solo time! I love a good tight trio.
muita classe timbre lindo banda foda
great
Joyful experience
Beautiful! Many thanks.
how the sun rises when the 335 sounds with the Dumble.
Uau!!!!
If only Jimi could have had this rhythm section and recording and mixing engineers.
For anyone interested in the original version of this song by Little Walter, it can be found under it's name "You Gonna Be Sorry (someday baby)". Of course Robben is doing his own cool treatment of the song here....much different from the original.
Yup all the way hot !!!
I would have loved to hear an Hammond organ with them.
Jean-Pierre is everywhere in this 🥲
Anyone apt to provide those subtle chords during verse and chorus? Thanks so much.
Take some work. Robben is also dropping substitutions on the fly.
He likes chord subs to keep harmony moving. Moves altered chords on chorus and turnarounds up an octave for more jazz blues tension.
The chorus bit is - Gm, Em, BbMaj7, Bm11, C11, Em, F/Eb. The verse seems to be just Dm and F.
@@mqblues Thanks a lot, mate
Who's on Bass and drums?
Bass player is Larry Carltons son Travis.

@@MrSembastian seriously
Changes guitars in the middle when nobody's looking. Sneaky.
He may have broken a string on the Tele
Three dislikes? Must be tone deaf people.
