Popped back to Stainton to check out the Canal restoration going on there and see whats been done since my last visit in August last year....Looks like the frost has lifted some of the stones in the canal....looking good though...
Cant wait till they open the northern reaches up and this stretch...

When We Walked This Section Last Year We Got Chatting To the Fella Putting The stone Blocks In The Base....He Didnt See Much More Being Done Before Hincaster Tunnel ...Bu tBe Great To See More Done It Looked The Weirdest Thing All The Blocks Led Down ..Smart Though ...Great Footage As Usual steven ...
Yeah it's not grown but more stones down. It stops just under the bridge and that's it by the looks of it sadly.
Lovely video as always and nice to see the progress. Do you know if there has been any progress to re-open the section alongside the M6 at Tewitfield?
I recorded the canal from tewitfield onwards last year and parts looked like they had been cleaned out a bit but a long way off opening up. Maybe when weather gets better I'll get up there again but can't fly that section due to the motorway along side it.
