Ah yeah. The MAGNIFICENT Buddy Gask
Really enjoyed this. Showaddywaddy were so much more than their numerous chart hits
RESPECT
Brilliant song by a superb group with 2 top singers. Great live, but not the same with new line up. RIP Buddy
GRH Buddy Gask We Will Always Remember You 💯Keep Rockin Folks 🌅
What a brilliant cover of one of the best songs of the sixties Johny Remember Me
Sang by John Leyton
Great voice gone 2 soon 💙💙
R.I.P My Buddy Gask..THE lead singer with Showaddywaddy, Dave Bertram was a good singer BUT nothing compared to Buddy.
Absolutely love Buddy but Dave had the looks and charisma that made them stand out to the generation at the time!
yes both great singers, Dave had a great voice overall but always thought Buddy was more rock 'n' roll.
Buddy and the duke made the band 👍
Showaddywaddy lost without buddy
Love this. sung by my 2 favorite's of the band Dave and Buddy went to see them live in the 70s wonderful stage show RIP Buddy
What A Pure Proper Version 👍🍀😎🍀👍❤️
Fabulous group - very underrated - had to be seen live
No thanks. Shit group.
Dave’s voice good
Although loved Dave singing have to say loved buddy. What a voice which should have gone further
Dave ❤
Johnny Leyton!
I've so many of their albalms vinal and i still listen to them today they as so many groups are timeless i once played the album red star to a basically bunch of kids in 1992 they loved the music but couldn't beleive that it was show waddy waddy 😊😂
Horrible version. The main singers vocals sound like he's doing a comedy rock and roll singer, like Freddie Star.
Dust off these old tape recorders and get this on tape !!!
Dave and buddy just complimented them both
As a pair of rubbish performers.
Best thing is Dave did not seem to have a problem
Buddy’s voice just sends chivers
BUDDY GASK RIP Never to be forgotten
I forgot him - thankfully.
Превосходное шоу. Интереснейшая песня. Предполагаю, что лидер российского бэнда "Ногу Свело" скопировал этот стиль исполнения.
Dave brilliant at start and then the buddy we’ll say no more
Saw them live back in the 80's, Fernham Hall, Fareham. excellent group!
August 3rd 2023 Great Song
Great 👍
One of my faves
What a singer buddy was
Dave brill along side buddy
Just love this
What vocals
Wow how old is this song?
It was a hit for John Leyton in 1961, got to no.1. I saw Showaddywaddy live in Fareham, late 80's and the lead singer was wearing an eye patch, because he'd had eye surgery.
Approximately 40 years
@@toucan221 Over 60 years.
My mom loved this group and I can see why
A good song, but destroyed here by what has always been a terrible group with appeal to only those lacking musical taste.
Prefer original
Definitely
Prefer Bronski Beat
I liked a lot of showaddywaddy but that was awful sorry buddy and all honestly dave bartram so loved himself . Loved to pos. Buddy definitely made that band r.i.p
Why did they turn down Sugar Baby Love ? Really why? They couldn't do the song like DaVinci that's why. But they still would have been better than The Rubettes, especially Alan Williams.
Rubbish version.
English rip-off of Sha Na Na. They're ok but need to sing their British muslc. Sha Na Na did tour England and most European countries to sold out venues. Johnny Contardo's voice is far superior to anything as far as high notes that this group ever did. Too bad Sha Na Na never did Sugar Baby Love. Only Paul DaVinci has a higher vocal range than Johnny. But Sha Sha Sha Na Na only did American music. I do admit this version of Johnny- Remember Me is good. But the original no. 1 in the UK from the 60s is better. It never was played in the US. I found it by accident.
Never Hurd of them you are watching class with buddy Gask
@@andyfrary5492 Sha Na Na toured England in 69- 70 then had Their own TV show. They are better than any of these wannabes. Pull them up on U Tube. The Waddy was ok doing British music but should have stayed out of American music. If they were so good, why did they turn down Sugar Baby Love? They couldn't match Paul DaVinci's high notes. That's why. They did a so-so version of Eddie Cochran's 3 Steps To Heaven, but Eddie's version was number one in 1960 when he was killed in the UK. Waddy should have left Eddie's classic alone. Sha Na Na is on U Tube. If you want to hear superior quality, check them out. Johnny Contardo's high notes would blow them away. In 69 and 70, Sha Na Na played all over Europe to packed crowds. Sha Na Na's Remember Then, I Wonder Why, Crying and Papa Ooh Mow Mow are good clips to look at as far as Sha Na Na.
Much prefer SWW!
WTF you talkin' bout Willis?
Worse than terrible.
Arsed
way off a patch on Johnny Leyton's original.
