    That was really interesting. I guess these days before you run up on an accident and see if everybody's okay. You better check and see what kind of car it is because those things go off without notice or anything. So you really got to be careful and you got to know what you're doing. It's good for you guys to know all this stuff training. That's what it takes. Really interesting. Thank you very much. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦

    Appreciate the video. 2 thought on storage is one bury in sand another have the electric vehicle companies design a sealed storage container. They are kinda giving us no options.

      They've sold about 6 million Teslas. A bit over 200 have caught fire, almost all from accidents. It can happen but it's not particularly likely.
      There are 180k vehicle fires per year in the US.
      The problem with Tesla is that the fires are hard to put out, but they aren't likely.

    • @SumterWrecker
      @SumterWrecker  7 місяців тому

      Mr John Yes sir. Case studies also show some fires can take up to 28000 gallons of water. Thanks for watching and stay safe

    The factory tow points sure sound worthless if it has a use limit. And a weight limit. I would prefer it be capable to handle weight 5x the car weight. Especially if used to pull vehicle from mud to keep vehicle in operating condition. When I pull a vehicle on a trailer, I hook to frame only. Vehicles hauled were for my friends.

    With a car looking like that your really gonna use those straps it's not like your gonna hurt it anymore more than it is with big js but I get it your training for something intact like that you would have to walk your truck back to the rear wheel only need skates the front wheels roll once there spray wd40 on the bed to take away the friction so it will slide rear wheel and those skates don't work on dirt

    • @SumterWrecker
      @SumterWrecker  7 місяців тому

    Only matter of time people burnt alive in these cars that self combust for no reason in the street , escaping one with flames coming from the sides were need to get out not good.
    What about if the car has power in the batteries & decides to combusts while on the truck/in tow on dollies ?
    What if recovery of the EV off the road in a area has rocks / stimps etc etc can damage batteries underneith cause a self combust ? Then there a potential of wild fire.

    Once on the Truck, I'd rig up a reverse winch with a quick release in the event the Car would start on Fire You can pull it off in a hurry...
    I wonder when the US Tow market is gonna adopt Rollbacks with Cranes on them for picking up small cars ?
    They are common Place in Europe.

    Interesting video. I had considered the electrical hazards resulting from working on them, but not damage from accidents. It's almost as though you need a plan for getting it off your roll back quickly if it catches fire! Additionally, since the roll back is metal, the moment it gets on the roll back is critical, since the metal surface could complete a circuit that wasn't complete while it's setting on the ground! Oh, and if the car has been doused with water, you must consider the hazard of standing in that water and getting shocked......

      I’m afraid the future is already here, LOL they don’t hold a charge in the cold weather, they won’t charge fully, or even at all sometimes in the very cold weather, and the heaters don’t work worth a darn in😮 the cold weather up here at least. I’ve been thinking about developing a conversion kit for them to gas engines, should be an overnight success! LOL 😂

    I thought there was a disconnect to pull like they have on the racing cars with high voltage batteries. Tow yards are installing concrete bunkers to put electric vehicles in to prevent any fire from spreading.
