I was actually lost at the beach when I was around seven years old. My Mum, my brother, and I were in Hawaii, and I think we were at Hanauma Bay on O'ahu. My Mum was taking me and my brother out snorkeling one at a time. I don't even remember why I left the beach towels, anymore, but I couldn't find my Mum or the way back to the beach towels. My Mum found me half an hour to an hour later. She was so upset with me. I felt even worse, because she'd lost her waterproof wallet while looking for me. She had to cancel her credit/debit card(s?).

These amazing people have loads of patience. All foreigners needing saving, approximately 50% are ungrateful and believe it's owed to them. They have no idea haw many lives are saved because people make bad life choices. Hats off to these Aussie Angels.
I got lost before at a beach and it was horrible but funny because I didn't even realize my mom was in front of me because so much random people looked liked her lol🤣
But how could the parents just leave her by herself all because they wanna go for a walk like hello!! Never ever leave you're child unattended no matter what cause worst things can happen.
Lilly, I think you need to open your mind and soften your heart! Not all kids are capable of communicating, and sometimes the parents aren't either. That would be like being mad at the lifeguards for not being multilingual!! Maybe THEY should learn to communicate! See? In this world you train your kids NOT to talk to strangers! To avoid them etc. That little boy that threw sand, that's for his own safety! I have a deaf daughter!!! There are autistic children that can't communicate! Accidents happen, we all just need to stand together and watch out for one another, and especially the children!
Yes, I was taught since I could speak to say "police" "Im lost", my address, my city, my oarents names & was instructed to stay put in the place where I got lost, that way they coud trace back thwir steps & find me....(& of course never ever go anywhere with someone who was not a cop. Nowadays I wouldnt go anywhere near a cop lol) Also I am spanish, knowing how to say those basic things in english is vital, it is the language of the world.
@@amandastakeonit7402 i don't think she was mad in her comment. Of course there are exceptions (like your child). But lets face it, a kid not knowing how to say "lost" "mom" "help" is usually not the kid's inability to do so, it is the parents not teaching basic skills. And of course we all teach kids to not trust strangers butyou also need to teach them to trust the police (and lifeguards to a kid probably look very similar). Its not about being multilingual but teaxhing 3 words in english is really not that hard. Wether we like it or not some parents are simply not good enough at their job as parwnts & that is just reality.
Speaking on the "abducted baby " I'm sorry but something tells me that mum" got a rude awakening, not paying attention to her child. And a good samaritan did it for u. That lady was swinging the baby around after she almost lost it. Shes barely 2!
Oh, it really got me when that poor man asked if a body would sink or float....a welled up, how do you answer a question like that with such a distraught father?
Some of these parents need to chill out. You have to calm down or you’re going to accomplish nothing and yes I do speak from experience. There’s plenty of time to freak out and scream and cry later but you have to keep your head on and keep calm and search for them.
I saw in another video that the little boy Harries looked after was repeating the word "telephone " over and over. He'd obviously been taught that if he gets lost, to call his parents. Poor little guy.
@@artiemiss1724 yeah but the likelyhood of that happening is slim so it would be convenient and helpful to the lifeguards to have it onhand in those cases
I have found that google translate is great for emergency situations. It’s not perfect BUT it can get basic information across! Edit: keep your little ones close and have a plan if separated especially if in another country!
I watch my children like hawks. When I was seven I found the body of my friend at a lake school trip. I will never forget it, and my daughters always thought I was too overbearing about how far they went out, etc. I lost a friend, didn't want to lose a child.
A child wanderes off to the beach on his own because mum is having a ' sleep ', right, my ex used to pull that stuff, luckily this child was ok thanks to the life guards, but luck will only get you so far.
@@lyvsix Thanks, I got him this dog tag thing like soldiers wear with my name & number on it, next time he wandered off the police at least had my contact details & had a word with her when she had to pick him up from the station. He is over 18 now & has no contact with her but has gone back to school & is doing well, but things did not need to go to that level, our children deserve better.
I was lost once in the grocery store I ran up to the wrong woman because she had the same hair as my mom, then my mom called me I got lucky, but my parents taught me well, I would’ve gone up to a worker if all else failed I knew the home adresses by heart, and my moms phone number, I think all parents should teach their kids that before taking them anywhere they could possibly get lost.

These amazing people have loads of patience. All foreigners needing saving, approximately 50% are ungrateful and believe it's owed to them. They have no idea haw many lives are saved because people make bad life choices. Hats off to these Aussie Angels.
Is it though? I watch 10 episodes and saw maybe 2 guys that were not tanking the guards.....Where did you get those 50%, you cartoon character?
Be careful not to stereotype and throw convenient statistics around to suit your narrative.
@@gracecaron773 what narrative?
Was pointing out the obvious offensive to you? Are you offended by other people have realistic observations???
I got lost before at a beach and it was horrible but funny because I didn't even realize my mom was in front of me because so much random people looked liked her lol🤣
But how could the parents just leave her by herself all because they wanna go for a walk like hello!! Never ever leave you're child unattended no matter what cause worst things can happen.
People need to TRAIN THEIR KIDS TO COMMUNICATE if they get into trouble...
Not all kids are able to, espically if they are tourists not speaking English or have a disability
@@elijahlee6401 well said 👏 🥰
Lilly, I think you need to open your mind and soften your heart!
Nowadays I wouldnt go anywhere near a cop lol)
Also I am spanish, knowing how to say those basic things in english is vital, it is the language of the world.
The sweet girl taking care of little beatrice; what a hero
Speaking on the
"abducted baby "
I'm sorry but something tells me that mum" got a rude awakening, not paying attention to her child. And a good samaritan did it for u. That lady was swinging the baby around after she almost lost it. Shes barely 2!
27:46 I was crying with the little girl I couldn’t watch her crying
I was lost at a beach and I was asleep, luckily I had a life jacket on so I couldn’t drown but I fell asleep while swimming and it was very windy
That is scary to even think
how does one fall asleep whilst swimming?!
@@Geronimo7-7-7 to be honest I was pretending too but then I actually ended up sleeping
Very lucky to have that life jacket! Your parents must have been super worried. Glad you were reunited safely 💙
@@BondiRescue thank you! me and my little brother and sister love to watch your videos!
Oh, it really got me when that poor man asked if a body would sink or float....a welled up, how do you answer a question like that with such a distraught father?
27:07 we can all tell she was so happy that she wasn’t the one
Some of these parents need to chill out. You have to calm down or you’re going to accomplish nothing and yes I do speak from experience. There’s plenty of time to freak out and scream and cry later but you have to keep your head on and keep calm and search for them.

All the lifeguards be thinking "Okay who said 'wow it's been quiet today'?!"
❤️❤️❤️👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽WOAAAOW!! YOU GUYS GOT REEEEALLY BIG HEARTS!!! AND REALLY GOOD PATIENCE!!! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 GOD BLESS YOOOU!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Our Aussie Angels. Thnx boys x
I saw in another video that the little boy Harries looked after was repeating the word "telephone " over and over. He'd obviously been taught that if he gets lost, to call his parents. Poor little guy.
12:02 This is so adorable ❤️
you should have a big sign lifeguards are not babysitters parents must keep eyes on their kids at all times!!!!!
They really need to carry Narcan in the tower in case of ods. Then all take a class on how to handle ods and Narcan.
Or better still, people should not abuse drugs.
@@artiemiss1724 yeah but the likelyhood of that happening is slim so it would be convenient and helpful to the lifeguards to have it onhand in those cases
Im from the uk and bondi is my fav programme. Cant wait to visit
You'll rarely see these incidents! But the lifeguards are friendly.
Same I’m from the uk
Cannot wait you legendss! ❤
The other lifegaurd in the car was laughing and everyone was trying to find Jennifer 😂
19:38 it sounds like the kid is saying “don’t know you” multiple times
I adore this, reckon it’ll always be one of my favs
I love Bondi
Thanks for the support, legend!
I have found that google translate is great for emergency situations. It’s not perfect BUT it can get basic information across! Edit: keep your little ones close and have a plan if separated especially if in another country!
When I was little my mum always made us choose a meetup point if we got lost and stay there
Preprint cards in different languages asking questions would work. Pre-recorded verbal messages in different languages would work
I watch my children like hawks. When I was seven I found the body of my friend at a lake school trip.
I will never forget it, and my daughters always thought I was too overbearing about how far they went out, etc.
I lost a friend, didn't want to lose a child.
So excited to see!
34:10 when she found out he was safe😭
LOOSENING I CHILD ON THE
BEACH IS ANY PARENT"S NIGHTMARE + SPECIALLY IF HE IS
AUTISTIC.
A child wanderes off to the beach on his own because mum is having a ' sleep ', right, my ex used to pull that stuff, luckily this child was ok thanks to the life guards, but luck will only get you so far.
Sorry but whoever does that in uncapable of raising a kid. Period.
I hope your kid is safe around her somehow...
You guys are literally superheroes
Very impressive other guards off duty came to help! COMMENDABLE!!
Parents put a lot of pressure on the lifeguards. If you can’t keep an eye on your children, stay off the beach.
Exactly.
I love bondi rescue so dramatic
Wow, it amazes me that people could enjoy themselves among the throngs of people...
That little Asian boy keeps saying ' I don't know you ' clear as a bell.
WHAT NOT TO DO ON A DAY TO THE BEACH WITH FAMILY 👪
Can't wait for this
I was lost once in the grocery store I ran up to the wrong woman because she had the same hair as my mom, then my mom called me I got lucky, but my parents taught me well, I would’ve gone up to a worker if all else failed I knew the home adresses by heart, and my moms phone number, I think all parents should teach their kids that before taking them anywhere they could possibly get lost.
So excited!!
Woo! Not long now!
Same
What a GREAT idea. Go to a beach with thousands of people with your kids and none of them speak the language. What could possibly go wrong?
