i love how you can hear a guy behind the camera say "aww man" and laugh at 18:26 when adams horns start to fall of lol
And just major props to Adam And Morgan for rolling with it and not breaking for a second.
Imagine if they had just yelled "CUT!" and redid that part... wouldn't have such a epic blooper that actually made it onto the show.
Morgan at her best here. She looks amazing!
I always loved how much X-Play would tear a game they hated to shreds. The Aquaman review is up there as one of the most iconic reviews ever.
Aquaman "a horrible disaster at a Skynyrd concert"
I love that the commercials are included in these. Just looking at the contemporary tech had me like "wait, a camera commercial?"
One of my bestfriends in High School was obsessed with Clock Tower. When she got 3, I didn't see her for 5 days
That's awesome. I don't even have ONE copy. ;)
Morgan is almost like Sigourney.
Morgan had to improvise for this one. They cut out the part where Adam talked about imagining something fun the next time the Aquaman review was shown, which was in the Golden Mullet Awards Special. But oddly, in the 2006 clip show, it was put back in. Also, G4 Rewind's version of the Golden Mullet Awards Special censors the vintage Superman and Aquaman for some reason, as well as edited out some footage from the Special itself.
back then we know how to have a good time. the social media virus wasnt bringing out the worst of us yet.
Don't be blinded by nostalgia, people were just as bad back then it was just a different form of media warping peoples minds. Just look at any of the iraq war propaganda or even the satanic panic.
@@sexypizza55563 back then people could more or less speak their mind, back then people knew how to make/take a joke. and more importantly everything wasnt 100% politicalized to the point where we have lost those bridges to connect with one another. no, it is not the same.
@@thejunkmanlives yep. When developers made games based on their thoughts and ideas without being forced or worried about any backlash of any kind. And when games were made to completion. When we had individual thoughts and not told every second of every day what we should actually be feeling.
So many fantastic memories! Thank you
Silent Hill 3 got a 5 out of 5. Nicee. I love the whole Silent Hill segment, too. "Beware of Morgan"
Clock tower 3 for the ps2 is a excellent sequel. 😀👍🎮
Ah, the classic Aquaman review.
Even though G4 is returning soon, they will never have a classic bad game review.
Thanks for these bro I watched this as an elementary schooler in like 02, 03 all the way until the show ended. I was like in middle or highschool. This was my stuff and I like seeing these old games get reviewed during their time of release. Thank you for your content.👊🏼👌🏼
"Clock Tower 3" was originally reviewed on episode 4 from May 1, 2003 (I even remember in that one, Adam asked the disembodied voice guy to put on a scary voice)
"Resident Evil: Dead Aim" was originally reviewed on episode 17 from May 31, 2003 (Saturday of all days, but I think I might have missed that one, because I was vacationing in London)
"Aquaman" was originally reviewed on episode 41 from August 7, 2003. Appropriately, it was reviewed on the same show as "Stars Wars: Knights of the Old Republic". I remember it began with a brief discussion on lamest superheroes; Adam mentioned Stiltman and how stupid the idea was.
19:53 that mansion looks oddly very similar to the Resident Evil 1 mansion from the doors to the position of the staircase
Must've been how the Japanese developers thought American mansions are.
Can we all agree that car commercial was insane
Trying to buy the original silent hill 1-4 on ps2 now cost a fortune. I wish I would’ve bought all of these games back then to have collected them until now.
I remember renting Clock Tower 3 at blockbuster and beating it in less than 5 hours to unlock alternative costume. It was such a great game. I turned it back in and never did use my new game for alt costume. Then some years ago found a nice copy at gamestop before they got rid of the ps2 Era games and bought it. I wish they'd put these games on the ps5 premium tier. So many good games to choose from!
I have "Clock Tower 3" loved it, underrated game.
One of my favorite episodes! Loved how Adam became more unhinged and demonic-looking as the episode progressed.
14:14 Still trying to find what this track is. I've only heard this used in one other thing but it was sped up. Probably some royalty free music you can find on here but can't use "AHA Music - Song Finder" on it since there is so much other noise.
15:08 "Adam, your shirts are soooo woozy!" That's what I always heard anyway.
22:20 "You see beaver teeth you gotta get beaver teeth. Here, hold this for me."
27:22 Ever since I saw this segment I always wanted to get a live lobster, walk around town with it for a day and then eat it. Still have yet to live out that dream but maybe one day.
Love spooie
Coming up tomorrow: Reviews of NBA Jam, NHL 2004, Grooverider Slot Car Thunder & WWE Wrestlemania XIX. Plus, Morgan goes one on one with a then LA Clippers Quentin Richardson. Note: Quentin Richardson played for other teams & is now retired. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quentin_Richardson
8:06 "2 out of 5" jumpscare
RIP Slippy
Didn’t know Morgan was such a screamer.
don't care for horror, but i love when MW pouts
Hi guys 😅
Back when Morgan didn't need makeup at all.
She had makeup. Anyone in front of a camera in studio wears makeup.
Aquaman: battle for Atlantis really sucks and it's the worst game of 2003.
And was it ever established why he got a blonde mullet in that game? I don't know if Lucky Chicken (the company who developed it) foresaw "X-Play" and their review on it, but if they didn't give him said blonde mullet, they probably wouldn't have given the program the opportunity to do their take on the Golden Raspberry Awards.
@@VahanNisanian maybe that is the case.
Aquaman had a mullet in the comics for a decade or so prior to the game's release. I've never actually played the game, but I'm fairly confident it was based on Peter David's relaunch of the character in 1994.
@@newspooiechannel that's right.
@@newspooiechannel yes I had that action figure as a kid
