We also need to take the Jedi's dogmatic philosophy of emotional detachment into account since this is what ultimately lead to Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader in the first place.

Anakin actually wasn't that interested in promotion for most of his time in the Jedi. But Kenobi was. He was obsessed with seats on the Council. "If you followed the code you would be on the Council." "I shall do what I must Obi-Wan." This actually warped Anakin because he consistently tried to fit a round peg into an extremely square hole. No to mention it looked like kenobi didnt explain to anakin his own history like rescuing satine or how he almost completely left the order for love or for a war Heck maybe he wasn't allowed to by the council so it doesn't "ruin the jedi image" for the chosen one.

Well to add to your commentary, Darth Plageus, the dark lord of the sith at the time, was the one who funded the creation of the clone Army. Jedi Master Sifodious was the scape goat used in his master plan and then murder. The Jedi were blinded by their arrogance, and Plageus used that to his advantage until Sideous killed him and took over and continued the plan.
I always thought Windu's comment was more self-depricating than actually true, and only made in regards to the fact that they didn't sense that a pair of Sith Lords were at large, not the rest of what they can do
I think two other things that lead to their fall: 1. having all info about other locations of jedi temples outposts at Jedi library was a stupid move. 2. Not allowing marriages and taking children from their parents was a grave mistake on their part.
Anakin was birthed to bring balance to the force. And he did by being all the Jedi order flaws into the light and eventually lead the order to be disbanded. Yet the order was brought back by his son in a face better and superior way since Luke added and took away certain teachings
I would also add that they didn't have any idea how to deal with an anomaly like Anakin in their system He was quite literally a slave from the moment he was born, and how does he need to address his Jedi superiors, Master. The way they teach is closer to indoctrination since they take in young children so they can be easily moulded into ideal Jedi, but Anakin has more trauma by the age of nine then most adults, and yet they want him to behave exactly like everyone esle when that is fundementaly impossible
Like, it took the Sith 1000 years to hatch their plan and their empire only lasted about 40 years and was destroyed essentially by one barely trained Jedi.
Another thing that needs to be brought up is during the Clone Wars we see multiple events take place that should have raised red flags for the jedi. And they did spot alot of these red flags but chose not to investigate further themselves, they chose to instead take the word of others.
This was the best analyzation of the Jedi council lack of development and leadership skills these were a bunch of idiot monks with laser swords they had a chance an opportunity to train someone that was wheeled by the force and it decided to treat him like a regular Jedi and they paid for it for thousands of years.
I think you are wrong to say that Obiwan wasn't gifted, that wasn't the problem with obi wan looking over Anakin as Obiwan is almost as skilled lightsaber duelist as Anakin. Obi wan was someone who was very strict and followed the code and couldn't give the emotional validation that Anakin needed. He was more of a brother to Anakin instead of being a father figure which made Quigon Jinn almost the perfect teacher for Anakin as he didn't follow the jedi strict code and allowed for freedom. The Jedi were one extreme of the Force users who believe any strong emotion would turn you to the dark side. We see that perfect embodied in Ki Adi mundi who was basically a psychopath. Also we see the jedi turn their back on Ashoka which makes her leave the order which further causes Anakin to lose his trust in the jedi more. Obiwan's inexperience and more brother like attitude to Anakin and the several tough and rigid philosophies that the Jedi followed ultimately lead Anakin to lose his faith in the jedi and turn to the dark side. Palpatine gave Anakin the security and emotional availability that the jedi's didn't which also helped turn Anakin to the dark side.
Where the Jedi failed was they got into politics instead of listening and meditating on the force , and their refusal to acknowledge emotion emotion isn’t bad it’s natural it’s how you handle emotion is what makes it good or bad instead the Jedi got in their head that they were above that so they didn’t know how to train Anakin who was a strongly emotional fella where as The Sith are heavy on using their emotions (anger and hate) to fuel their use of the darkside which Palpatine understood that and used Anakin’s emotions to win him over to the darkside .
The Jedi order would have never allowed and it can do study the teachings of Revan as proven when they refuse to permit him to have a student because they were ultimately too afraid of how those kind of ideals would change their ways so the problems of the Jedi went way further back than just the clone Wars era Jedi. It's a fundamental flaw of the entire order
I'm sure everyone has a good reason, but the truth is that the main positions on the Jedi Council were held for life. Yoda was too old to change his view or ways. It was not until Qui-gon Jinn made contact with Yoda that his view on things changed for the first time in hundreds of years. The possibility that there was more for HIM to learn about the Force! We see this when he tells Anakin he's encountered something difficult "difficult? For you Master?" This shows that everyone thinks he knows everything about everything, and he thought he did! If the post of Grand Master of the Jedi Order lasted only a few years the view could have changed in the war and it's likely Ashoka would not have been expelled as new people would look into it, but Yoda and Mace Windu did nothing! They bowed to the will of authority and later discovered they had been wrong and didn't say "sorry, we were wrong" Mace says "this was your greatest test" or in other words he said "this was the will of the Force. The Force wanted you to die to cover that we don't care about anyone any more. To cover that we just care about hanging onto our power and pride. To admit that we had made a mistake would make us look bad, so we blame the Force instead of ourselves". Basically, Mace says that Barriss was right, the Jedi have lost their way, they have become villains, they have fallen from the Light, they are an Army fighting for the Dark Side. Ashoka could see that Barriss was right about the Jedi, and so she left the Jedi Order so that she would not be a villian. I think it was then that Yoda saw that Barriss was right about them, but he didn't know what to do. He didn't know how to keep their power and change, and this leads to the fall of the Jedi Order! Yoda doesn't know how to change! He even refused to change his view on Anakin. Once he became Darth Vader, Anakin was gone forever! Vader was pure evil in flesh and mind and Anakin could never return! It is impossible to turn away from the Dark Side! When did change happen? After Obi-Wan and Yoda died! They could not change! They could not be wrong! But they were! A new generation, a new view, and much as I hate the Sequels, we get a new view again from Rey. Older and wiser yes, but if you get too old or too wise, you become a problem and finally lost like Yoda did.
good video, but a small criticism. balance in the force doesnt mean using the dark and the light side. the light side is the natural and balanced state of the force. the dark side itself is unbalance, a perversion of the force. the elimination of the sith/the dark side is restoring balance. these arent my words, this is how george explained it.

Yeah, that's a good point. I just never really liked George's explanation on it. I understand what he's saying, I just think it could have been explained better.
Anakin Skywalker and subsequently Darth Vader was truly a monster of the order’s own creation. The physical embodiment of their mistakes.
We also need to take the Jedi's dogmatic philosophy of emotional detachment into account since this is what ultimately lead to Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader in the first place.
I know right, there's so much potential of being a showing for what the jedi really are.

If there is one thing that we can learn from the fall of the Jedi Order is that the light can be just as blinding as darkness.

The jedis vision and sense was clouded by the dark side by so much smh, they should never put their main temple on top of a sith shrine 🤦

Each individual Jedi should follow their own path, rather than reorganizing the Jedi Order. Luke Skywalker was a great example of that.
