The dry topcoat helps to dry even the polish under ? Or it has to be well dryed before putting the top coat?
When I have used striping tape wtih top coat it never stays on the nail. :( What is the trick?
It stays on when using gel polish and a LED lamp. Also, after putting it on, use the end of a nail scraper or orange wood stick to push it down into the cuticle (gently), before applying the top coat. And don't forget to cap the end of your nail!

Yes with one coat of top coat they won't stay on. Do you think it's the brand of striping tape just not strong enough to stay on?
Carime Gardner I don't know but would think the topcoat would seal it in. I suppose you could try adding nail glue (as used for attaching rhinestones, etc) to the tape, although that might be tedious.

Same happens to me. Even with a generous top coat. Lasts a week. Almost seems to make it break down and peel off in layers.

what are you using to cut the long extra pieces of tape at the very end? Love the look!
She's using a nail clipper. I use a hang nail clipper; it's easier for me and makes a cleaner cut.
