Yes, a Medieval pack would be nice. In general, more fantasy, quirky, out-of-this-world, weird packs are in order, in my opinion. Real life is boring, and we are already living that.
And sims 3 medieval is an amazing game. But I also want this in sims 4. It is really hard to build something medieval that sims actually can live in without breaking immersion because of a flushing toilet or a big fancy fridge. Also actually a world where we at least don’t have concrete roads and like electrical street signs/lights. So we can fully pretend to play medieval.
This came out great! I would love more fantasy/historical/mythical packs for Sims! Playing with laundry and vacuuming is too much like real life, I want an escape from real life when I game!

as an avid Skyrim player i absolutely LOVE this build 😍 so excited to watch you build an entire viking themed town, a blacksmith would be great and maybe some kind of barracks/viking training ground? ⚔️
I am so here for this Viking village! A fishing place would be good as there’s a lot of items with that theme. Maybe a shipyard with some places selling fresh catches straight from the boat?
As a Swede, I'd recommend a house for the Völva, which is basically the village witch. It's a priestess that is said to communicate with the Gods, using herbs and runes to heal, predict and perform magic.
Extremely cool, a medieval pack would be awesome for game play especially for builds. It’s difficult to find great items for castles beams, arches and doors. There’s other things too that are missing that would be nice to have, big wooden hearths, items that fit inside the fireplace for cooking, outside a good well, and other items. To your build, it’s Fabulous, as usual you build amazing buildings and come up with such incredible things that will make extraordinary storylines. Am looking forward to seeing your Viking village.

I would literally pass out if we got some kind of medieval pack! I have been dying for some more historical type packs so that we can really broaden our gameplay. I vote the next build is a stave church! And of course, this build looks wonderful! I have been OBSESSED with Valheim lately and have actually ben thinking about doing some viking builds... lol. Can't wait for more viking builds!
Even a world like Dragon Valley from the TS3 store would be awesome- they basically acknowledged the world was in the modern era but choosing to live a more historical lifestyle. This is such a cool build!
o wow looking forward to you filling out granite falls. would really love a pack that comes with a world that isn’t modern with concrete roads, skyscrapers in the distance, etc. i’m sure modders will give us that before ea 👀
I think a Meadery would be a BRILLIANT build! Bee boxes for honey, a floral garden & Eco Fizz stills. I have a Brewery like this on the warf in Brindleton Bay called the Old Salty Paws Brewery & it's fantastic.
I feel like I'm the only one begging for a nordic world in sims 4 😂 I absolutely love Aurora Skies from sims 3, is just my dream. I tried to turn Newcrest in to a nordic world, but the other buildings from debug surrounding the area just breaks the whole vibe
Wow I love it! Not Norwegian but from the neighbourhood (🇫🇮😉) and I love to see anything Nordic! I wish we had a proper horizontal wood siding wallpaper since the one that came with Outdoor retreat looks so unrealistic. :/ I'm not sure but I'd guess these mead halls wouldn't have this vertical siding. (Based on what I know from Finnish wood construction) We can't really make proper log buildings without cc bc the wood textures don't look right. It would be cool to see you build a healer's cabin! Damn I want that medieval pack so bad! I just want some non-modern looking build items and especially roofs, roof trims and wallpapers! And sword fighting :D
I think Granite Falls fits a Viking theme. I really like the hall. Medieval stuff would be great. There would have to be options to turn off technology etc.

I don't understand why we don't already have medieval packs. Real life is so boring. We already know vacuuming, washing the laundry... I want more, ahah. Moreover, I studied medieval history at university, this would be a great experience to play to Sims 4 in this incredible period : without electricity or running water, with public punishment (why not ?...). But simmers always voted for "real life" packs. Anyway... Dreaming is always permit....

This is so cool! 😍 I'm writing my bachelors thesis in archeaology and The Sims 4 is my favourite game so it's really cool to see Scandinavian prehistory builds in the game. (Swede here 🇸🇪) Love how it turned out, and I think the Island living beams looks good. I also 100% hope for a fantasy/medieval pack too, as well as horses. I play/build lot of historical/medieval-inspired so yeah, I too would love to se an unmodern world in the game.
That is so cool! It’s in my opinion definitely a bit different to build than normal houses in the sims. But I personally enjoy it a lot. Hope to finish the viking village one day.

Love this soooo much. I would love a medieval pack and some awesome stained glass windows, oh an gothic windows, archways, etc. Generall history pack would be nice. I built so many medieval castles and houses and lord of the rings elven houses in the sims 2 (had a lot of cc).
This is gorgeous omg. I get bored like midway through a big build. And I need to take a weekly break. Lol and the leader of a Viking village I think is a Jarl idk if I spelt it right but it’s like pronounced (yarl) I believe I could be wrong and wish to be corrected. And runes the carvings are runes spelt that wrong too more than likely.
VALHEIM :D It's a fun game, I've gotten quite a bit hooked by it as well. Greetings from Norway, by the way! I thought I was following Ninnster on twitter already, but apparently that contest thing completely slipped my radar, so thanks for that. I might join. Probably. And I definitely relate to wanting a medieval pack... or even just a building kit. Or a clothing kit. I simply want more medieval content. Specifically viking content, but general medieval stuff is fine too. See, I actually have this savefile in which I'm literally playing the pasts of my characters, one of them is an immortal viking, so clearly it is set in the viking age... and builds like these are perfect for that. I've attempted to build viking stuff too, but kinda had to resort to using some custom content, because one thing I definitely noticed is that TS4 is far too modern and american. I also find it really difficult to find a variety of good, accurate viking tunic CC... so just.. hey EA, give us a medieval game pack. Perhaps one that comes with the gameplay feature of removing our sims' phones. And a world similar to Granite Falls, except even more untouched. Plenty of trees, as well as dirt paths. No house shells, no roads. Thanks. Also, I actually set my viking family on that one island in Windenburg. There are no streets there either, and plenty of sea around, so it actually works really well?? Maybe there are some buildings visible in the far-off distance, but those are fairly easy to ignore. I also got a mod that would let me disable their phones, which is a godsend. Must-have for medieval games.
Oh yes, on the Island in Windenburg are no roads too. But you can see that low quali coastline and the sailboat in the background. It's still far from perfect but definitely the best option for medieval gameplay so far. I agree. I've written down some of your ideas. Maybe I feature them in a little video if you don't mind. I want to do a video series which is more of a What if-Pack discussion series. Were I would try to show the ideas people from the community have and how a pack for it would look like etc.
I love Batuu. As soon as I saw the items in that pack I knew I'd love it even if the gameplay wasn't great just because of the banners, wall art, clothes & misc decor. It upsets me so much how many people viscerally rage against Batuu just because it isn't there style. I'm not a fan of Vampires or Magic but I can appreciate them for what they add for people who do want them. Why can't others respect my love of space & ancient cultures mashed together? Tea Time: When I was a little girl I wanted to be a space archeologist & attend Star Fleet Academy. I was heartbroken when my dad told me the truth.
Oh no. That sounded like the best dream job a kid could have. I myself don’t love all the packs and that’s just normal. But in the recent years the angry kids just scream louder than the undecided majority. I always liked the JtB because I immediately fell in love with the items.

I want a viking community garden! :D Like, old fashioned buildings and off the grid, and only plants that may have existed in Europe at that time, for example no tomatoes. (Now that I've written this I realize it may be hard to put a community garden in a vacation world. Oops.)

I absolutely LOVE this. YES we need a Medieval Pack. YES a full expansion. My heritage is Oneida, Danish & Dutch. I have only 2 requests for Maxis. LONG braids & more rustic build/clothing items. Of course I AM concerned about cultural appropriation of my peoples however that doesn't mean I should be bared from living my ancestral dreams because other's can't understand headdresses are for museums not Coachella. RE: wooden bath items, I use the showhiddenobjects bathtub & toilet a lot. I don't care they are uncomfortable or "ugly" that is what I want! It's literally what I'm going for. I frankly wish every single pack came with woodworking items added to the woodworking table. Why was Granit Falls the only pack that added more woodworking!? And YES you can live in Granit Falls renew your rental every 7 days.
Very good points for a medieval pack. I so hope we get something like it. However i am not satisfied with the wooden toilet. Noone had a toilet like that back in the day. They should add a big bowl or pot for the bladder. Like we saw in sims 3 medieval.

The wooden toilets are not great but the outhouse we had at our families homestead was literally a wooden bench that had a hole in it cemented with hard mud & rocks into a hole in the ground. My hometown has natural rock formations. The most common way to create an outhouse on marshland near rock formations in the 1840s was to literally find a deep chasim that was small, place a bench over it, saw a hole in & pray there were no sinkholes. So I've seen some toilets that do not look like they should have ever existed to begin with. A chamber pot style toilet makes a lot of sense to me. I also don't understand why they didn't add urinals when they created the stalls for University.
There's a medieval looking toilet in the debug.. i think it's from Get Famous? it's called "throne" something.. anyway still would'nt fit a viking set but it's better than nothing
Oh good idea. yeah sure..I could stream Valheim someday. We are currently not cheating on the server, so we have to learn and grind everything first before we can truly build something big. We are also only 3 peeps on my server atm. So it takes it's time ^^

A chamber pot style toilet makes a lot of sense to me. I also don't understand why they didn't add urinals when they created the stalls for University.

There's a medieval looking toilet in the debug.. i think it's from Get Famous? it's called "throne" something.. anyway still would'nt fit a viking set but it's better than nothing

Oh good idea. yeah sure..I could stream Valheim someday. We are currently not cheating on the server, so we have to learn and grind everything first before we can truly build something big. We are also only 3 peeps on my server atm. So it takes it's time ^^
