Mother’s difficult situation: Unmarried and pregnant in camp

Patricia Mariko Morikawa Sakamoto was born in Manzanar in 1944. Her parents married in camp, but separated soon after when her father returned with his family to Japan. Her family left Manzanar for the Burbank trailer camp, then moved to Los Angeles, California. In this clip, she shares about her mother’s difficult situation in camp as a pregnant and unmarried woman.
