@erendrake I think it’s only an issue mainly with “high ping” game sessions. I played with someone fairly far away and he kept on getting kicked out lol
@@Rooslahn For some reason the Iron Gate devs decided to implement a system that requires that portals be constantly checked by the engine. This can kill performance in what we call "player lag" (multiple people occupying the same chunk, one player controlling the chunk and all others experiencing "player lag"). There are very talented people out there who understand the engine well enough to rewrite that part of it and make it possible to run servers of 100+ concurrent players with minimal "player lag". Unfortunately I'm not one of them. =(
The point of needing a means of flying is very good (and you can in "cheat" mode). I've played both Minecraft and Valheim with flying capabilities and it changes the game drastically in terms of giving you perspective, envisioning where you are, orienting, and really just appreciating the grandeur of the world you are living in. It definitely adds to the quality of the game. In Minecraft we just use the very slow moving Archimedes Airships and even that can be breathtaking at times in the views that you can see. Excellent video. I love this game and this world. It's my second home. Enshrouded is a close second but I think the random world generation of Valheim makes it feel infinite and more like a universe
I've spent well over 300 hours in Valheim. I like that it is a game just lets you vibe and doesn't press you to go further than you want to go, like you mentioned. I spend a lot of time building, just to see what I can come up with. I do use the modifiers that they have added to the game though, so I can carry ores through the portals. And I mostly do this because sailing with laggy internet equals one torn up boat because the waves hits it too hard because of the lag.

I absolutely love the Atmosphere in this game, the varied weather and daytimes, the cozyness at home. And building, subsequently i tend to try to power through the game because new biome means new building option. But peaceful as i am, that game can grind my gears. Mostly when i go into a new biome, then die in there and loose access to the good gear i used to get there and thus being soft locked out of that biome, because going in with bad gear to recover the good one is mroe often than not suicide. Last playthrough in fact, yesterday i got locked out of the mountains that way. At that point it was easier to delete that peticular world and character and restart, hint for anyone new. If you make new armor and weapons to go into a new biome. Do yourself a favor and invest the extra grind to make two sets of your best upgraded armor and weapons, You'll need it. I developed a special hatred against the forces that want to keep me and Odin out of that world.
I have a habit of placing a portal every time I am exploring (looking for new biome) I typically keep my portal resources on my ship that way I can drop them at my will (as long as I remember the portal’s name I have to connect to lol).
@@Rooslahn Portals are definitely mandatory, i use them heavily. @@chriss2031 Believe me we've all been there, you just try and try until you succeed. Don't try fighting them, just sneak to your gear and then run for your life.
I love Valheim. My only complaint is nomap mode: It's all or nothing. You either get both mini and regular map with all functionality, or nothing at all and good luck tracing any vegvisir that cover a good distance (Moder, Yagluth and Queen often are, and our favorite swamp beast may be). You could alleviate this with an external map tool, but that immediately gives away the entire world at once. A mod to allow the cartography table feels like a good balance. Also, nomap has you create paths and markers to keep your way. A large, steep mountain becomes a huge project just to find your way on it. Mining etc comes on top of that. I dread when my nomap play hits the mist. Loving no map (with table) and no portal though! It makes me interact with biomes more, making paths, setting up markers and building resting spots along the way.
I'd have to agree 95%, no flying boats though. Been on a Valheim break, doing some other games, and limited time. I find Valheim's progression in game to be simply better, and more enjoyable to me. Looking foreward to getting back, when i have more time available. Biggest issue for me is, a restart or continue (just started mistlands). lol
Yeah I feel you on “restart part”. I find myself taking a break for awhile and then purposely restarting because I wouldn’t know where to begin😂😂😂 it only happened twice. Especially once I take a long break from Valheim
@@Rooslahn the 'smurf coach' was my solution for getting back after a long break. Starting a new character with only the intention of getting back into the groove. So after a half year hiatus I started with new character, but after 10-12 hours the big world wasn't as intimidating than w/ completely snoozed off parry reflexes and building mindset. So it was way easier to pick up the 200h+ world and character after a warm-up exercise.
Yep! I restarted a few weeks ago after a few months away. Now I’m about to fight the Ashland’s boss this weekend and have all the fully-upgraded top-tear armor/tools/weapons. I need to get into building aspect more, otherwise I fear I might take a super long break and will have to restart again once the next biome is released, but maybe that’s for the better anyway!
A flying ship wouldn't be totally immersion breaking if introduced by Dverger components, but I'm not sure that's what the game really needs. Sea travel is a major part of this game, and I think adding a wider variety of ships of varying sizes and speeds would do far more to improve travel and world exploration.
You can fly in Valheim without mods. You need a feather cape and either A: A friend and a harpoon or B: a catapult. The equipment exists in vanilla Valheim, just takes some practice and experimentation to get the technique down pat.
@@Rooslahn Yes, it is gliding, if you press a directional key you will cancel the glide and start falling. You'd be surprised how far you can go with a high elevation starting point. With an elevation of 200m or greater I can usually make it to the next island dismissing the need for portal or boat when using a catapult. With a friend and a harpoon you can go much much further than that. A friend and I built "airports" on mountaintops in the community server we play on. I was able to get from about spawn to about 1/2 way to edge of world in a single flight.
@@Rooslahn I have 2 videos I can point you towards, one for harpoon flight and one for catapult flight. There are many out there, I just found these two with a couple quick searches. Video title: Catapult Shenanigans | Valheim Disclaimer: I had nothing to do with the creation of these videos and they are not made on the community server I play on. Enjoy!
I really like Valheim but i kinda have to be in the right mental space to play it. In that, i mean running around an entire world knowing there's absolutely no other players out there but me. Im quite a social gamer & love co-op especially, but my problem is none of my friends like it or play it, except one who always disappears without saying a word whether it's a quick break to the bathroom or 20 minutes cleaning the kitchen or whatever. I've told him countless times that it drives me mad because im sitting there like an idiot not knowing how long he might be, but he never changes & so i don't bother with him anymore. I either play the game alone or not at all. I've tried modded servers with other players running around which feels a bit less lonely, but if you're still on your own it doesn't really change anything much. It's perfect if I'm in the mood to be all by myself in a game, but i rarely feel that way so i mainly stick to my favourite mmo FF14.
“You gotta be in the right mental space to play” is sooooo relatable! I personally go through this bipolar phase….where I play nothing but Valheim but then if I take a break I tend to take a long one lol and then have to have the right mindset to be willing to come back and finish where I left off😂 so I couldnt relate more to this comment😂 I’m very much “stay at home dad” in Valheim😂 I’m normally the one building villages and plenty of storage spaces for everyone else😂 especially if I play with someone (that is).
My solution to that kind of co-player was to run a server but not mind them too much. If they drop in to join me for a bit that's fine. If they drop out, that's fine. If they idle and die, that's fine too.
Yeah, I would love to fly in Valheim. Could be ok with the game theme. From the Mistland biome you get magic. What's the point of magic if you don't fly with it ? 😆 There are sea serpents also. Sea serpent + wings = dragon, ok it's fine, let's go. I also tried Valheim thinking it wasn't my type of game. 150 hours directly. The music, the building system, the simplicity (except for food), and of course the vibe. This game has something really special. Again, nice video.
Yeah magic was a nice touch for sure but yes for real😂 “gliding down wearing a cape without taking any damage” doesn’t count! I’d love to be able to get on the ship with wings or build a glider machine and fight dragons in the air…just wishing out here lol
When it first came out i wanted to give this game a chance i am now more then 1000 hours. The music is incredible, your progress is very rewardful, and the building well it is the best of any games. This game grabs you and never lets you go. Enjoy the most unique game ever made.
Let’s also not forget how simple the building is! All you need is a fair amount of wood for the starting base and that’s it…the game doesn’t tell you “hey you need nails” or anything else just to build a simple wall! Which would create extra headache
I like the thought process behind the flying ship idea. For me, the ideal game would be a mashup of Valheim and Tears of the Kingdom. It would be cool to be able to construct custom boats and vehicles that can function as long as they have the necessary pieces. Probably a nightmare on the development side, but I think that's where survival games could be headed.
I feel as you do, sir. I fell in love with Valheim over 2 years ago (and over 1400 hours in game), and I still play nearly daily. Sometimes, I simply start a new world to experience a totally new challenge. There are still lots of small bugs the devs must work through, and a whole biome to release content for, but for an early access game that has this much content, I am extremely happy.
After 1400 hours what would you classify as a “new challenge”? At least at the beginning haha I feel like someone with your experience wouldn’t have any challenges at the beginning of every new game😂
@@Rooslahn In the beginning of each world, you are fresh, new, and unimpressive as an entity. A boar is a formattable enemy, but a Viking has to eat =) Knowledge of the game and learning the mechanics are only a small part of Valheim. There are many different difficulty and world settings to take advantage of making each new world all that more dangerous or challenging... or both. As you progress though, your skills as a player increase, and your excitement of coming home to the coziness you long for is a real, palpable emotion. I get that from few games, but Valheim is in the top of a very short list. The building mechanic keeps me coming back as well. Every new house, outpost, or stronghold gives you a sense of pride. Some advice to new players, build often. Make safe places where there were none before your arrival. Make the world bend to your will, not the other way around. Odin watches, and he only favors the valiant!
@@Rooslahn oh I wasn't complaining or anything like that I was just kind of sideways agreeing with you that taking your time is fine and enjoying every aspect instead of just rushing through it
Its fun, but I've never played with people. Because im on so random, i cant host and idk anyone whos oaying for it thatll just let randoms join. Would be interesting if it was more a mmo option. Istead of starting center, i biomes went outwards in. So center will be ashlands and outer be meadows
I love this game. It would be nice is there were horses added to the game. Aside from that, it would be nice if there were saddlebags available for the animals you can ride to have additional carrying capacity.
I think their solution to that (as of right now) is riding LOX. They’re not fast but you can definitely carry bunch of weight while riding them and it doesn’t effect them or their speed
It is not as punishing if you prepare. Just make sure to make a plan before you leave your base and adjust your inventory appropriately. As long as i go out prepared i find valheim extremely easy, including bossfights. The only thing i find that gives me a challenge is moving from one biome to the next. But even then, if you know the attack patterns it's still really easy if you stay calm.
flying in valheim? hell no. Remember what happened to wow after flying was introduced. It changes the scope of the game. makes the whole world seem smaller.
nice take! have been spending way more hours than I should on this game. About flying, there is this mod that adds dragons as mount if that is something for you. I think Devs are not adding flying because there is not enough risk involved currently, would be fun to have some flying as well as some new danger that comes with flying
@@Rooslahn Yes, there is a complicated taming system involved, basically it will spawn special mobs that have a chance of dropping required dragon egg and then you hatch it from the egg and it goes through the normal growth. I think there are couple of different mods with dragons one is Dragonriders, where you will craft it from certain materials. Then there is Magical Mounts, that adds tons of others and you can craft or tame from wild depends of what you like. And I recall seeing something different as well but I am unable to recall the name just found it, its called Beastiary, but will be released in September.
Love Valheim just love it! 100s of hrs in this one!!! there is only 1 dislike about this game you CANT build big at all :( you want a massive castle? you will get massive lag im told its a game engine problem More building pieces = more instances = more lag aka low fps its somthing you will come across alot on forums there a lot of videos on youtube tho on how to cut down on lag when building very sad really its such a damn good game with a bad engine :(
In terms of limitations? Or capability? I’m pretty sure you can place multiple workbenches to expend your territory, but what that would do to the performance of the game! I have no clue 😃 maybe that’s what you meant
For some reason, i have a really hard time investing myself in this game, despite the fact that i love the atmosphere and art. I don't know, it might be some kind of survival fatigue or something.
@@Rooslahn As of late, not really. Last survival game i played was Project Zomboid a few months ago, and only like 30 or 40 minutes iirc. Fatigue it is, i guess. Doesn't really matter tho, it's not gonna last forever, so i'll be able to really enjoy this beautiful game eventually.
Honestly, I wish Valheim was better. I recently played through the game with my brother, and up to Plains the game is fairly good. Mistlands and Ashlands are horrible, boring grinds that don't add much to the gameplay. Why the hell is the end boss of the Mistlands a bug, when the narrative seemed to suggest that it would be an insane dweger queen? And why doesn't killing the boss banish the mists? And Ashlands is basically Normandy in hell. The game itself is pretty lacking in several areas. The game has very little variety to offer in terms of combat: no early magic, no dual wielding, only a couple of two-handed weapons, no real styles beyond just spamming the attack button. Your primary weapons are likely going to be sword/mace + shield and bow for most of the game, with very little ever changing. Swamps biome is a slog to get through with no other sources of iron, and the mountain biome is forgotten as soon as you have managed to get your first silver vein. The merchants don't offer many worthwhile goods, making gold and other riches worthless. Exploration is also fairly pointless beyond getting the resources you need for the next tier. The game misses tons of quality of life features, doesn't have a proper aiming system for melee, has a tiny map exploration radius, and doesn't have crafting from storage enabled by default, but those at least can be remedied with mods. For returning players there's nothing much more to be seen. The game is entirely linear in terms of its progression and the update pace is glacial. Mods are really nice, but they can't carry the game when the game itself offers so little. I dearly wish Valheim was a better and more full-featured, and more sandboxy game. I want to play more Valheim, but there's not much to be seen in it. :/
Wow you’ve got some time in it (I can tell lol) 😂 I will say, it is disappointing to know that the “dual melee system” doesn’t come in until later in the game( which is a bit out of place, yes 100% agreed !) it’s crazy to know about the bosses too! Furthest I’ve ever gotten in the game was “Plains” and ( I was really taking my time with it ) especially knowing that Mistlands was coming up. I personally find myself enjoying “the journey” in this game and I have always leaned towards “casual gaming”. I have close to 400 hrs (which is not a lot compared to some elites out there) haha but I’d say based on how much I’ve unlocked and how much time I have in the game…I’m basically a “stay at home dad in Valheim”😂😂😂 i I have also not tried a single mod & been mainly playing vanilla only. I am tempted to try the dragon mod, in order to save some of that headache you were talking about with swamps!
I have to disagree with you respectfully on a few key points. 1 - You can actually see an image of the bosses (a rough image granted) at the offering stones. What from the image would make you think it was an insane Dvergr queen? The Mistlands are the way they are to keep people Out, not be welcoming as the Dvergr that live there don't want others coming and freeing the Queen from her prison. 2 - I won't comment on Ashlands because you're right - it's insane. Then again aren't most biomes when you first enter them? 3 - There is dual wielding once you reach the Mountain biome, basically the 1/2-way point of the game (At least until The Deep North is released) 4 - You're going to carry a Mace/Axe/Sword+Shield+Bow because that's what Vikings carried. (Even the two-handed war variety: Warhammer/Battleaxe/Claymore) 5 - Carry your hoe with you and level the ground as you trek through the Swamp - this is a well-known Tip in, I'd dare say 99% of Valheim Tips/Tricks videos, you're working against yourself by not and thusly, creating your own problem. 5a - If you've left the Mountain biome after your first silver vein, you've missed the Frost Caves which add in the Fenrir enemies and thusly, Fenrir Armor set (Which includes a dual wield weapon - though it counts as Fists so that one even confused me 6 - You are 1,000% correct here. The merchants are horrible and it's the most complained about thing in Valheim (Since the Portal options were made at least - that use to be number 1) 7 - Updates... Look at the updates we have gotten and what they've added. Now ask yourself, are several small, less impactful updates nice? Sure. Are the big updates that bring days of new gameplay and grind better? Absolutely! (It's heavily stated that the original Portal "No metal ores" settings were basically just a time-pad for the game and they noticed, and they made it a feature you can turn off or on in the Settings of your world) 8 - QoL - Several have been made... but a targeting reticle for Melee? Do your hands have sights? Scope mounts? No, they don't. Does the Bow (a sighted weapon) have a reticle? Absolutely. So why would your hands have a "Sight"? 9 - The game is anything BUT linear and is entirely sandbox. You wanna spawn into the Meadows and immediately run to the Mountains, The Mislands, The Ashlands? Go for it. The game won't stop you till you get there by repeatedly killing you and sending you back to spawn. (Just like any other Sandbox survival game) 10 - As far as crafting from containers. I agree, it's a little annoying to have to carry, and likely encumber yourself to make one item at a time, but that's "Realism" in an otherwise fantasy game. 11 - Mods - "Mods can't carry the game." Oh I beg to differ. There is a mod that completely transforms Valheim into a true RPG (and even one that adds NPC villagers that will help you just like say, Dragon Age (they are NOT smart LOL )) I'm sorry to have to disagree with a majority of your comment. It was well written and well-spoken and I tip my hat to you, but the facts are, the game has shown incredible progress since it's early Alpha days. What I'm saddened by is that there may come a time when Updates will Only be QoL as the last Biome to be finished is The Deep North (and it's next). Then the team will move into another project. (Valheim 2?) but that could (and should) be at least a year or so away. Thank you Rooslahn for the honest critique of the game. Play at your pace, that's what it's all about. I typically power through the Meadows/Black Forrest until I reach the Swamp and then slow Way down! The Plains are unforgiving while you're working on your black metal gear/weapons/tools.
It's a awsome game but you explore the same exact places everywhere you go it needs more pois to make it the best. That's why I liked 7 days to die the best.
@ozzdrake9335 ya but it needs more places to explore like castles, buildings, dungeons. The dungeons themselves like in the swamps all look the same. I wants some detail something that tells a story like someone or something lives there or once has lived there
Of course! Most of my playthrough is done solo and as an admin you can easily toggle PvP or pve within seconds. Valheim isn’t the type of game you go hunting for players (I promise you )
Fantastic game at the core - too bad the devs are complete loosers. Their development pace and Early Access badge abuse has made them a meme our grandchildren will be laughing at. Another 'thank god for modders to keep this title where it's at' scenario
I’ll be honest with you, Deadpoly isn’t doing it for me lol I tried to revisit it so many times after the new map and it’s still so empty and with no purpose.

@@Rooslahn
Portals are definitely mandatory, i use them heavily.
Unfortunately when your grave with your ebst equipment ends up next to a cristal golem spawn point and a wolfpack you aint getting your hands at that grave anymore with anything less than that, i tried. That was pretty much my pet pevee of yesterday. :P
I can understand that😂😂😂 I surely won’t start all over again on my fourth time( if I end up taking another break) I mean surely not😂
Love your work so much Roo. Please make longer videos 😂
Hahaha😂 hey thank you
Very well made video! Good work 🙂
Thank you Muhzzy:)
Paragliding would be awesome. Viking magic could make it happen.
You can fly in Valheim without mods. You need a feather cape and either A: A friend and a harpoon or B: a catapult. The equipment exists in vanilla Valheim, just takes some practice and experimentation to get the technique down pat.
But that’s more gliding? Is it not? You can just glide down without taking damage?
@@Rooslahn Yes, it is gliding, if you press a directional key you will cancel the glide and start falling. You'd be surprised how far you can go with a high elevation starting point. With an elevation of 200m or greater I can usually make it to the next island dismissing the need for portal or boat when using a catapult. With a friend and a harpoon you can go much much further than that. A friend and I built "airports" on mountaintops in the community server we play on. I was able to get from about spawn to about 1/2 way to edge of world in a single flight.
I’d love to see a clip of it😂
@@Rooslahn I have 2 videos I can point you towards, one for harpoon flight and one for catapult flight. There are many out there, I just found these two with a couple quick searches.
Harpoon flight- Channel name: BigBrianGameplay. Video title: Valheim's harpoon glitch proves the world is flat
Catapult flight- Channel name: Waffles. Video title: Catapult Shenanigans | Valheim
Disclaimer: I had nothing to do with the creation of these videos and they are not made on the community server I play on.
Enjoy!
Hey I appreciate you! And no worries that’s what community is all about man
I really like Valheim but i kinda have to be in the right mental space to play it.
My inner goblin wonders if you can fly by causing a big boom under yourself while wearing the gliding cape
Just use dev command (ghost mode), you can fly literally.
lol come on now😂😂😂
I've bought this game twice, once for myself and for my friend, we both have sunk over 1000 hours in
When it first came out i wanted to give this game a chance i am now more then 1000 hours.
If you want to fly then get the feathered cape and a trebuchet and let it launch you. I have seen folks fly for minutes this way.
I love this and no man's sky. Valheim feels to me like dark souls meets vikings.
There are already mods out there where you can place and attach chests to ships even certain building parts to them. It’s definitely doable
@Qbhaal I get your take on it now!🤌🏻
200 days in and just stepped foot in the swamp last night.....didnt go far
You have to spend more time with it! It gets easier the more you’re dealing with it
@@Rooslahn oh I wasn't complaining or anything like that I was just kind of sideways agreeing with you that taking your time is fine and enjoying every aspect instead of just rushing through it
I thought you were feeling a bit frustrated, so I figured I’d give my two cents. Have you been past Plains yet?
@@Rooslahn just stepped into the swamp
Some Valkyrie wings like the ones we came into valheim on at the end of the game BOOM that’s it.
Skidbladnir is a Ship made for the Vanir god Freyr, It could be folded like cloth and could fly. It would fit your idea of a flying ship.
Maybe the right dev will see this comment and think about it…😭
Its fun, but I've never played with people.
I absolutely hate how punishing the game is but I keep coming back.
Stunning cinematics
Thank you Josh :)
Flying stuff might come in final biome, maybe. There are mounts for riding, or capes for wind sprinting.
It's definitely fun. Especially with friends. I've put in over 400 hours on this game.
Even trees are there to get you... I love this game 2300 hours. (Played also modded run)
Yeah😂 risk it all
flying in valheim?
How do you go about getting a dragon? I’m assuming there’s some sort of taming system involved? Thank you for letting me know btw
And I recall seeing something different as well but I am unable to recall the name
just found it, its called Beastiary, but will be released in September.
@rnailo good to know! I’ll keep my eyes open for it! Thank you for letting me know the details
they need to go full out sci fi after the deep north, introduce spaceships and the space biome and other worlds.
There’s no way that would happen
A pretty grand statement, I’ve enjoyed Valheim but it definitely could be improved on
Most definitely.
Plains is where the real fun starts
Not Mistlands?
@@Rooslahn the plains is where the game really starts kicking your butt for sure. Mistlands comes after and it gets more difficult than the plains.
@@Rooslahn plains first before mistlands
@glenncolina4353 yeah I know that, but I’m saying don’t you think Mistlands is where «the fun really begins” hahah
And Mistlands is where the magic exists correct?
Fantastic video mate! Your voice is calming af
Thank you Josh
Valheim is one of a kind ❤️
Yesssss
Nice multiplayer is fixed-we rolling up
Once?
It's your PC dude.
Flying ship would be dope af
It sure would be nice!
For some reason, i have a really hard time investing myself in this game, despite the fact that i love the atmosphere and art. I don't know, it might be some kind of survival fatigue or something.
It may be fatigue! Do you find yourself playing other survival games? ( any in particular?)
My favorite game of all time
Relatable :D
I love this so much! Awesome video!!!!
Awh thank you :D
you literally start the game flying into the world. its not unrealistic at all
Hahaha😂😂😂
nah flying would break the game honestly, wouldnt be a good addition. otherwise, nice video !
Thanks man. It would only break the game if devs are incapable of that work. But i think these guys could handle it.
I use to play this then my comp started going to shit iffy bout trying it on my new comp
My computer is running 3070 Ti and it runs hot on max settings! 70 degrees
I think if you turn your rendering distance a notch-that should solve it (hopefully)
I have close to 400 hrs (which is not a lot compared to some elites out there) haha but I’d say based on how much I’ve unlocked and how much time I have in the game…I’m basically a “stay at home dad in Valheim”😂😂😂 i
I have also not tried a single mod & been mainly playing vanilla only.
3 - There is dual wielding once you reach the Mountain biome, basically the 1/2-way point of the game (At least until The Deep North is released)
4 - You're going to carry a Mace/Axe/Sword+Shield+Bow because that's what Vikings carried. (Even the two-handed war variety: Warhammer/Battleaxe/Claymore)
5 - Carry your hoe with you and level the ground as you trek through the Swamp - this is a well-known Tip in, I'd dare say 99% of Valheim Tips/Tricks videos, you're working against yourself by not and thusly, creating your own problem.
5a - If you've left the Mountain biome after your first silver vein, you've missed the Frost Caves which add in the Fenrir enemies and thusly, Fenrir Armor set (Which includes a dual wield weapon - though it counts as Fists so that one even confused me
6 - You are 1,000% correct here. The merchants are horrible and it's the most complained about thing in Valheim (Since the Portal options were made at least - that use to be number 1)
7 - Updates... Look at the updates we have gotten and what they've added. Now ask yourself, are several small, less impactful updates nice? Sure. Are the big updates that bring days of new gameplay and grind better? Absolutely! (It's heavily stated that the original Portal "No metal ores" settings were basically just a time-pad for the game and they noticed, and they made it a feature you can turn off or on in the Settings of your world)
8 - QoL - Several have been made... but a targeting reticle for Melee? Do your hands have sights? Scope mounts? No, they don't. Does the Bow (a sighted weapon) have a reticle? Absolutely. So why would your hands have a "Sight"?
9 - The game is anything BUT linear and is entirely sandbox. You wanna spawn into the Meadows and immediately run to the Mountains, The Mislands, The Ashlands? Go for it. The game won't stop you till you get there by repeatedly killing you and sending you back to spawn. (Just like any other Sandbox survival game)
10 - As far as crafting from containers. I agree, it's a little annoying to have to carry, and likely encumber yourself to make one item at a time, but that's "Realism" in an otherwise fantasy game.
11 - Mods - "Mods can't carry the game." Oh I beg to differ. There is a mod that completely transforms Valheim into a true RPG (and even one that adds NPC villagers that will help you just like say, Dragon Age (they are NOT smart LOL ))
I'm sorry to have to disagree with a majority of your comment.
This guy, I have 1800hrs played and I don't believe CptMarkka has played the game much.
Not viking survival game but best survival game of all time
It's a awsome game but you explore the same exact places everywhere you go it needs more pois to make it the best. That's why I liked 7 days to die the best.
What do you mean exactly by “you explore the same exact places everywhere you go”?
Every new Biome is a new POI in and of itself. And each has different things to discover. Up to and Including the Boss spawner.
@ozzdrake9335 ya but it needs more places to explore like castles, buildings, dungeons. The dungeons themselves like in the swamps all look the same. I wants some detail something that tells a story like someone or something lives there or once has lived there
Why is the thumbnail for the video of a different game?
It’s not a different game it’s just an artwork
Can you play solo and not multiplayer if you don’t want to get attacked by stronger, more experienced players?
Of course! Most of my playthrough is done solo and as an admin you can easily toggle PvP or pve within seconds. Valheim isn’t the type of game you go hunting for players (I promise you )
it is a valid statement
Fantastic game at the core - too bad the devs are complete loosers. Their development pace and Early Access badge abuse has made them a meme our grandchildren will be laughing at.
