This, IMO, is an almost perfect song and presentation. Probably my favorite Christmas song of the past decade. I love the completely unhurried playing of the acoustic guitar and piano...so understated, but perfect, as if every note was pondered and prayed over before the artists dared lay a finger on the string or key to pluck or press. In the veritable tidal wave of commercialized, glitzy performance driven music, even from Christian artists, the solemn, thoughtful yet tender presentation of these profound texts stands almost alone.
I bought this soundtrack as soon as I saw the movie in the theaters. I love this song. It is the real price everyone went through the nightly LORD and Savior was born. We sometimes romanticize that night, but it was rough on Joseph and Mary. God bless all of you. Jesus Saves
Sometimes it is hard not to think of the Bible as just a story. I mean we do tend to think of it as a "silent night", we like to paint what we want to see over what we don't want to see...
He is the main point, absolutely. However, this song is just a chapter within the full story of Jesus' birth. In fact, this album ends with his birth. I think it is a beautiful way to tell the big picture story of why Jesus came!

Jesus Saves
This is such an amazing song. I've always hated how inaccurate silent night was and this one really does well against the silent night.
truly an amazing song
I love it i heard this song at Christmas eve service. At my church.
Jesus’ incarnation is so important
Favorite version (it’s the original from the first BTLOG album). Great song.
Kathy H. Beautiful song, first time I've heard it, very good.

bornagain2day I totally agree. Even as Christians, we gloss over this.

How come the original 2004 version of the album is still not on Spotify, even though it's on other streaming services?
I think it might be nice to have another verse talking about Jesus' labor of love, since he's the main point?

I say amen to that@@sarahacurry
so much better than the borderline gnostic, heretical tripe of Silent Night
borderline gnostic, heretical? Do tell
