As expensive as they are, why on earth would you throw one away? Sell it, give it away, pass it on. The good ones can get up in the thousands. I bought my granddaughter one of the cheapest ones on the market, and it was still nearly $100.

You would never throw one in the trash for the amount you’d pay for an authentic, hyper realistic reborn. The best thing to do with a reborn doll after you’re done with it is to either sell it or donate it to a nursing home ❤

Levi is the most common reborn kit out there, it’s over used and some china factories copy it and used it as scam kits with toxic vinyl. Please be careful.
Just to clear a few things up for everybody when it comes to reborn you have to be extremely careful with where you purchase from there are many companies that steal artists work and illegally cheaply reproduce the kits that they stole you can never find a reborn for less then around 100 and especially not a silicone. The first picture is Levi but that does look like a cheap kit and not a real Levi. The second one is a real baby not a doll. There's many ways to tell such as the creases like in the arms they are to dark to be a doll and dolls tend to look more stiff and unnaturally posed. Reborn dolls also have cloth bodies where they are cloth in the middle and the head arms and legs attach to it like a regular baby doll because you can see the baby clearly has shoulders and isn't a reborn. There's much more information online about these dolls and scams and ways to stay safe. If anyone is looking for somewhere safe to buy I know many wonderful artists that make affordable babies and I also make them myself ❤️ Please never ever fall for the reborn for cheap. They are scams if you are looking for a reborn at an affordable budget they typically start around 200 for the real ones.
Right! But! There are full silicone or full vinyl dolls. So they also have a „real“ body and you can bathe them etc. I just about to order my very first Reborn 🎉❤🎉 and she is full silicone and not quite cheap ^^

The second picture that you shared you can clearly see the child has real arms real limbs and a real neck.

The only reason I have one is because last summer about a week before the first day of school my mom told me she had a miscarriage. The whole summer we couldn’t do anything because me and my little brother would be moving back and forth from my godmother’s house to my big brother’s house. They had also knew all along what happened but still didn’t want to tell us. We also didn’t know she was pregnant. My mom got me a reborn baby to help me cope with the lost of the baby. When the baby passed it was under developed. I remember one night at about 3 in the morning my mom was in the bathroom yelling and crying because of the pain. Turns out she was going into labor. My big brother came to get us so that we didn’t have to watch her suffer. Since she told me about the whole story a week before the first day of school, emotionally 5th grade was the hardest grade for me.

I‘m a PICU nurse and so I‘ve seen some dead and dying babies. I‘ve browsed the web for reborn dolls quite often and had to notice that a lot of those dolls look like they’ve been dead for two hours. The yellowish gray skin colour, they look waxy, it‘s honestly a bit scary. If a child came to my ICU looking like that I‘m not even sure we‘d start resuscitation. Probably just to be able to tell the parents that we tried everything. The ones in the video look quite alive tho.

It's not actually recommended or considered healthy for most people who lost a child. I can't remember why, anymore. Anyway, they are creepy and cool at the same time. I got one for my sister when she was 9. It was a Christmas gift. It was so cool and it was a boy. I was excited she wanted a boy because I always wanted a son and was so excited to check it out. It was pretty creepy but I almost kept it 😂 it was too expensive
