- I review the Chat GPT interface "AskYourPDF" in this video. I examine whether it is useful for academic research and scholarship.

It would be nice if you also reviewed services that are focused on tutoring of higher education, all kind of more complicated fields and subfields and use under the hood the best pedagogical frameworks to structure, simplify and group concepts so everything is easier to process and retain the information about some domain you are interested in self learning.

Hmmmmm.... that is a very good suggestion; however, I only have expertise in Arts and Humanities. So, I'm not sure if I would be very good at providing suggestions for science or technology. But I think you do make a very good suggestion regarding "the best pedagogical frameworks to structure, simplify and group concepts so everything is easier to process and retain." I will think about this and see if I can do this very thing.

@@UniversityAIed I will just say this...learning about formal logic to quite advanced levels and type theory, geometric algebra and projective geometry would take your art and understanding of reasoning as a meta skill to a level...that you can't even conceive.
Those disciplines I listed, if combined successfully, would make you skillproofed against AI and would help you make software in the art domain...software that beats Blender in simplicity while having just as much power but much, much more flexibility.
I also want to learn those areas of math and metalogical reasoning to be able to create software that most can't do today because they do not combine all of those disciplines. But to learn them I need help from an AI that actually has accuracy and does not hallucinate and can also provide evidence for his statements...So if you can find any competent AI tutors and can review them I would be incredibly grateful.
Or if you have some pedagogical ideas and pedagogical frameworks you want to share, I am also interested in that. Thank you again!

Your mention of formal logic and metalogical reasoning sound fascinating and I suspect the study of these subjects will help you a lot in your attempt to combine art, logic, and math.

Good question. I think that the interfaces with uploaded PDFs are very good. They allow users to examine the text in a way that goes beyond the narrative of the author. The interface (e.g., Ask Your PDF) gives the user the opportunity to query the document instead of reading it, or it supplements the reading. In this regard, this new way of reading is already a pedagogic innovation. It should help you in your studies. There should be some specific prompts that could be used in these interfaces to improve study or comprehension, but I don't have any magic prompts. I think just asking the interface to explain, elaborate, clarify, expand, etc.. is already very helpful.

Actually, there seems to be two different "Paper Digest" and one is still up, but the other isn't.
