I always learn something from your videos. This time it was the way you used the same blue & green for the image and around the edge. Brings it all together very nicely. Thanks so much 🇨🇦
Another marvelous share! I love my Prisma pencils. Color and watercolor pencils are my favorite coloring tool. The colors you chose are beautiful. Cute stamp also. I make my own cards but a while back now (over a year ago) I discovered the Secret Garden video you did and was inspired to start art journaling and am so hooked on Lavinia stamps now (my granddaughter and I are so into fairies). Also started using texture paste, stencils, and different types of pens. But also have to add a favorite of mine to all my work, glitter! Thank you so much for sharing your passion with us.
Hello Rachel... I'm always delighted to see a new video from you... I'm loving the fun, airy feel of this journal page and it's still Spring for another month! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us! Have a great weekend!
I was looking for something completely different topic wise to watch, scrolling, minding my own business, and here I am. Sucked me right in. I love love this page! Gorgeous work!
I just totally admire your artwork. Gives me inspiration like few others do here on YT. It's almost unbelievable how you choose your elements and I think they won't work but they never fail to end up beautiful. Wish I could pick your brain in an effort to gain some of your artistic talent!
Hi, I've been watching you for some time now and always enjoyed your work, very beautiful and easy to understand the process. I took your idea about keeping an inventory of your stamps, and I now have a notebook with all my stamps in it and their locations in my craft room. What a difference and I did not remember half of what I had, so now the inspiration is really good when I look at my book and can visualize a card or journal page.... I want to thank you for the craft room decluttering what an incentive for me to get organized..... thanks again and keep up the videos, love to watch....
Your're so clever! I love how you stamped on printed paper...that's something I need to do more. Your colors and coloring skill are amazing. Love watching you create. TFS.
Beautiful page Rachel! Thanks for the tip on the colored pencils, I just got my first set of Prisma a few months ago. So good to see you back on here. Take care!
I just love your tutorials. please keep them coming. you are such a help for beginners like myself. your work is simple (not complicated) but has a lot of style. sometimes less is more and some journalers tend to overdo things but your style is my favourite....thanks again from Australia :)
Love this page!! (BTW It's the second time I've notice the French Ultramarine being much darker than the case top indicates.) I love how the Prismacolor Pencils give a water color look without watercolor on your page! I'll have to try repeated light layers!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
As always, another beautiful inspirational page! I watched all your destashing videos and had wanted to ask and/or comment but my desktop computer died and I hate typing on my tablet, but here goes... I didn't see any Lavinia stamps shown either in your buckets or in your binders and was looking forward to seeing what you had. I have seen you use some in some of your previous videos. Also, I would love to see you share some projects showing different ways to use fantasy film. Another thought I had when watching the destashing was maybe put a small prompt box together with prompts for products to use like the bags, puzzles, tins, boxes, etc. I too had watched L Weirich's destash and started my own, but do not have the space that you both have nor quite the amount of supplies that you both have. My supplies are in my dining and living room s in cabinets and bookshelves. Wish I had a space that I could leave an unfinished project. out and not have to pack it all up. Some day...-I can always dream. Thanks for sharing your talents!
Thanks! My Lavinia stamps were all staying, so I guess that's why you didn't see them, sorry about that. Having a dedicated space is definitely something I'm grateful for. Hope you get one eventually :-)
Beautiful as usual. I'm wondering how you create. Do you plan ahead, get a thought, get out the items you'll use and go or do you do it on a whim? No videos for a bit, hoping you are on vacation and enjoying life. I love your work. I enjoy how genuine you are and I know because you cleaned out your entire art room in front of the world and that is a task. I know because I have one. I enjoyed that experience with you. God bless!!
Thanks Caroline. To answer your question, sometimes I have a sort of plan or idea, but other times I just go with the flow and see what develops, so a bit of both really :-)
Joyous! Knew from the get go this was early Spring since you still have a fuzzy jumper on- lol! What size cut n dry foam have you found best? Hard to tell if it's 1"x1" or maybe 1" x 1.5??? TFS
The only advice I can give is to keep all of your layers really light until the very last layer, then use your lightest colour to burnish them all together. That's how I do it anyway.
It is a beautiful page!!!
Thank you :-)

Delightful.
Beautiful art! Love to view your start your finish. Question: how much time did this page actually take?
It was probably a couple of hours :-)
Joyous! Knew from the get go this was early Spring since you still have a fuzzy jumper on- lol! What size cut n dry foam have you found best? Hard to tell if it's 1"x1" or maybe 1" x 1.5??? TFS
I just cut random pieces off, it's probably about an 1" square I guess :-)
Bello
Pretty page and color. In the time lapse it showed how the color changed from dull to bright but didn't show how. Can you tell me how?
Must just be a change in lighting that you can see, there were no additional steps that were not recorded
Did you use Gamsol or mineral spirits to smooth out the pencil? One minute it looks rough then the next blip it looks very smooth..?
No, it's just the blending effect you get after several layers :-)
Really? I've been doing colored pencil for years and the only way i get that effect is with Gamsol... go figure.
The only advice I can give is to keep all of your layers really light until the very last layer, then use your lightest colour to burnish them all together. That's how I do it anyway.
