I don't know why Nathan is removing that mod. It was a cool, as I said in a reddit post (that wasn't got approved yet, even if I posted it yesterday) it's probably a part of the Nathan's mods lore, but still weird. You can use the mod compared to me, so have you noticed anything else that was added by the update ? Edit : I did see what is writed in the console.
