Beautiful to watch. Feels like yesterday that we finished 4th and steam rolled everyone. Little glimpses of what were about came through at the end, but problems reoccurred too often to challenge for anything higher. That useless tour of America started all the problems. Losing Murphy (attacking option) and then Callum and pope didn’t help. The two joes never got going anyway and had bad seasons. Pope was our rock and we he went we fell apart. If not for Bruno’s passing forwards we’d have finished bottom half. Schar was utterly brillaint. But Wilson’s goals was a huge huge miss. I think the side will stay together for now. Attacking player is an absolute must never mind defence. If we want to see anything like 100 goals again or half if that, we need to improve on the attackers. Even without Europe. Also, Kieran and Bruno need to work out if they coming or going which we won’t know until after the Euros. So.. it could be a painful summer tbh.
I’m sorry but I disagree on the Bruno opinion he in fact lost us the many of times due to holding the ball for too long in dangerous positions and he just wasn’t really getting going
I’m really surprised that the club hasn’t put out a video like this I get that the season wasn’t incredible by any definition, but we scored more than 100 goals, that’s certainly worth it I think
85 goals in the PL , our best in The PL era? .. The record for a top flight season 98 goals fun fact : we scored 100 in the 2016-17 Championship season ( league + cups ) but what is our actual record, for a whole season, league + cups ?? ! ( in top flight )
