This is so cool. I think I'm acrually most impressed by the precision and restraint required to FREEHAND grind each piece to multiple perfect 45⁰ angles without any of them being even a single degree over or under. I'm 100% certain if I attempted that I'd fail every time. But you apparently nailed it and the piece came out looking so beautiful.
Glass art is perhaps the most fascinating of all the art forms, it requires a very specific set of skills like nothing else does, because of the mature of the material, glass is one of the most difficult materials to work with. You are very talented my friend, and I know how long it takes to become skilled at creating art with glass. Having been into Lampworking for some time, I know that it takes time to become good at it. So, I applaud you and your accomplishment. This piece is stunning to look at. Glass is a very beautiful medium, especially in the hands of a master artist, my personal favorite is Dichroic glass, I love the color it brings to the medium!
Finally, someone working with glass who wears protective gloves. It amazes me how many people on UA-cam & etc, but don't wear PPE. That all aside, this piece is quite beautiful and I would love to attempt something similar someday.
Awesome work!!! I'm manufacturing engineer / machinist and I've done some gem cutting on the side. Awesome to see your skills cutting and polishing these pieces by hand. Looks great.
Very cool. Fyi when you scroll through videos on mobile, some videos let you drag the time marker and see all of the video and the results without clicking on the video. I honestly did this, admired the results, and was about to continue on without ever clicking your video or running an ad. Idk if youre already aware of this but other channels seem to disallow the ability to move the time marker until you actually click on video. Might get more clicks if you find that setting (or maybe its already set how you want it idk up to you)
We’re currently developing one that will use a specialized dichroic coating that will allow us to do a full cube. We still have some experiments to do before, but if it works then it’ll be the closest thing to a real tesseract
I'm pretty sure some ultra-terrestrials are going to tear open a dimensional hole in your workshop to steal this for the core of their world engine. I was getting actual chills and goosebumps while you were gluing the pyramids together. The prismatic shimmers rippling across those pyramid steps was motor-boating my brain lobes. Thank you for doing what you do!
*An Idea!* It would be neat if you could etch some designs on each pane of glass that reveal one whole object once its all put together. Ever since i watched in the movie "Contact" with Jodie Foster i always thought the 3D blueprint would be super cool to make.
The moment he is finished aliens show up. Yeah it's a weird requirement but gold glass tesseract is one of the key development points of a society. Lol you guys are technically able to join the galactic federation 😅
ever messed around with any of that Banas glass? they make uranium glass billets. i am currently obsessed with the blue uranium glass, and have been laminating it with HXTAL to dichroic with patterns etched into it. doing business with Banas seems sketch, bank transfers and whatnot... but they come through in the end.
The overall thickness of the 4 quadrants would have made the doppler absorption of light more visible, if it was clear glass, but amber glass is a great start.❤
that's the most straight-to-the-point video I've ever watched in some time. guy said what he's gonna do and did it.
I crave one of these that's like... blue, or green, or red...
Yellow was a beautiful choice. Purple.
Oh god I'll need a full set.
thanos spotted
We’ll be making more colors hopfully soon!
@@JB_Arts How much does a piece like this costs?
Blue, green, Red and Purple...
PFP checks out.
@@danthespaceman9747 jep, yellow is the chaos G of order, or Σ as in function. Edit: Age of Sigmar SigmaR ΣR
love it, like the collor choice as well gives it a great 80's vibe
Ikr. Love the throwback color. ❤
They remind me of glass bricks used in many 80s bathroom projects 4:29

I think each pyramid on its own looks really pretty
This turned out stunning. I love all the edges and planes. It’s fascinating to watch as it spins.
For anyone wondering, the music used in this video is (in order of appearance):
Analog Dreams - Blue Saga
Lennon Hutton - Unfinished Stories

Modern art that actually makes sense
would love a small one in blue
This is incredible. Simple glass turned into a magical object !!!
Not magical, optical
Beautiful!
I appreciate that the video was short. Went straight into the work and process of how it was made. :)
That thing is so sooo f*cking stunning looking!
Thanks!
That looks really beautiful. I could see a whiskey glass looking like that could get a good price.
Beautiful work. It would be great to see more of the finished product at the end. Top effort.
Yea I’ll have to leave more of the end product next time. I’m used to editing for tiktok videos so I have a habit of cutting things too short haha
Awesome work!!! I'm manufacturing engineer / machinist and I've done some gem cutting on the side. Awesome to see your skills cutting and polishing these pieces by hand. Looks great.
Man, that thing is amazing. Congratulations on being a master of your craft
Definitely worth the time and effort....very cool effect
thanks for sharing
Well Done! A very effective illustration of multiple dimensions.
Eine beeindruckende Arbeit , mich hat fasziniert wie die geschliffenen Teile zusammen passen . 😊
Short too the point with great explanations great video
Glad you liked it!
It definitely deserves a museum to welcome it 😍
This just looks amazing!
Loved your art man!
This reminds me of jake storm's art, I love cold glass art so I hope you keep at it.
Nice! I've seen this piece in person... it's really interesting how it messes with your sense of depth and perspective.
Yes it has a really interesting effect with depth! Hopfully when we make a full cube it’ll be even better!
Man, does this looks incredible!
ngl I got How It's Made vibes from this, especially the shots at the end
(this is a good thing)
Brilliant and no filler doesnt get any better..

Great way to help people understand and visualize 4D
mind = blown i am amazed, it is so incredibly awesome!
Mesmerising cube.. Beautiful!
That's the largest flatlap I've ever seen! I've seen 36in rocksaws, but never a polishing tool of that scale. Beautiful creation, I want one...
Thank you for showing us your technique to apply thermal paste effectively
Man, that's nice work!
It's really pretty.
Bravo. This is beautiful and so cool.
awesome result.
keep up!
Dude that was AWESOME!
Big questions now.... What if you did another one with dichroic glass?
We’re currently developing one that will use a specialized dichroic coating that will allow us to do a full cube. We still have some experiments to do before, but if it works then it’ll be the closest thing to a real tesseract
Fantastic piece!
Looks dope!
I would luv to see this design in something the was at least 2-3 stories high, in a lobby, niteclub or even the Sphere in Las Vegas. 🤔
That would be cool!
Amazing work! This should be so beautiful to have!
Beautiful work.
That’s very cool. I’m impressed you could grind down a perfectly 45 degree angle.
Thanks! Takes a ton of practice haha
amazing piece!
I was just going To scroll to the end to see what a tesseract was, but ended up watching the whole video. Very cool.
I'm glad to see this in long form
Could you cut out the center of each pane? I think that would really add to the effect. Love it regardless!
Possibly! We’re working on something like that, hopefully it’ll produce a cool effect!
YOO THIS IS AWESOME! I LOVE PYRAMIDS
it's pretty darn alluring
and I thought making stained glass D20's were hard LMAO this was incredible! absolutely stunning work!
Amazing work! 😮
Amazing work!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's beautiful! Could you make one out of one way mirrors next?
😳 Absolutely beautiful. Liked and subscribed.
PS that should be on display in a national science museum. It's the perfect interesction of art and mathematics.
Whatever it is, it's wonderful.
Brilliant and stunning
great work, amazing.
Nice!
I did something similar but with 10mm clear acrylic and resin stacked to make a 300mm thick window for Australia's only nuclear reactor.
@@tihzho very cool!
That's pretty cool. I would have left a larger void in the center to accentuate the 4D cube effect, but otherwise really cool!!! ✌️😎👍
Aww..Awesome! I like it💯
😁✨👌🏼
Hm, imagine if the faces or bases of those pyramids were made of mirrored glass, so it forms an infinity mirror...
Working on those!
Incredible !!!!
Just beautiful! Do you sell these? I would like to buy one!

I whish I could afford something like this, it is so beautiful.
Very cool volumetric sculpture.
Fascinating. 👍🏻
You're missing a dimension, but close enough. Nice work. Looks magical.

@@hugh_jassothat’s something I’ve wanted to do with this for a while! We’ll probably do that sometime soon.
love a good hxtl cube
Nice work, man! How about closing the open sides as well, not with full pyramids of course, just a plate to cover the opening?
Amazing!
Well, it's probably as close to one as we'll get. Very cool!
I love glass but it also scares me so terribly. This is gorgeous.
Good morning 🌅, very interesting, a great idea, Art , from France
Thank you!
Beautiful and subbed! Cheers
My father used to make these beautiful leaded glass lamps.
what does he do now?
You've made a projection of a tesseract. Can't blame you because you've been crafting it in 3D only.
The moment he is finished aliens show up. Yeah it's a weird requirement but gold glass tesseract is one of the key development points of a society. Lol you guys are technically able to join the galactic federation 😅
Was the fifth pyramid a back up? Unless I'm crazy I see only 4 in the finished design.
@@J.G.H. I was gonna add it but it made the inside too dark preventing any light for showing the internal optics. So I decided to leave it out
God DAAAAAAMN that's a cool piece
That is beautiful.
Build four more pyramids and attach them to all four flat sides of it
I'd love one of these in my room :O
Love it!
Very beautiful.
really curious what happens if you hit it with a very bright and focused beam of light in a dark and hazey room...!
Wow It looks like an IRL Destiny Engram
gorgeous

I was wondering if it would have looked as cool alternating clear vs. amber
Super cool!
That's beautiful
i love these things
Big
Shiny
Complicated
and with no purpose whatsoever
Beautiful
