    How does 'one whistle' or 2, 3, or '4 whistle' really relate to the duration of cooking? If the burner flame is high, the duration between whistles will be short and, conversely, if the flame is low/medium, it will take longer time between whistles.
    It would be much more meaningful if the instruction specifies how many minutes at low, medium or high heat.

      Generally it's medium flame, low or high would be specified separately
