Can we take a moment and give the model a much deserved applause 👏 ❤
Thank you 4K! You don’t know how much you be saving my life with these lighting videos 🙌🏾
Love watching the growth and the transparency about using whatever works instead of selling merch. You and the model worked well together and the lighting tips really provide great info and ideas for studio work. Great video bro.
Tommy, the edits at the end of the video was my favorite! ha-ha! I really liked your easy to follow, laid-back attitude. The skin tones and backdrop were a perfect match. And props to the beautiful model! I am happy to say you found a new subscriber. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! Welcome to the channel!
Yooo this is really great, I appreciate you for this I was amazed as you were adding each lighting🤩🤩 it’s a big difference

Great presentation and information
So helpful! Loved modeling for you!
You're the best!
Great Job and Thank you for the advice on using that umbrella reflector as a fill light. Helps out a lot!
thank you! and yeah there's so many ways to use an umbrella
This is great. First time to this channel and really enjoyed how your presented the info. Love it.
Welcome aboard!
Love the breakdown in this
VERY INFORMATIVE VIDEO.! TNX FOR EXPLAINING EVERYTHING TO NEATLY AND ON POINT.!
so dope! thanks for the tips!
Great work and beautiful model. ❤
Good work, great video! 👌🏽
I like the use of the large umbrella as a fill light. I haven’t used it in this way, but like the idea, it’s simple enough. I don’t have an Eyelighter, but I do use a reflector the same way to soften shadows. Great video man!
thank you! definitely a new way to use it
Being a photographer I've had great results with this technique, I will send you the photos as soon as I am done editing
That reflector did its thang! The rim gave that separation. Shots are dope!
Thank you! That reflector is undefeated lol
I love when you upload. So much good stuff here.
Glad you enjoy it!
Dope transitions bro! Definitely subscribing!
thank you!
Bro this is awesome Great explanation on the light placement and use of a bounce board . It gives so much range control over how much you want to highlight your subject and bring out those special features.🔥🔥🔥
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic work!
All hits no misses! Thank you for these tips fr!
Love to bloopers too 🤣🤣

Great shots! Thanks for the information!!
thank you!
This is great, Tommy!
Thank you!
Dope video, love the content G!
Appreciate it!!
She's beautiful and you do her justice. It was so interesting to see what the fill light looked like on its own. I wish you would show what each light looks like solo so we can see what they each add to the picture.
Will do next time!
So proud of your channel growth ❤
thank you! and same for you
super helpful, keep these coming!

@@Tommy4k Hey what’s up Tommy I also meant to ask you so I just brought a godox light trigger but I don’t know what actual light to use for the trigger do you have any godox light recommendations for the the trigger to make it work?
thanks for sharing this really helped me out being a new photographer trying to set up my studio space... you have earned a sub !
Thanks for the sub!
oooh I have to try this! Thanks so much!

Amazing work bro.

Que fácil parece jajaja muy buen vídeo, gracias por los consejos, intentaré copiarlo!
Very dope bro! Happily a new subscriber!
Thanks for the sub!
The ending is soo funny lol super dope to see some candid bloopers
lol gotta show the madness behind the magic
Your videos are A1! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
The addition of that "over the shoulder rim" as a reflector was a great idea. It is always hard to meter a light and get just the right modifier.
Yeah man and you can just bring it forward and back to change the intensity of it
@@Tommy4k Cool. See you on the next Video, Brotha
J’adore vos vidéos
Awesome set up! Great photos. Is there a way to achieve this using constant dimmable lighting?
Nice video!

Phelix
Much appreciated!
Well done Sir!!!! New subscriber!!!!
Welcome aboard!
Perfect tutorial 👌🏼🇰🇪🇰🇪
Glad you think so!
Good job
Thanks for the info. Where did you get the backdrops from?
Heyy - Have you ever worked with a Sony ZV1 I’m having a hard time with settings for my darker skin and what light set up I should use for my UA-cam?
Is a strobe needed? I really like the beauty box you’re using and how your model’s skin pop.
As a teacher, I would have showed the audience the beauty dish without the fill light and the beauty dish feathered. I've seen other people feather, a beauty dish, and there were no harsh shadows caused by the harsh light coming from the beauty dish. I also would explain why you don't want harsh shadows on the background because you stated it as if it's an absolute do not want when it could be a creative, or preference based decision
great feedback, you should start a UA-cam channel and start teaching too!
@@Tommy4k hahaha I'm not ready but meant you as a teacher not me. Video is great but I can ask so many questions off this that I know I was asking when I started out or that I wanted to see so I understood why someone said " not to" or "should" which I then learned should be stated "I would suggest" because I was learning from people who taught photography as a "rule" based skill instead of creative freedom with awareness of technique
Teacher, it's shown not showed, and for "traditional " portrait demo, creative backgrounds cloud the issue... you can always make a teaching video on background creativity in the studio...
What was the camera and flash settings you used
Great walkthrough! What brand & size of catchlight reflector are you using? The difference that thing makes is massive.
just added it in the description!
The only “nit to pick” was the color shift of the background. It appears to me on an iPad Pro - to go from a a warm rich melon color to a a very lovely mocha brown! Perhaps I’m the only one seeing it, but I could easily live with both!
No doubt I loved the video tutorial as a new kid on a block learning how to do photography you help me a lot one question though what’s your go to lens?
thanks man! 24-70 f2.8 lens
Can you include the power of each light? You did that in some of your previous videos and they were extremely helpful. A lot of times we nail the set up but balancing the power of all the lights is also just as important.
gotcha! ill make sure to do that in future videos.
Preciate that! Can’t wait to see what you got for us next time.
Great video! Quick question, what brand is the C stand/boom arm combo that you have with the fill?
had it so long im not sure, but any brand c stand + boom will work
Great work as always. What if you don't have that type of space for that setup? What can you do to get the same quality.
ill be making a video on how to get quality results in small spaces
Some great content here! Next time please show side by side what the differences in setup look like as a final picture!
Great idea will do!
everyones skinnn is beautiful
thank you!
🔥🔥🔥
my dawg!
What's up bro? I have this same setup with a Xplor 600. Try cutting a small X in a tennis ball and putting it on the end of that umbrella pole. Makes the end of the pole more visible. Might save from a set accident.
Yo that’s a great idea actually!!
Hey man great tutorial... I am wondering why the resulting color of the backdrop is different in the pictures. I experience the same with the an orange backdrop turning brown. Is it WB settings and if so how can I do it to maintain the same exact color without having to fix it in post?
I think its because the model was brought few feet away from the background. He was exposing for the model and not the backdrop
İnteresting shoot
Where did you get the brown backdrop from?
My brother ❤❤❤ fire
thank you!
nice
what backdrop did you use ?
Dope video!! Got anymore photography hoodies?
Working on it!
🤩
Greetings I got a question slightly off topic. Have u used the projector gobo set up with the flashpoint 600 and if so, which one did you use?
no I personally haven't
Damn some beautiful final photos ,, how the hell you walk with all those lights tho lol
what power did you have each light?
Please do retouching tutorial
Are the lights on?
4 questions for you.
1. How much are those lights and the camera (+ lense)
2. What type of camera is that?
3. What are the brand names and model of the lights?
4. Why is the background color showing up as brown instead of orange.
5. Did you edit the pics the model you're showing us or are those pictures exactly how you shot them?
1. Roughly $5k
2. Sony a74
3. Godox ad400
4. The video is showing color from the house lights which aren’t color accurate
5. The only edited photos are the ones at the end of the video
