Etegami Picture Letters with Sumi Ink

Etegami means picture letter, from the Japanese 'e' picture and 'tegami' letter. Postcard-sized images are observed from life, drawn with characteristic lively lines of black ink, and painted with Gansai watercolor.
Etegami art is meant to be shared!
Supplies:
6G Gasen rice paper cut to 4" x 6" or 5" x 7"
Two CA1 Calligraphy brushes (one for ink, one for watercolor)
WC220 Gansai watercolors
Ceramic dish or plate
Water
Signature stamp with red ink (a red pen would work too!)

This is lovely! Question... If I don't want too user Sumi ink, what kind of ink would you recommend? Would Carbon Ink from platinum work? ( That's what I have)
