- Derek Chisora beats Otto Wallin by unanimous decision. In this video I react to their heavyweight boxing match before discussing potential fights against Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte and Deontay Wilder.
Instead of Wallin being overrated, there's also an argument that Chisora is perhaps underrated. Vitali Klitschko said Chisora was one of his hardest fights. Usyk said the same only a few years ago. Those 2 fights happened 8 years apart. Arguably he did better than both AJ and Fury against Usyk. Beat Takam more impressively than AJ. Beat Wallin more impressively than Fury. If you say Fury "just can't get up for fights sometimes so maybe he underperformed against Wallin", well surely the same can be said for Chisora in some of his losses. Sometimes perhaps he just underperformed and undertrained.
Derrick has only mainly lost to world champion vitial fury David haye Parker usyk kubrat even tho kubrat has a micky mouse tittle
@@AustonSpears-w2qfirst fight with Parker was extremely close too, I’d have given it a draw
@@DevinWilliams-yx4ij and he was winning against whyte until he got koed he might have one the first fight gave usyk problems I think he won against robbert h not that he’s a good heavyweight but one less loss on Delboy resume
Whyte 1 Parker 1 robbert h where all really close
Love this comment.
I remember Usyk saying in an interview, Chisora was the hardest puncher he's faced and it was like being hit with a bat loool. War chisora indeed.
Great take Henry....you are doing well
I would rather support a fighter than who loses every fight yet tries to win and fights every one than a fighter that doesn’t fight anyone he might have 13 losses but he’s not scared to fight respect Delboy
Derek is an absolute marvel; he's what fighting is all about: head space. Imagine AJ with Derek's attitude? I have to say, I'd be happy if he stopped now after last night's performance (I don't think Wallin has never been off his feet once as a pro). But, I think I know him enough to say he's his own man; and I believe fight 50 will be the end. The trick is to find the right opponent for him. AJ is his mate; though I'd love to see Derek plant the poster boy! Dubois, or some up and comer like Itauma or Wardley, is too much for him and (Wardley especially) would be dangerous. Dillian Whyte would be good because I think Derek should've got the decision the first time and he was ahead on the cards the second time when he got lamped. I think a real good show, especially for his last fight, and considering it would be a new opponent and another good slugger and perfect for ten rounds, would be Baby Miller: that would be a real barn burner.
Oleksandr Usyk said Derek Chisora was the hardest puncher he’s faced man Derek Chisora has power
Chisora described the fight perfectly before hand… That one judge basically has be the fight to Wallin, if Chisora only dropped him one he’d have it a draw right, crazy… Anyways my prediction is based off how good friends Usyk and Chisora is and Usyk is a fan, I believe Usyk has completed boxing, he will vacate two belts and give Del Boy a rematch for maybe the WBC belt… You heard that here first and anybody gives Usyk shit for that with everything he has done need to give their heads a wobble
Chisora Whyte 3 would be a good fight, why not give him a meaningful trilogy rather than fighting Fury again.
As for Wallin, I remember watching that Gassiev fight before he took on AJ. People were saying he'd be a banana skin, that hes good because he beat Gassiev... They didnt look anywhere near the top level. That said I didn't expect the demolition job from AJ. Calling Wallin a fringe world contender would be kind, he's no doubt a good fighter but he'd get ironed out at the top level. He just got battered by a gate keeper.
Del boi is insane, and impressive! All respect to him 💪.
Given Chisora's surely moved into the top 10 in the world after the fight why would a world title shot be so ludicrous? He gave Usyk more trouble than AJ and Fury , I wouldn't mind seeing that fight.
@@winnerwinnerchickendinner-y4w I’m not sure he’s beaten a top 10 fighter recently and I think a fight against a current champion would end very badly.
@@AGuyCalledHenry He's beaten top 15-20 guys lately in Joyce and Wallin (in my view) so arguably makes him maybe 10th in the world ; just saying its not as ludicrous as it sounds or sounded before these 2 fights.
I do agree if he fights Dubois or Usyk he likely loses emphatically
@@AGuyCalledHenrywàllin was ranked in top 10 and Joyce also
@@AGuyCalledHenry He’s beaten Joyce Wallin and Pulev. Clearly Joyce is past it, but we throw heaps of praise on Zhang for beating a clearly over the hill wilder and Joyce. And the same for Parker for beating wilder and barely scraping a points win on Zhang. Chisora in my eyes is right next to those guys
I think Chisoras constant attacks totally broke Wallins rhythm and he couldn’t put his plans to box into action. Much of the time, Wallin had no time to think. Thank god Derek was in top condition because his game plan needed supreme fitness and effort. Good job from Derek. Wallin is an AVERAGE journeyman heavyweight and not ‘too hard’ to attack against because he’s not a puncher that would bother Derek much. You’ll see Dubois do the same against Parker. He isn’t going to allow Parker any thinking time.
Chisora is the truest definition of heart in boxing! I honestly didn't think he was going to win. Thankfully Wallin can't punch through a wet paper bag to save his life but fighters like Chisora only ever hang up the gloves for good when the end up taking a brutal beating that ends a horrible KO loss. Hopefully nothing like this happens to Chisora because he's a really likable fighter!
In terms of attitude, heart, challenging themselves and entertainment there's an argument Chisora is one of the greatest there has ever been.
Wallin had no intention of fighting, the hyperbole of Chisora by Woodall and Dempsey was nauseating.
Anyone new to the sport would think the fix was in.
Not sure why the way Wallin fought ha s actually shocked anybody, Chisora said how the fight would go, I’ve watched Wallin before Fury fight an FB he’s a very good amateur styled boxer, but he is no dog and no real fighter
@@michaelhill2300listening to them sycophants you’d think Chisora had just dominated a former undisputed soon to be HOF 🤮
I kinda disagree with you guys about how bad Wallin is. I think he's probably Charles Martin level, which isn't amazing but is definitely above average. Like you said, Chisora has had a decent run of form. He's beaten a tank in Joyce, a veteran in Pulev, and a quick fleet footed guy in Wallin. He was barely getting hit. HE dominated Gerald Washington, who, while not the best boxer, is a decent athlete and has good power. Noone talks about how good Chisora's head movement or defence is. Just cause Tyson Fury made him look like easy work, let's not forget that he gave Usyk trouble for the first 6 rounds. People say he gave Usyk his hardest fight. And people think he deserved to win the 1st Parker fight and the 1st Whyte fight. He flatlined Carlos Takam, people need to put some respect on Chisora's name, this man is good. I think Chisora is a lot better than people give him credit for, it's just that his style is rugged and crude so it's not that endearing, But it's a lot more effective than people want to admit. Someone should review his whole career and all the bad decisions he's received to see what it would have been like if he actually got the nod. I think we might be surprised
I once saw someone say he was journeyman level, ridiculous.
The simple fact is you can't hang with the top guys for over a decade without being a seriously dangerous man.
He deserves a lot more respect for the great fighter he is. Guys like fury with a long reach and good boxing ability, and very explosive fighters like a David Haye are the only fighters I’ve seen have an easy night with Chisora
Winning and losing doesn't denote whether you retire or not. It's the long term brain damage.
Give it 10 years and let's see
Wallin has no heart of a fighter
Respect to Delboy for carrying on this run , Wallin is yes very average , I agree Derek does Deserve that 50th fight hope it's a good payday for him, surely be a UK Heavyweight , wait til 22nd is over they'll be a few big losers there , maybe one of them, just admire Derick Chisora 👌
That was a great fight
Wallin ain’t average, he is world class but not elite or top 10 - A top 20 heavyweight is still world class just NOT top tier.
Wallin is a strange fighter, if you look at Chisora’s face after the fight, there was a lot of damage. But he never looks like his punches hurt anyone. I think Wallin was overhyped simply because Fury was overhyped. Personally, I’d like to see Chisora flatline Wilder.
I thought he should have retired after the Agit Kabayel fight which in hindsight wasn’t a bad loss, as Agit has beaten Frank Sanchez and Makmadov, but the Kabayel fight was almost a decade ago, how he is in this Indian summer 🌺 in his career and beating all these top fighters, I was clearly a fool tbh and don’t know shit about boxing 🥊 lol 😂
I would like to see Derek retire, but ‘one more fight’ for a world title would be worth taking for the money.
He should fight Ngannou for a big last payday that won't be too damaging. Unlikely Ngannou can cope with that swarming style Chisora has but still carries enough power to keep it half interesting. Unlikely to land too much though...
i feel wallin learnt alot from that fight
Whyte would be the best match for me, good pay day for both of them but I think DC deserves a monster pay day and easy night against Jake Paul.
Mate, you bought into the AJ comeback. Bro! You have to look at who people beat recently and how
WAR ❤
Big Pharma Miller would be a Great Fight
The build up & Press Conference would be incredible
Miller would definitely wind him up
Secure the tables to the ground
They both just rumble forward and throw bombs
There is no way that could NOT be an amazing fight
The Whyte rivalry was brilliant
But they are far to chummy now
Miller will get him on a War footing again
Francis Ngannou will be a great fight for Him. In Africa 🌍
Just watched the post fight presser and he said he doesn’t want Africa now.
