I think the defence was bad this match because of the new tactics of kompany, but we also saw that his tactics work and created many chances in the first half. If the players get used to his tactics I think they will be in very good shape.

However, in Napoli and other Italian systems, it is very back heavy. If Minjae goes aggressive to intercept or disrupt the opponent, immediately CDM drops to Minjae position, and also other defenders less likely join the attack. In Bayern, the full back plays inverted, and so it leaves Minjae and Upa at the back. The problem with today's game is Sasha was very offensive, such that he was out of position. Even the 2nd goal, as a tactic there must've been an agreement between Minjae and Sasha that Minjae will pass it to Sasha, but Sasha wasn't looking at Minjae and thus trapping Minjae to pass it back. Although Alphonso Davis didn't seem to do anything, his defensive position was great today. Thus, there was no successful attack from the left side. In all, Minjae is a good defender but he needs to go somewhere else where he fits and succeed.
