Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a 2013 action-adventure game, and the sixth main installment in the Assassin's Creed series. A sequel to 2012's Assassin's Creed III, the game will see the player take on the role of an Abstergo Entertainment research analyst as they explore the story of Edward Kenway -- father to Haytham Kenway, grandfather to Ratonhnhaké:ton and an ancestor of Desmond Miles.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be set primarily on and around the islands in the Caribbean Sea during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century, with the three major cities consisting of Havana, Nassau and Kingston.

One of the more entertaining gameplays I've seen. Don't care much for stealth when you have action sequences like this. Nice job sir!
I LOVED this DLC. No bullshit "full synchronization"; no endless hunt for pointless collectibles that don't do a single fucking thing in gameplay; great coo-op moments with an NPC A.I; and freedom to play stealthily, loudly or a mixed style of both. More, Ubisoft!

I have to say, comparing this with brotherhood, this is way more fluent, the parkour is faster, It's just all around better. Don't get me wrong, Ezio is my favorite character from the AC franchise.

I loved playing as Aveline. Interestingly, the woman who does her voice is the same woman who voiced Cristina in AC2 and AC: Brotherhood.
I wish we could have a woman character as the main character in one of the main AC games. I'm tired of every Assassin being a guy. It's getting kinda boring, and it seems like the suits at Ubisoft think we can't handle playing a non-male character, which is kinda insulting.

Sadly, Ubisoft appears to be run by people who are maybe not misogynists in the literal sense (i.e. I don't think they actually "hate" women), but people who, even after 8 first tier AC games, don't consider women important enough to get a single game with a female protagonist. Their numerous thinly veiled attacks on the very idea of a female lead (the most recent of which was the ludicrous assertion that they didn't have enough resources to make female avatars for online play in AC: Unity) are mocked by the existence of Aveline de Grandpré, whose game (AC: Liberation) was so successful that they decided to port the game over from the Playstation Vita to the PS3 and Xbox.
And, as I alluded to earlier, their casual misogyny is not insulting just to women. As a man I'm insulted that Ubisoft assumes that men are such fricken Neanderthals that we can't even handle the minor intellectual stretch of playing as a female. If I can handle playing as Lara Croft in the game series Tomb Raider, I can handle playing as a female Assassin.

The thing I miss that the series has lacked since the first game is a sense of control as the player regarding the main narrative.
There was something refreshing about choosing how much investigations you would complete, how much you would let the side missions distract you. How much time and care you would bother to put into a "contract" was entirely up to the player and could be done in pretty much any order.
I know this is hard to replicate in the later games but seriously the
"Go here, do this, locate generic captain, follow and eavesdrop"

im going to get a lot of hate for this but I've played every assassin's creed game and in my opinion ezio wasn't that great sure within the 3 games you share alot of experiences with the character within the 3 games but after the ac 2 his story dies down and stops making as much sense and his character starts to lose his passion i love ac 3 because while outside the animus the story made absolutely no sense inside you learned Connors story and it made you want to fight for him and well ac 4 was just fun as hell and that ending was like the saddest thing lmao

This is Assassin's Creed 4. This was an exclusive mission on PlayStation. PlayStation has had exclusive missions since Assassin's Creed 2 which I see no purpose for. The excuse was PS3 had exclusive missions because BluRay discs can hold the extra memory but Xbox and PC were still able to get it thru free DLC.
