Zephyr should have used her stable lore!
In trauma centaur we follow a young centuar paramedic as she administer aid to the citizens of the first world after a rampaging party of human adventurer has shattered their lives and the innocent fey are trying to pick up the pieces and return to a semblance of normalcy...
But her love life is ‘all hooves’ if you know what I mean. On the CW this fall.
"Why does Talitha have more wounds now than when Ramius started?"
8:13 Francis screaming in the background killed me!
Did they take your belt...Skid, I love you man! You crack me up every time.
1:05:10 Joe and Sydney are right, the augur would have had to spend an action to get up from prone. "The only move actions you can use while you're prone are Crawl and Stand."
You forgot the first rule though, the DM is always right
@h0ckey87 Pathfinder is definitely not a "rulings not rules" ruleset. It can be unfair when a player understands a rule and it is overturned on a whim.
Isn't it immune to prone?
I also wanted to say that I love how Skid is role-playing the psychic class with the entity taking over when he unleashes his psyche. It's very fun. My current character in a campaign we are playing in our playgroup is has a similar thing going on, but we are using the free archetype dedication alternate rules and I have taken the Living Vessel archetype dedication, I think it might be an interesting option to take instead of a class feat for Skid to consider as a way to mechanically portray the entity physically taking control of Buggles if he were to fall to 0 HP.
Skid wearing that cape with the Michigan hat is kind of terrifying.
Such a meaningful scene with Brother Ramius and Buggles
these fan fumbles are really well done! I love that they're not just trying to be super punishing, they also change the flow of the battle in really interesting ways
Yeah I don't think there is a more universally loved and accepted feature of the pod than fan jawns
@@LoneWeasel By the Naish… less so by Skid! 😂
Some of the shots in the studio make the production value SHINE through! So glad to see this show in all its glory
I want to see the powers from the gate be used! Don't think I've seen it be used in forever
Coupla things about this episode I need to address...
1. This is another humble request for a Francis cam. I can't go another week without seeing him physically breaking down at the banter!
2. Joe roleplaying a smoker is *chef's kiss*. I'm making a red hot Naish prediction that this is part of Joe's journey to quitting smoking. If I'm right I'd like my reward for this insight to be bottlecaps for the whole table. Keep the economy strong!
Skid may be the ONLY one who might get this reference because Denver locals who listened to KBCO on Thanksgiving always heard the song "Alice's Restaurant" by Arlo Guthrie. But the mention of taking your belt when you are arrested reminded me about the line in that song where the cop takes the guy's belt and says " kid,we don't want any hangings" and the response was so perfect. Lol
Listening to the audio playback but came over here just to stand in solidarity with Matthew. Was it the 1987 revival script?!! Never stop being a theatre nerd Matthew, your fellow thespians are right there with you.
You guys decided to drop a banger combat episode, on my birthday?? For me?? The best naish a guy could hope for, truly.
Happy Birthday!
This is a great length for this show. I felt satisfied.
GUYS,
The opening theme? I just wanna remind you guys that you chose a SOLID BANGER; and it will never get old. Fantastic ear to pair something with Glass Cannon as a whole so well.
Thanks!
100%! Love that theme
Relate to Joe, I was also a super well behaved high school kido
Can confirm cast parties. What a special, wonderful, time.
Brother Ramius as the grizzled, smoking doctor is a goddamn gem.
“You’re killing her!”
That had me dying. I was using some power tools, and had to stop. Listen at your own risk.
Another great episode and the part has a great complement of characters in combat. Good stuff so far.
I need more. I'm all in on GCN pods and whatnot, but I still need more. Thanks to all the gang that make this show for us.
So many people get tickets for crossing a park innocently, and most judges indeed find those laws abusive and let it go. And I say that from Quebec, Canada.
Brother Rameus is now played by Allan Alda in my head cannon.
I can't never tell if Skid tells real stories or just jokes 😆
probably not the first to comment this, but Zephyr can still make unarmed attacks when she's wielding her bow. it requires 1+ hands which from the core rulebook means:
"Some weapons require one hand to wield, and others require two. A few items, such as a longbow, list 1+ for its Hands entry. You can hold a weapon with a 1+ entry in one hand, but the process of shooting it requires using a second to retrieve, nock, and loose an arrow. This means you can do things with your free hand while holding the bow without changing your grip, but the other hand must be free when you shoot. To properly wield a 1+ weapon, you must hold it in one hand and also have a hand free."
Also, monastic archer stance does NOT prevent her from making unarmed strikes, but making unarmed strikes does end her monastic archer stance.
She could hypothetically walk into a combat with her bow already readied, enter monastic archer stance with her first action, make a bow shot with the second, and make an unarmed attack with the third. No need to draw or stow the bow, and no need to waste an action to leave monastic archer stance.
I can't think of a single realistic situation in which she would WANT to take those actions in that order, but she COULD take those actions in the order, and the way she's been playing her character I think she'd assume she'd need at least 5 or more separate actions to perform that sequence.
This campaign has been brutal enough, and Kate deserves to get every last drop of action economy that the rules allow! Hope this info helps!
binge watched all day yesterday and today to catch up and I absolutely love joe's portrayal of brother ramius 10/10
Thank you!
Spinning ball = Phantasm.
I need an extended version of the opening theme for my games! It's solid like Snake!
Buggles is a BEAST!
i love the show i just caught up and binged the whole lot over a weekend. it would be cool to know what the progress of the show is in accordance to the remaster. stuff like aid being changed to dc15 and recall knowledge getting an overhaul to be more pc friendly would be good to see.
I just realized that Troy doesn't have noticeable verbal ticks that get on my nerves like most DMs I've watched. If he has any, I hope I never notice it.
The only repeated phrase he uses each episode is No. Hah
What sort of verbal ticks do you hear in other DMs? And who might they be?
That was epic. Wow. I want to be Troy Lavalle when I grow up!
Torn between "everybody bleed now" and "nobody puts Buggles in the corner."
Lovely bit of roleplaying about "home" between Joe and Skid--nice work guys.
Thanks!
Skid just waits and drops gold on guys turns
Sydney used a regular spell to recharge Spellstrike, you can only recharge it with Conflux spells, which are usually Magus Focus Pool spells rather than normal prepared spells (like the Force Fang she cast at the start of combat).
I need the healing scene animated.
Those dice ads rock!
You Rock!
They are rocks, gemstones to be precise :)
Joe was Butters lol!!!!
Augury, 2nd level cleric spell, AD&D 1E, determines Weal or Woe.
Finally, I've caught up!
Nice!
The best comment in chat was from Rodriguez mentioning that the skill Stable Lore could have been useful that time in light of the Centaur :P. It would probably have served mostly to taunt the Centaur with bad horse puns.
Oh I see Carlos Rodriguez did say it in the comments here too. :P
Loved this episode... TPK was so imminent... The fear really kicked in..
Was the centaur called Charlie.? Sorry I got confused with all the mention of Charlie horse..😅
Oh no, rainbow mountain charlie.
Hey Joe I never drank or did drugs either. Where we differ is that my friends that did drugs wouldn't offer me any because they said I was like I was stoned without drugs so they didn't want to see what would happen if they gave me any. I do have a couple stories about drinking. >_> Not gonna tell them online. Maybe I'll tell you in Denver if I'm not too scared to talk to y'all lol
Also just wanted to say love the show so far.
1312
I bought me some of them beautiful Syd Dice!!! Cant wait to roll em o7!!!!!
Nice!
Tallitha's fan fumble was very fitting. Nice
31:30 I appreciate the look at Troy's laptop (as a forever GM myself, I always love to look behind the screen!) but why is Troy using Archives of Nethys? Demiplane has the same information... is it easer to search AoN? Fanboy GMs wanna know!! =)
Love what you all do, thank you so much.
AoN might have the information he needed that Demiplane didn't have when they recorded the episode.
@@Avankiri No, Demiplane has everything. And they're a sponsor of the show.
I'm not trying to make accusations or make arguments, I'm wondering if there's some reason or if Troy has just been using AoN for a long time and continues to do so out of habit.
No real official rules on resizing. But I would argue that a Cantaur has a human torso... the breastplate/weapons would probably be medium logically while the cape would possibly be large.
*Watches the fumblepalooza and removes dice from cart* 😂😅😊
Or would it be Missapalooza?
I had twenty pairs of Joe dice ready to go ;)
I don't know if anyone else mentioned it in the comments already, but I heard it mentioned a couple or times in this episode that focus point spells or abilities were a per day resource, but they aren't. You can get focus points back with spending ten minutes of refocusing. And in the remaster you get all focus points back with only ten minutes of refocusing, so you don't have to spend ten minutes per focus point anymore. So it's more of a per encounter resource than a per day resource, unless you have to rush to the next encounter. Don't want you guys crippling yourselves unnecessarily!
That is not quite right. You have to spend 10 minutes per focus point, but you can restore up to your maximum. Pre-remaster you could only restore a maximum of 1 of your focus points even if you spent 2 or more of your pool. Only feats allowed you to restore 2 and later 3 focus points. In the remaster there is now a feat that does what you said, as in you restore all of your focus points for a 10 minute refocus activity.
@bischiboschi7335 yes that is right, thank you for the correction. That is what I had meant but I don't have access to PC1 atm and had forgotten the exact ruling. But either way it is more frequent then once per full rest
I wonder if we'll ever see Troy without a hat
It happened not too terribly long ago, but I don't remember which program is what for. It was unsettling.
Personally, I find having your shoelaces and glasses taken away when you're incarcerated MUCH worse than losing a belt, Skid. At least, that was my experience.
Being fully healed ends bleeding
As an aside, MC Chris is still around making music, in case anyone was wondering.😊
Im totally naming my next pathfinder character magpie mapleton
Good bant y'all
I'm a little disappointed we didn't get to see Syd and Kate's bad high five at 57:03
The good Brother needs the Guidance cantrip. A good way to use a handy spare action and it gives a nice +1 to a roll.
Getting all the low rolls out of the way?
These focus spells scale up in damage, much like cantrips?
Yes. Focus spells are always auto-heightened, like cantrips, and damage spells do extra damage as they heighten.
I’ve never seen a round with worse rolls than what they did this episode lol holy hell
awwww, land keith
Got fined £100 for drinking in public, was going to run out on it until i realised there were police around the corner and i had £200 of weed in my bag. Took the ticket.
ONLY BREAK ONE LAW AT A TIME
My father who has been a potter for 60+ years says "kill" for kiln. Maybe an Ohio thing. He also adds R's to words like washcloth or washington.. so who knows
Rules comment: I believe Treat Wounds is a once per hour action. Once attempted, successful or not, the target is immune to this action for 60 minutes. Treatment can continue for an hour to double the healed points. Sounds like Joe is rolling Treat Wounded every 10 minutes? Regardless, loved the healing scene with his crit fails on Matthew! :)
He may have taken Continual Recovery as his level 2 skill feat?
I know Troy *said*, "Zephyr the Bowless," but I *heard*, "Zephyr the Bolus."
I can only hope that one day my son will be as honorable as Joe was/is. Lawful Good to the very end
Isn't negative damage healing?
It'd be funny if there was a whiteboard with a camera on it and someone occasionally scrambles over to scribble potential episode titles as they arise
Listening to all the alcohol horror stories is so otherworldly for me as someone who grew up in Europe (Germany) 😅 as long as you are not drinking and driving, no one really cares. Unless you are obviously under drinking age (16) and even then it’s mostly like … meeeh what ever. Haha very enjoyable banter again
I just got the dark eye. The mechanics look great with a huge skill list. Hope I am not disappointed. Cheers from Canada.
Noted: Joe rarely celebrates his succeses. Not bemoans his failures or even potential failures
Is it just me or did Buggles' voice get deeper for a bit?🤔🤔🤔
So, killing the auger does absolutely nothing because it just revives and gains a full turn. Am I reading this right
50:00 Okay this ad is hilarious. I don't want any Joe Dice!
Thanks!
Stabling lore. Centaurs have two rib cages.
So they have plenty of spare ribs?
Kate’s def killed a guy
Not sure if someone won the Buggles inspiration contest: David from Legion?
Did Brother Rameus (sp?) pick up continual recovery? Otherwise the treat wounds should have taken a lot longer after the centaur fight.
Yee, in ep 15 around the 1hr 11 min mark - takes medic dedication and continual recovery when they hit lv2
@granolafan7186 Great. I remembered Medic dedication, and it certainly makes sense... just in the moment I hadn't remembered and it seemed like they didn't spend enough time for the checks. Thanks for the clarification.
You’re welcome.
It's crazy to think Joe ever looked like a nerdy loser. He looks like a chad!
Oh wait.. I just realized.. if that centaur went down with a mix of lethal AND nonlethal damage.. she isn’t dead.. she should wake up after a while feelin gross, Right? I’m not mixing that up with 1e.. Is uh.. centaur chick still alive?
That is 1E, 2E simplifies the tracking by only caring if the last hit is non lethal to not kill an enemy. It’s a common house rule to invoke the old 1E non lethal tracking for groups who care more about non lethal but the GCP has been playing pretty RAW so far.
American cops are nuts. But you know land of the free...
Really glad this network is giving convicted felons like Sydney a second chance.
At the beginning of the should the creatures have done a Tumble Through action to move through the players? That has always been unclear for me.
Centaurs have the ability Trample, which allows them to move through medium or smaller.
Augurs are Tiny, so they can move through any size.
Damn I was hoping for a character death 😢
That's mean.
@TheGlassCannon Haha, definitely mean for sure. But I do look forward to seeing more from these characters tho ❤️

Velstract = Kyton! Used to be known as chain Devils in 3.5. Badasses. Not nice!
Hey, I'm guessing someone already caught this but centaurs are a unique situation with their size and weapons. They are large, but their top half is still normal human proportion therefore their weapons are medium. Also, what's a flat check? (I'm sticking with 1e, wink.)
All these close calls and false alarms with cops are a reminder of just how white the cast is lol 😅
All love and respect, but I've ONLY been arrested when the cops have stopped me, regardless of circumstances, and ive never had a judge throw out a ticket.
Fucking typical. Hope you're well
