Thank you so much for this video. Very informative. I have a Pet Tarantula that has been on a hunger strike (even after her molt she hasn’t eaten) she started acting scared of the crickets. I can’t find Dubia cockroaches locally and seeing how she normally only would eat one cricket a week I didn’t want to buy a lot. So today I went to a local pet shop and bought 12 mealworms. I was so happy she caught it and at this moment she is eating. Yay. I appreciate your video now I know thanks to you how to keep them alive. Looking forward to watching your Glider videos. Brenda 🤗
Do we need to cover the box while keeping in refrigerator, as we use the same refrigerator for our own food, so will it be safe, like in refrigerator gases get circulated from one stuff to other, so really concerned.
Hi GoldenAge :) They cannot be spayed, only the males neutered and no, they have a normal animal smell but smell nothing like a ferret or something like that. We recommend TPG Fresh Diet. Feel free to email me at elizabeth@thepetglider.com for more Starter Info :)
I saved a baby songbird thrush from the Jaws of a neighborhood Tom. She's bren eating the dry worms. I bought these from amazon. But no instructions whatsoever. I have never bought these before. I had sliders when I was in California, really don't remember what I fed em. It was probably meal worms. I am creeped out, but seeing u handle them, I can do it. I had np clue even how to store them. My bestie is still in California. She just said fridge. Me of course, does homework & research. Thanks for all this info. But you said they later turn into beetles? Will this juvenile thrush eat them? I'm assuming the mother already fed her all this. I'm just a month late. She's almost an adult now.
When I buy them from a pet store they come in a container with mealworm bedding. Is bedding necessary if you’re putting them in the fridge? Should you take a portion out and put them in a small container with bedding?
We don't recommend the store bought mealworms because they can contain corn bedding which can lead toa risk of aflatoxin poisoning. We recommend using only our mealworms (www.thepetglider.com) because they are in wheat bran only. Its the only way to get safe mealies :)
I was at youre store a few days ago whit my dad and on Saturday I'm coming agian to get 2 of you're classics can you remind me the price for two please
In a reply below, you actually told someone to not buy mealworms from any store, only buy mealworms from you? Seriously? I now know where I won't buy from.
No special tricks, we just pick out the black dead ones by hand! It may take a little while if you have a lot of dead worms... Best way to avoid this is unboxing them immediately upon delivery. In the summer months they will be exposed to more heat during shipping and you will probably have a bit more arrive dead. I would get expedited shipping and make sure that you check your delivery emails so they aren't sitting in the mailbox! When you layer your worms, avoid making your layers too deep so they don't suffocate. And if you have the worms in your fridge for an extended period of time, make sure you bring them out every 1.5-2 weeks to feed them again and give them enough nutrients to survive for a longer time
@@Thepetglider thank you so much for the information I'm having trouble keeping the pupae alive after a couple weeks they just die not sure what I'm doing wrong
How do you feed the blue bird with them
Its like a cooking channel for pet owners Cx

So helpful and very underrated, thanks a lot! I’m trying to take care of my mealworms so I can keep feeding my demanding ants.
I got some live meal worms as treats for my rats and this helped!
042023 at 1628 hours... Thank you, a very helpful video.
Recorded with a rock.
Cyanide, kinda true
No. With a potato.
Her : mealworms cant bite you
me : i also dont want to bite that
What kind of lid do I need to put on the box to hibernate them? Like does it need holes?
You do put a lid on that before you put them in the fridge, right? I put mine in 2 inch of oatmeal.
How did you get them so large ?
I feed then oats and cucumber for hydration. They grow way too fast for me. They're gross lol

Your not going to put those in with your food i think.
That was really helpful for my problem❤
Once in the fridge and cold, how long do you have to let them sit out before you can feed them to your gecko?
I think just feed them to them when your gecko is hungry I don’t know as I am keeping tarantulas
I'm pretty sure you can just feed them all the refrigeration is doing is making the meal worms take longer to turn into pupils
i was very curious on how to do this thank you !
Fish Wish same lol
her: dont those look yummy and delicious?
me: no.
So how do you rehydrate them? You feed them apples? I wasn't totally clear on that.
Do you have someway to chat? I started to write a message, but it was way too long.
Я на ваш канал попала благодаря Наташа Фальконе, она тоже блогер, только русскоговорящий😉
You need a cover on that while in fridge so they dont crawl out and into my meatloaf and give me worms are they?
quick questiong about sugar gliders: do they smell bad even if they are neutered/ spayed and given a balanced diet? Im thinking about getting 2

ok, i would put them in my fridge, but i have a mom
😂😂
How could can they get and still be safe and alive?
Could u pl inform me how do we transpor live meal warms in high temperatures areas
Can they reproduce without turning into beetles or do i have to go online and buy mealworms again
they have to turn into beetles first
Can you plzzz show how to pick them up because im to scared to, but i have a bearded dragon.
You can just grab them between your fingers, you can do it! They aren’t slimy or anything, and they don’t bite
When putting in fridge, no lid?
can you use tomatoes instead of apples
I use cucumber on top of their oats. Cucumbers hydrates them and they love it. They grow too fast for me though..eek
Pwede ba magbili nyan
What if I want to feed them to my tarantula?

Do you need to put them in the fridge
I got some for my gals and this rlly helped especially as you have to kill them first so they got to a good size
WOW-mealworm lasagna! Cool
I am SO squeamish I gotta get over it

Mealworms are kinda tasty
He I'm thinking about buying from you which one is the cheapest glider and cage pls tell me
Gliders aren't a cheap pet but a pair of Cage Mates would be about $499 and a cage bundle would be maybe $200-500?
I bought about 50 mealworms last week, but they all died. How do I store them since they are dead.
Perhaps freeze them, or maybe sun dry them
They hibernate when you placed them in the refrigerator. Let them outside at room temperature and they come back to life
Hi how much 5000 mealworms.
Wow. Totally believe the description when it says comedy! 😑 you are interesting. Really though, nice vid
Thank you!
U make mine craft vids
What are "Gliders"?
Is there any possibility to get a live meal worm sample to Sri Lanka?
Not coming your house for a BBQ now

How do you remove dead mealworms from all the live ones?
