I have just changed my kitchen using DC fix. Didn't even think of stairs as mine need doing but after watching what you did I def will do it. Great job there
Thanks so, much hope it turns out well. 👍🏾
I just stumbled across this and I am loving it, that is so creative. Great job. I love the silver paper used on the steps great design,
Aww thanks so much, means a lot ❤️
Looks nice but it’s a bit of a safety issue with such a slippery surface
Thankyou. That’s what I thought, but it’s actually been ok, not as slippy as it looks. X
You're giving me some cracking ideas 👍 love it
Aww thanks so much ❤
Hi, just got round to doing my stairs and id love to show you. Is there any way I can? Many thanks for your ideas ☺️
Oooh nice. You can contact me via my Instagram or email thatartisticchic1@gmail.com look forward to seeing it x
How is it holding up? Any scratches/tears/lifting ?
It was still fine, no issues with tearing. I got ended up changing to a darker wood stain one as I was fazing grey out my house. Vid is up on my channel too xx
Can you use this on the bannisters?
I guess you can, you would just have to cut to size and make sure you get all the air bubbles out 👍🏾
What about kids going down in socks? Isn't it slippy or dangerous?
My kids are bare feet mainly in the house as they prefer to be, but I’ve had socks on and gone down the stairs without any issues. 🤷🏽♀️
It's gonna get tears with shoes, heels, soccer shoes... No?
We don’t wear shoes in the house, and my kids have brought toys up and down the stairs without it causing any scuffs etc.
Before I do this, how does it hold up under wear and tear?
Hi, I kept mine on for a year and changed it to a wood tone one. I didn’t use a hoover on mine just wiped it with wipes just to preserve it longer as it is easy to scratch. I heard some people sealed there’s for a longer last as well. Hope this helps 👍🏾
@@Thatartisticchic Thanks! I used actual mactac as a counter cover in the bathroom downstairs and used Polyurethane to cover and it has held up for years. I used DcFix in the upstairs bathroom without the coating and it has been fine. I may try it on the stairs (wood grain) and use a Poly cover (or transparent stair treads to lessen the "slip") and see how it goes. Thanks again!
@@DM-Canada No problem, oh ok sounds good, let me know how it goes 😁
Does this even last...
It can last long if you seal it and use wipes to clean stairs as the hoover can scratch it. I didn’t have any issue with mine but I did change it after a year as I was getting rid of the grey in my house even though it was still going strong.
It's stunning but cldnt be very hard wearing I mean you couldn't go up stairs with shoes on
We take our shoes off as soon as we get in the house so not sure if that would make a difference. So far seems pretty good. Haven’t had any issues. Xx
