I wanna buy this deck so bad but I’d never get to play it because all the decks at locals are 5000 cEDH decks and it actually pisses me off
Sorry to hear that. cEDH isn't too popular at my LGS. Hopefully you can find a group that wants to play in the mid to high tier power level, so you can enjoy blowing up some lands with this deck lol
@@InResponseEDH Brother I loved your video and the gameplay so I ended up optomizing and getting it down to like 600$ and I’m currently sleeving this deck as im typing this. New favorite deck besides my Jodah gates ;)

Flavor note. Stoneforged Mystic is not Nahiri. She is one of her acolytes left on the plane to maintain the hedron network.
That being said, I run both her and Nahiri in my Avacyn deck XD

I do love the people complaining about a mono-white Avacyn deck being uncompetitive 😂
Of course its uncompetitive SHE COSTS 8 MANA and doesn't immediately win the game when she is played. She's good, not great, and in a format with pushed commander specific cards, she is borderline bad. You play her because you like the card, you like the flavor, and/or you have fun playing the deck.
My Avacyn deck is a Voltron deck that was uncompetitive 8 years ago, but it is fun and to this day is my favorite deck.

Your protection cards listed here are sub-optimal, for their costs and effects. Here's a better list that you have omitted: Giver of Runes, Benevolent Bodyguard, Shelter, Sejiri Shelter, Gods Willing, Lightning Greaves, Loran's Escape. There are a lot more options, but those are the best, due to their 1 or 2 mana cost, no additional abilities cost, immediate usability, and cantrip effects.
This is not my deck and this episode is close to 2 years old. This is more of a deck tech of this players personal choices and not the most optimal build possible. I will give I’ll the suggestions tho. They are very good replacements

@@graceykinz You want to put Akroma, Vision of Ixador into this deck? I recently posted some changes to the deck on the archidekt page. Akroma is expensive at 7 mana and does not offer substantial buffs considering the cost but if I had to cut a card it would be Admonition Angel. Angel is good removal but there is the potential drawback of opponents getting back important cards on a clean board after a board wipe. I run the admonition angel with the hope that she sticks with Sephara's or Avacyn's protection.
would be nice to be able to afford all these cards :( my favorite creature type and i cant afford to build it
Check out the budget version of the deck. It's way more affordable. You can always slot in cheaper cards with similar effects, that you may already own.
Dont give up! I have premium cards in there to increase my speed and protection but they are not neccessary. Thanks to Kaldheim and New Capenna there is plentiful angel support that you can use to make a deck cheaper.
Imagine spending $3000 on a deck that basically can't win against any commander deck that's worth a damn. LUL
Outside of really lucky turn one hands (goes for literally every deck) this deck can't keep up with anything and gets absolutely facerolled against faster decks. NO contest.
First, I’m pretty sure he didn’t just fork over $2500 (as listed on archidekt) for the deck. The guys been playing since magic started. The only reason it’s even near that price is he listed all the masterpieces, foils and alt arts, he’s opened over the years. Take all that away and it’s a much more reasonable $1415
Second, there’s a ton of decks that get steamrolled in the face of other “faster” decks. That’s no reason to not build what you want, with the cards you already own or choose to buy. If that were the case he would just play his cEDH decks all the time
@@InResponseEDH Speaking from experience. I built this deck (proxied everything expensive since my friend group doesn't care) but still spent a few hundred on the deck, mainly swapping in stuff I felt was better, like trading Serra Paragon in, instead of using Serra Angel.
My friend on the other hand built some sort dwarf deck with infinite combos using Magda, Brazen Outlaw as the commander, and holy hell, every single turn you feel like you're in danger of losing the game against that thing.
Meanwhile, this angel deck, while potentially annoying and dangerous really only punishes people who have REALLY bad opening hands and still decide to play it out or they let you ramp up to turn 7-8 or so. And that's assuming you can play a land every turn.
I'm surprised cards like Serra Ascendant aren't part of the deck list. Pretty much most of the games I've won involved getting him out early 1 for a 6/6 flying lifelink (if you have 30 or more life) which is broken in commander format
@@SetzarothTV well I mean there you have it. If you play this in a group with infinite combos, you’re sort of signing up to lose big. I play quite a few fast decks myself, but still could lose to a chain of smog combo(happened to me recently) if I don’t have an answer in hand for one of the pieces. That doesn’t mean I wasted $1500- 2k on a deck.
