I don't think Grant's synths are the best in future bass. Although, if you are talking about his synths in comparison to other producers affiliated with Monstercat, that's a possibility.

Sound design is actually fairly basic (fairly - it can be a lil complex), however, his music theory is that good that his melodies are so complex that they give the thought of fantastic sound design when in reality the drop was made up of a saw, a vocal chop sample and a sub.

Don't forget all the percussion, fxs, mixing, instrument blending (if the sounds fit each other), structure, mastering. All this, is pretty complex in this song, Imo (ofc)
