- Well that was a pleasant surprise! This all new Regal 38 SAV (Sports Activity Vessel) is is a high performing all-rounder. This boat isn't trying to be solely a fishing boat and instead puts more focus on being a well rounded boat for many different activities. I knew the quality would be top notch being a Regal but the performance surprised me - in a good way!

I found this an easy to handle, predictable, smooth and dry boat to drive. She's also full of excitement if you want her to be which left me with big smiles all round.

Nice review however this is not a bay boat it needs to be tested as it deserves too out in the ocean in some real chop
Oh i 100% agree. It's definately an offshore boat. The challenge we had on that day was the conditions. 3 - 5m swell (10 - 16ft) with full breaking waves at the exit to the bar on the outgoing tide. The waves were just too big and steep for me to fly the drone in as i fly from sitting downstairs in the cabin. If we get access to the boat in Sydney one day i'd love to film an offshore run for you guys.

Test this boat with a Sea Faring Captain and test this out off shore in the Ocean
Yeah the challange was the outgoing tide and large breaking waves at the exit to the bar on that day. Flying my drone from sitting downstairs on the toilet would have been too difficult. Hopefully we'll get access to the boat another time for you guys to see her offshore as she'd definately run well in the swell.

Glad you liked it! I've started the edit so will try to finish and upload it over the next few weeks. I'm off to Italy and then NZ this month to film some other cool boats so will be a bit of a tight schedule but i will try.

Yes there is a walkthrough but i havn't finished editing it yet! Will upload it soon. This is a very interesting boat for Regal and worth investigating.

Great boat! But thankyou. I think the idea is to just get to your destination as quickly as possible so fuel consumption overall isn't that bad.
